Women's Phurtec™ II Softshell Jacket is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 53.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for wet climates Comfy fleece, very warm on the inside. The fit is tailored and very flattering. I love this jacket on cold, wet days. From humid, chilly winters in the south to blizzards in the north, the jacket has kept me warm through it all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket! I'm really petite 5'2 and about 107 pounds and I would highly recommend to buy a side up! I'm usually an xs but ordering a small fit me perfectly! I have extra room and nothing isn't too big on me. Also it's great for hiking I went up to carson to try it out and it was great. you aren't too warm, waterproof but i recommend a rain jacket to take out with you just incase! I got the rustic deep red and it's darker than the picture make it but it's still a really pretty color! great for running around doing errands or going hiking!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Coat I love this coat. It's very warm and cozy. Does a great job cutting the wind chill. Comfortable cut and construction. Provides a wide range of movement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and perfect in size I bought this for my 13 yr-old daughter and she loved this jacket the moment she saw it. The size is perfect as described and the texture provides a soft and comfy touch. Honest to say, this is beyond my expectation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Runs Very Small I really like this coat and I ordered a size up. It fits but the sleeves are really tight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Found a jacket like my last one I had a jacket that was almost the same and I was so excited to find this one!!! This jacket fits great and has a nice hour glass shape that is very flattering. I also like that the back comes just a little lower than the front.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!! This is the most comfortable jacket I have ever worn. It's like wearing a soft fluffy blanket. It does run a little small but that's perfect for me because I am very tiny. The hood is also a good size. Can't think of anything I would change. So happy with my purchase :) (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Jacket is so comfortable I love this jacket, it fits so comfortably and keeps me warm in this spring weather, however the arms are just an inch too short. Still love it though!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money I live in the cold MN, it gets chilly here. This jacket was perfectly suitable for the weather we experience. I can feel the wind hitting my face but I can't feel it where my jacket cover me. It is so soft and very mobile.
Date published: 2017-02-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Warm! Love this jacket so much! Its completely lined with fur/sherpa?(not really sure what to call it) Even the complete sleeves, which most jackets never do. Keeps me incredibly warm even in 50 degree weather, i just wear a long sleeve under it. I'm normally a L but since a majority of the reviews said it runs small I'm glad I got the XL but I think this size runs half a size to big

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft, cozy, and cute! Ordered XS originally but wasn't as long in the front as I would've liked (107 lb, 5'1) Sleeves and width were good though. S fits well with a little room for motion. Purple is deep and rich and adds a little color to the dull of winter. Haven't worn it in the cold, but I bought it intending to use it for a quick thing to throw on when running errands or out for dinner, when I won't be outside long. Longer parkas are for the blustering blizzards of winter but this, with a few layers underneath, should make do for light activity outside when elements are calm. Whenever I buy a nice coat or jacket I feel so fortunate for being privileged enough to fuss over what keeps me warm, and eager to give to those who aren't! 'Tis the season!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it. This jacket is great. Looks clean and tailored, and extremely warm. I compared this jacket to the Mountain Hardwear Pyxiana or whatever it's called - they're basically the same jacket, except this one has a larger hood whereas the MH hood was tiny and would have provided no protection or warmth. Pretty sure the MH one was slightly shorter in the torso. In addition, this jacket is cheaper. Win-win!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm, soft and ready for Washington I am 5'3" , 130lbs., I purchased a large after reading a few reviews about the fit. I love the fit! It's very warm and the inside is very plush. I am hoping that this will serve me for many seasons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I was looking for I live in Oregon, and I was looking for a thicker raincoat. This coat not only keeps me dry, but warm as well. I love that the wrists and hood have adjustable velcro, and that the pockets are deep enough for my phone and keys. I usually wear a small, but ordered a medium (after reading the reviews) and it fits just right. Would definitely recommend this jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great jacket! I personally like the fit of the jacket! It may run small but it still allows for some room for other clothes underneath. It seems to fit pretty great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice jacket! I bought the extra large because I had read previous reviews that said it ran small. I'm 5'6" 145 with broad shoulders. I usually wear a large but I'm taking this on a trip next fall, so I wanted to be able to wear sweaters and layers underneath. I think it will be perfect. It's comfortable and super soft on the inside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite jacket! I wanted a jacket that I could throw on in the winter and go to the gym. This jacket is so much more! For such a light weight jacket its warm and windproof. And flattering! I wear it all the time -- to work, to the gym, all around town. The fleece in it is so comfortable and soft I sometimes don't even take it off when I come into the house. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This jacket was very well recieved and met daughters exectations. I ordered for my daughter for Christmas b/c after looking for it in the stores I was unable to find anything comparable. She had found it on your site to show us what she wanted. The box was delivered very quickly and I was very pleased. However, I was a little upset when I got back on here and the price had gone from $120 to $89. Oh well tis the season I guess.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Runs a little small Thankful I tried this on in the store. I tried on a small (my usual size) and it fit a little tight. I tried on a medium and it fit great, a little long on my arms though because I'm short (about 5'1-2), but it doesn't bother me much. Absolutely love this jacket!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great jacket... BUT I never spend this kind of money so I was excited to receive my brand new XL Women’s Phurtec II Softshell jacket. From the moment I put one arm through the sleeve, something didn’t feel right. I continued with my other arm and was disappointed that the underarm part of the jacket was too snug fitting and bothered me. Every other aspect of this jackets was sized properly, I am not a big person. I am 45yrs old, 5’5” tall, weigh approx. 156lbs and don’t work out so my arms aren’t buff but not too flabby. I thought I was shipped the wrong size but I ordered an XL and received an XL. Everything else about this jacket is well made. It has two nice roomy inside pockets that I never find on other jackets. My only irritants were (other than the pits being too tight under my arm) was the fleece being fuzzier than in the men’s style, and seems to grab onto your clothing. Second, the “adjustable” hood drawstrings need to come with instructions on how to use. Not sure if you’re supposed to pull it, or attach it somehow to the other side. Doesn’t feel right and I still can’t figure it out. This jacket needs to state that it is made for athletic armed women that work out every day and not for average women. Also, it’s not meant to be worn over anything other than thin athletic wear or muscle shirt. Disappointed that it doesn’t come in a larger size. I will be returning and ordering something else.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warmer than expected I bought this to replace an off brand fleece lined jacket that had gotten too small. After reading the other reviews I ordered a size up (normally I wear shirts in a Medium, ordered this in a large). Very glad I ordered the bigger size, I don't think I could have zipped up a medium, the large fits snug. The sleeves are long, which I expected going up a size. The jacket is also much warmer than I anticipated. My only issue is that the sleeves seem tight; it's ok if I am wearing short sleeve, 3/4 sleeve or a thin long sleeve, but a thicker long sleeve is slightly uncomfortable. Not so much that I will return the jacket, but just something to be aware of.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the perfect jacket I was so excited to order this jacket after reading all the reviews...but...it wasn't quite what I was expecting. I'm usually a size small in most tops/jackets (even my last Columbia jacket) but this jacket runs quite small in my opinion, perhaps I should have ordered a size medium?.. but it's just not a keeper. I'm 5'5, 120lbs, B chested for reference. A few things I didn't like...the length in the front is much shorter than the back, fist pumping in the air isn't pretty as your belly becomes exposed(It would have been nice to have a longer length all the way around) Velcro around the wrist cuffs don't quite adhere all the way, so there's a weird gap of fabric on each wrist that dangles. The side pocket zippers are very dainty with this string they put on the zippers. Trying to zip the main zipper all the way up is quite tight coming up to the face. What I did like...the fuzzy fleece lining through out the jacket(main reason I ordered it) The outside material itself is quite nice. I ordered the burgundy colour which is gorgeous. I'm quite perticular about my jackets & this one didn't make the cut unfortunately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent climate proof jacket This jacket is super warm, soft, stretchy, wind-proof and breathable. When whether changes quickly, I could just have this jacket on top of my short-sleeve tee and stay warm even in cold weather. With the adjustable pull-strap around the hood, I felt like my body inside the jacket is completely protected from the harsh weather conditions. If weather is below 40s, you can wear an extra layer inside to get more warmth. It perfectly blocks chilly winds and some light rain too. The soft plush lining is all the way through your back, arms, and hood. As a soft shell jacket, this one does not make any rustling sound and very easy to move around with. My usual size xs fits great for me, but you may like to order a size up if you like to wear some bulky clothes underneath (although I don't think you need to with this jacket).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, but not great I mainly bought this because I needed something for the cold weather but a little lighter than a 3-in-1 and the price was great. I was under the impression that this jacket would be blocking out wind, which it does...to a degree. Still felt cold at times even when it was chilly. Definitely fine for when its 30 degrees or warmer, but nothing colder than that without additional layers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Work Jacket! I bought this to replace a NF that didn't quite keep out the cold like it was supposed too. Living in Louisiana is tricky, 90 one day and 40/ raining the next; so I needed something that was functional since I am an outside sales rep and always in and out of my car. I am so grateful I found this jacket! It's perfect! Not only does it keep me warm, but it's amazing in the rain! The only snag I had was with the sizing, I'm 5'1 113 and the small fit perfect, but I did upgrade to a medium (arms are long, but expected) only because of the "active" fit of the jacket and I needed to be able to fit layers underneath if needed and also needed more range of motion when I'm in the car (I hate taking my jacket on and off in the car). Overall this jacket gets an A+ in my book! I'll probably scoop up a Small for my personal use, since I got my company logo embroidered on the one I have now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome for Florida winter nights! As a recent midwest-to-florida transplant, I was looking for a softshell that would keep me warm in the early mornings and evenings when the temperature would dip into the 40's and low 50's but would also protect me when it started raining, since wool peacoats were not cutting it, plus they were too bulky. I get cold easily (always the person with a sweater in the office) so the full fleece-lining is awesome, plus the wind-resistance is great, so you don't lose your warmth when the breeze kicks up. I haven't worn it in a full down-pour, but in moderate rain it performed really well, I stayed dry. The coat is lightweight, and the fleece lining only adds a small amount of bulk. The cut is really nice, not boxy, plus the length of the body and the sleeves is great, just long enough. I always need a hood on my coats, because you never know when you might need it! If I could change one thing about this coat, I would get rid of the velco fasteners at the wrists, since they are a little too bulky and not really that useful. But overall I LOVE this coat and would buy it over and over again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from For cooler days The jacket is a very pretty blue, true to picture. Sleeves are a good length, I like them halfway down my hand, with functional velcro cuffs. I ordered a M even though I'm 5'2" 117, intended to layer underneath since I'm always cold. I am able to wear a tighter hoodie underneath easily. The fleece goes all the way down the arms to keep them warm. On cooler days I can manage with just a t-shirt underneath and still stay warm. Cold days (35 degrees) the hoodie is needed. The hood which is attached provides good cover when jacket is zipped and does not have a tendency to fly back even in windy conditions. Fits well when driving and not bunchy or uncomfortable. I wish it was a little heavier and thicker

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Columbia quality is excellent I love the jacket, it may be a little too warm for Florida. I wore for the first time yesterday 42 degrees. I wish it was not lined. Maybe I should have bought a large so it is not so close to the body. I usually buy a small or medium but vet fitted jacket. The material is wonderful and quality the same. It would be great for cooler climate. Your products are always the best

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PERFECT for tall woman I am tall and thin. I had hard time to find jacket because most of jackets are short sleeves. Some of size are not fitting me like too big for my body but the sleeves are too short. frustrated! Now I learned that Columbia clothes are perfect for tall. I like this store more than other stores. I did buy raincoat, fall jacket, winter jacket and softshell jacket.. love them!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Than Expected I love this jacket. I wanted something to wear in the fall/early winter before it was too cold, with fleece lining and a hood. I couldn't find anything in retail stores so took a chance and bought this online, something I rarely do because I'm between a medium and large so difficult to fit. I'm glad I took a chance because it fits perfectly and has all the features I wanted plus it looks good, too. I think the jacket will keep me warm for most of the winter and I live in Maine! Highly recommend this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In Love I ordered this jacket just before the rainy season really kicked in where I live and I could not be happier with the purchase. This jacket has proven to be worth even more than I paid for it in my opinion. The soft lining runs all the way down the inside of the sleeve and the outer material keeps me completely dry even in the worst storms. It fits close to my body without being suffocating and I have the freedom to move freely without feeling restricted or too hot. I would by this jacket over and over again if I had to.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So warm! I really love this coat. I bought this to replace a North Face and ended up liking this jacket more. It's extremely warm and not too bulky. I really like that the coat is lined through the sleeves. The only con is that it does run a little small. The XL fits me the way a L usually does, except the sleeves are too long. Overall though, I'd recommend this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket I really like this jacket!! xs fit perfectly (5'4 & 116 lbs)... though it is a little shorter in the front, it's not bad or noticeable at all. It's super warm & soft. I've gotten a lot of compliments & people asking where I got it, too. Really like this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Multi-Climate Jacket I bought this jacket for the rainy months in Oregon last fall and was able to use it for the winter months in Louisiana. This jacket is amazing! Super comfortable to wear, non-bulky, easy to drive or do anything with it on, and super easy to clean. As for sizing: mine fits perfectly. I even checked the sizing chart and the measurements were on the dot for my size. My only problem with it is that my draw-cord for my hood broke on the left side on its second use. Other than that, this is the perfect jacket for any cool or rainy weather!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I bought this jacket just in time, the past few weeks weather has been below 30 degrees all the time. I love throwing a layer or two underneath the jacket and I am warm and ready to go. I haven't spent a long period of time out in it yet, but am sure it will hold up pretty well. Definitely worth the price!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great all purpose light jacket I ordered this in xsmall. I am 5'4" and 112 pounds. The fit is perfect. This jacket is ideal for windy, cooler days. I use it all the time during the winter months in Mexico City where the temperature hits around 40 in the evenings and mornings. However, there is enough room for layering, so I was also able to use it in colder weather (in the 30s). The fleece lining is a great detail. I ordered it in the hibiscus red. The color is vibrant, orangey, slightly pinkish. Think of a red hibiscus flower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT!! Most jackets when they say fleeced lined, only the body is fleece lined. THIS jacket the fleece lining continues down the arms for full body warmth. The other plus is that its water proof. You can stay warm and dry on a chilly rainy day. I haven't tested it out n freezing temperatures, but its been great on the colder (mid 30's) days. The cut of the jacket hits right at the hips and covers my bottom. Its also slimming not bulky! Excellent jacket!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, great price I bought this coat to replace a NF and I have to say, I wish I had gone with Columbia in the first place! I love the fact that this jacket has a hood. I also like the adjustable sleeves. This helps when wearing bulkier sweatshirts underneath. A small fits well (I'm 5'1) with plenty of room for hoodies underneath, while not being bulky without. Very warm and wind resistant as well. I'm just hoping the white stays white!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best jacket ever! This jacket has kept me warm, dry, and stylish. It fits perfectly (5'7, 130lbs, got a small) and I have used it every day since I got it. I have hiked, gone to work, and even ran in it during a cold snap. I absolutely love this jacket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Jacket is Great! I recieced the jacket right on time with shipping. I'm 5'7 and a size 6, The fit was very true to size (medium). It keeps me warm but it isn't too warm. I go to college in Mississippi but i'm from Illinois so I needed a functional jacket for both climates. It has a hard shell outside but its fury on the inside. Love the jacket!!
