Women's Platinum 860 TurboDown™ Down Jacket - Plus Size is rated out of 5 by 10.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Jilllzy from Just Okay I may have had high expectations for this jacket. As a person who is always cold, sometimes even in the summer I thought this would keep me nice and toasty. It was much lighter than all my other winter jackets, but just about the same warmth. not sure if I would spend the money again – luckily this was mostly a gift. I wish the bottom edge had a slight elastic to it as the cold air drafted up. It was kinda too big/very roomy up top and a little snug on the bottom. My boyfriend got the same thing, but his came with a removable hood.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wingless from Yes, it really will keep you warm! Some basic info about me: I'm 5' 0", busty (36I or J), and short-waisted (28" inseam). Like most short "curvy" women, I have a very hard time shopping for coats. I tried this jacket in a 1X and XL. The XL was much too snug on my chest; I could barely zip the jacket up. The 1X is actually a bit loose across my chest and very loose everywhere else. If only Columbia offered this jacket in a 0X/14W… But I decided to keep the 1X. I'll see about having the waist taken in later. I suspect for someone who's truly a 16W, this jacket might fit true to size. The jacket hem covers my hips, but doesn't completely cover my butt. I assume the hem falls higher on taller women. The sleeves are very long on me. The cuff ends an inch beyond my knuckles. To fix this, I just roll the cuff under and tuck it up my wrist until I reach a good sleeve length. Since the cuff is a thin band of elastic, it stays put. This works pretty well for me, but I'll add sleeve length to my tailoring list for this jacket. I have full range of arm motion in this jacket, thanks to the raglan sleeve design. This is very important when you're constantly reaching up for things in a world made for taller people. Also, the upper arm circumference is big enough that my arms don't feel constricted at all. "So how warm is this jacket?" I wore it yesterday when it was 16 degrees F outside, plus occasional wind gusts. Under this jacket, I wore a thin wool sweater, thin t-shirt, and a cami top. (I also wore my Minx Mid boots, which have an Omni-Heat lining.) Then I walked to and waited at a bus stop. Walked around a bit more outside, and waited a bit longer for the return bus ride home. My face and thighs were very cold. The rest of me was nice and toasty. The key there is that I walked outside while wearing the jacket. It does a good job of retaining the body heat I produce. I wouldn't wear this jacket if I planned to sit still for an hour at an outdoor football stadium -- though the down fill is an impressive 800, which should still keep me from freezing. But really, I think it's the Omni-Heat lining that warms me up. Since I walk and take public transportation everywhere in this city, this jacket does the job for me. I just wish it came in a size between XL and 1X.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TMARR from Winter Warmness For NYC I'll describe a bit about myself before I go into my review. - I'm 6'2 inchs, 250+ pounds, I have long arms and a large bust I usually wear a size 2x. Now, I first ordered this coat in a 3xL in black I thought maybe it'd run a little small so if I order up the coat would fit AND I'd be able to add a thick fleece under. The coat arrived and it was way too big. I returned it for a 2xl in grey which now fits great the arms are super long which I love !. I live in NYC so I wanted a coat that wasn't too puffy but warm this is perfect I've worn it in 30 degree nights and I've been very comfortable! Don't think twice buy this coat

Rated 4 out of 5 by buckshot49 from Love the coat The coat fits well and has great style. I've gotten many compliments on it. It's tailored well and light so it doesn't give an overly bulky look even at a plus size. However, I was a little disappointed on how warm it is. I guess I expected more, but then it was easily -10*. No regrets on buying it though. I did purchase another coat for the very cold weather but will use this for early winter or before spring completely gets here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pebbles127 from I love this jacket. When I picked up the shipping box, I was amazed at how light it felt. When I took the jacket out of the box, I thought "This is supposed to keep me warm?" My jacket arrived just at the end of winter storm Astro. It kept me so toasty warm without being big and bulky.

Rated 4 out of 5 by obcorgi from Rework the sleeves please. Sleeves are ridiculously long and don't have any adjustment. The cuff is weak and drafty. I had mine altered and a better cuff put on because as a plus sized woman I often have to put up with a marginal fit and just alter my clothing. Sigh. For the price, this jacket could be a lot better with a few slight modifications.
