This is a great cut and shape, flattering, warm though thin and not bulky. BUT it runs quite small, so size up. (I'm 5'5, 118 and normally an XS in everything.) I'll be exchanging it for the correct size because I really like it.

overall would reccomend this jacket
I'm 5'5 and 20 weeks pregnant thought for sure the medium would be too small based on the reviews but fits just right besides the tightness on the pregnant belly of course. if anything the shoulders are a little big but perfect for layering. in love with this coat!

Runs really small
I typically wear a xs or small. Both the small and medium don’t fit. I have now ordered a large - hopefully the large will fit. It runs small overall. I could barely zip the medium. If it fits it will be a nice jacket which is why I am now ordering the large.

Good length, runs small
I am 5' 5", 135 lb. I do like the length, it is mid-thigh on me. I got the black cherry color, which I like. It's not too bright, a good understated color while still being feminine. It's lightweight but really warm (and we've had a few 5 degree days already in November). The hood feature is good, it covers well and stays put but isn't bulky when not in use. I also like the interesting design of the quilting. Now about the size... reading reviews about how it runs small, I decided to get a large. It's pretty much a perfect size for me, and I am not a large person. I worried that the sleeves would be too long, but they are fine. So that is my only caveat, get a size larger than you would normally wear. I do wish it had an inner drawstring at the waist just to adjust the fit a bit. Overall, I do recommend this jacket. Stylish and warm!

Toasty but Small
Wish I would have heeded other reviewers and gone up two sizes instead of one. I am normally S-M so thought going with the large would be enough. I should have sized up to XL. Love the jacket and it will work well here in SoCal when the temps dip and a thin sweater and jacket will suffice, but we are headed to colder territory where heavier sweaters will be necessary—alas, the jacket won’t accommodate bulkier sweaters. Thus, I’m borrowing a warm jacket for our trip from a friend and keeping the jacket for walking the dog here at home.

I loved the jacket but had to return for a larger size. The arms were to small. The length great but did not fit if I wore a sweater. This jacket was very warm and easy to wear. The back length covered my backside nicely. I recommend.

Love this coat!
Lightweight but warm jacket. Very flattering fitted shape. I bought a small & it is snug in the waist. I am 5’7”, 122 lbs & usually buy a size 4/XS. If you are not tiny in the waist area, size up! Arms are generous, but I couldn’t wear a bulky sweater under this coat without it being too snug zipped up. I do love the form fitting look, so I will just wear thin layers under it.

It runs super small.
I usually wear a 6/8 so I bought a medium. This jacket is ridiculously small and it’s going back for sizing. However it seems like it would be a really warm coat but packable. For this reason I’m hoping the large fits but isn’t too large in the shoulders.

Cute jacket - I like the cut as it isn't boxy and let's a woman's shape show through. It does run small. I ordered a Meidum, but it fits likea small. A Large might have been better, especially with bulkier sweaters underneath.

Love a coat with Omniheat lining and this coat is no exception
I have a shorter Columbia jacket I bought years ago that has the Omniheat lining, and it's the warmest jacket I own. In fact, if I wear it shopping, I have to shed the jacket because I get too warm indoors. I needed a longer jacket that would cover my backside , especially for wearing to chilly football games, so I thought I'd give the Powder Lite Mid Jacket a shot. I love this coat, especially that it's fitted and makes me look like I have an actual waist. I'm 5'11", 150 lbs, with an athletic build and usually wear a Size Medium or 8/10, but I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered the Large. It fits perfectly, with a little room to spare for a sweater. Also, the sleeves are super long, so they might be a problem for someone who doesn't have monkey arms like me. ;-) It's June, so it's too warm for me to "test" my new coat, but I'm sure it's going to keep me toasting warm.

I love this coat, well made and fashionable, just the right length for my 5"3" frame. Only thing that wasn't great is that it runs about 2 sizes too small! I will have to lose a little for it to fit better next winter! Overall I would recommend this coat, just size up a couple sizes.

Love this coat!
This is a great coat for cold, but not frigid, temperatures. It is incredibly lightweight considering the warmth it provides. I find the elastic wrist a real plus with regard to the cold. It has a tapered cut and and so the fact that the zipper can be opened from the bottom helps when bending over. The 2 zippered pockets lie flat and are a nice size. It does run very small though. I am 5' 31/2" tall and 100 lbs. Usually I wear XS and even these can be a little big on me. I ordered S because of the reviews and wouldn't mind if it was a little looser. I can wear a sweater under it but not a bulky one. Overall I really love this coat.

Good for walking in winter
I usually wear a small but got a medium in this and it's still not huge. I got it mostly because I wanted a longer length coat to wear over cardigans. The coat looks great on me. It seems to be of very high quality. So far I have worn it several times on my outdoor walks. It has been in the 30s. I am usually wearing a long sleeve tshirt, sweater, and the coat. I like the hood---no cinch but it stays up without covering my eyes at all. When I start out walking I am not really warm; my arms are a little cold. This continues until I have walked a good distance--maybe a mile. Then I warm up but don't sweat---this is a good thing. It takes some hills to get me sweating in this coat, and even then it's not nearly as bad as in my tekgear coat from Kohl's. I live in TN now so this coat is good for the weather---not too warm. If I still lived in NY, I would probably want something warmer.

I have had a similar style Small jacket from Columbia for a few years, I ordered this because I loved my old one so much and liked the thin body! When I got it and zipped it up it was tight, too tight to wear with normal clothes let alone bundle underneath! I will reorder with a larger size!

Sizing off and fit off
Following the size chart, I ordered a M in this coat, only to find that I could barely get it zipped up! Usually I wear a S. So I returned the M and ordered the L . When it finally arrived, I found that the body fit well but the shoulders and sleeves were far too large for my 125 lb, 5'4" frame.
Quality seems very good but the sizing is very strange. I would hesitant to order another Columbia product.

Nice but a little snug
This is a very nice quality jacket. I have not tried it out in very cold weather but it looks like it will be warm. The only complaint I have is it feels a little snug around the hips. The rest fits great! I love the color, and delivery was on time. I really like Columbia and this jacket did not disappoint. I might have gone a size up for sure though.

Perfect all- around jacket!
I was waiting and looking for that perfect jacket that was not to bulky or did not fit just right. This jacket hit all the points with me. Great but runs small!
Super cute jacket! The only downfall is that it runs smallz I decided to risk it and buy the usual size I wear (L) since the XL was sold out. Lightweight around town winter coat
This coat runs smaller and doesn’t stretch. Better to size up on the size you generally wear or keep in mind if you wear a small/med shirt, it’s better to buy the medium especially if you’re wearing multiples clothing layers underneath.
