Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this coat! The color caught my eye first; it's a beautiful purple color. So glad I bought this coat. It feels like it would be light but it kept me very warm during the cold!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprisingly warm I wanted a longer coat that wasn't really bulky. This one works very well. On really cold days I layer up and so far this has kept me warm. It has both patch and zipped pockets in the front. Nice to have the option but slightly awkward. Not a big deal though. It's a great jacket for what I needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value I purchased this item to replace a winter jacket. I decided to pick this jacket because it looked warm (and was on sale). I am happy with the purchase but I recommend wearing layers. The fleece lining is only in the chest and hands (which is great) but the arms aren't covered. I live in Chicago and I am traveling to Europe and I am looking for a warmer jacket for those brutal days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Obsessed! I do not like winter, but I couldn't wait for the temperature to drop to wear this coat! It provides a lot of warmth and is very comfortable. The hood fits pretty well over my head, even with a hat on. The pockets are generous in size and there is even an inside chest pocket perfect for stashing cash. I absolutely think this coat was worth the amount I paid for it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Color is very faded The color "Dusty Purple" makes the jacket look very old even though the jacket was brand new. The Jacket is good but a different color will definitely be better

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In Love! I'm usually more attracted to fashion jackets, but after suffering through being persistently cold last year during my vacation I decided to look for something more functional. The Prima Element jacket kept popping up and I'm so glad I took the chance on it. The XS ran a tad bit big on me but the slight looseness worked really well with a chunky sweater underneath so I'm glad there's wiggle room. Despite being a little lose loose, its fit is VERY flattering around my waist, shoulders and arms. The arm length runs down to just past my wrists, and there's fuzzy inside the cuff which means no surprise breezes up the sleeves. I love the hood, as well. It fits my head perfectly and was not swayed off by the wind. The pockets are very interesting. You have two pockets in one spot, essentially! The front set of pockets are the ones you see in the photos, with the button for closure. On the side of these pockets are zippers that give access to another set of pockets. These side pockets feel more intuitive for hands and the pocket seems to rest in a deeper layer in the jacket so they're also warmer than the front button pockets. Lastly, this coat being rain resistant without the swishy material is an EXCELLENT bonus. Keeps it functional while looking classy. All around great coat!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great coat This appears to be a great coat. The lining was very comfortable. It appeared to be well-made. Unfortunately, it was just slightly small for me, especially with layers underneath, so I had to return it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love! This coat is perfect. I love the color. The inside is soft and super warm. It’s a great length. I honestly love having to put this coat on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Coat I am 5'0" and 110 lbs. and the XS fits really well. I have slightly broader shoulders, so a Small might have fit a little better but overall this still works perfectly fine. I thought that I would use this jacket as a transition between Fall and Winter, but then I realized that it is SUPER warm. I love the wooly lining and the fact that the wooly lining stops at the sleeves so that I can put my arms in without worrying about my sweater sleeves being pushed up. There is also a wooly cuff on the inside so it still feels warm at the wrists! There are so many pockets and the hood fits really well. I've purchased Columbia coats before, but this is definitely my favorite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Fit and Color! This jacket is the perfect length and material. The fit is true to size and comfortable. I am heading to Iceland and needed a jacket I can wear while exploring the country and this was the winner! I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This coat is true to size So happy with this coat! It’s true to size and it not like all the other winter jackets ... it’s not “puffy”.. I don’t care for puffy coats ! And the soft lining inside feels sooo great!! It’s the kinda of coat I would grab to run all my errands !! Great for Indiana winters :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for winter Love this jacket!! It’s warm and super comfortable. It’s perfect for the winter. The only thing is the navy is more of a grey blue color, than a true navy. Definitely would recommend this product!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tight in underarms Very large in waist and so tight under arms there’s no room for a light sweater under. I’m 5’6 146 normal build. Wish there was a draw cord to since waist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Satisfying Jacket! I bought this with the intention of something that is cozy and stylish, especially to wear around campus. I do a lot of walking and this jacket keeps me warm. I’ve tried it in 35 degrees and up, and in rain, and I wasn’t cold! It is waterproof too. I’m 5’4 115lbs and I got an extra small, which fit great. I still had space for a somewhat thick longsleeve or hoodie. I recommend going up a size if you want to put a decent-sized hoodie underneath, does well without one though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Sherpa Coat Love the color, love the fit. This jacket keeps me warmer than my down coat with all that sherpa lined goodness. So worth the price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this coat! This coat is such great quality! I am a very tall person with long arms and the arm length is perfect for me. Could not be happier!
Date published: 2017-12-01
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new favorite jacket! I needed a warm, rain-resistant jacket that I could use over business attire since I visit the Portland area in the winter season for business. Wool coats irritate my skin and often don't come with hoods-- nor are they made for the rain. This jacket is warm, comfortable and suitable for business. I'm 5'2' and find this coat is a good length. Not too long for my height like most parkas or anorak styles.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from cute color! good quality good jacket, but the sleeves are too long.
Date published: 2017-11-27
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this fall jacket! This jacket is certainly warm! The lining is very soft, making the jacket comfortable to wear. I wore it outside the other day in the rain, and it didn’t even let any of the rain through. Would highly recommend this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Winter wardrobe staple Beautiful color, warm soft lining, water resistance works well in a light rain. Hood covers well, very stylish, receives lots of compliments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome jacket I first bought one in India Ink and ended up loving the jacket so much, I bought it in Gravel as well. It looks great on and keeps me so warm. It is definitely the jacket I turn to for everyday use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat! This jacket is perfect for what I needed! It is not bulky and big, but it keeps me warm and cozy at the same time. The pockets are great as they have both flap pockets and zipper pockets. The small is true to size and fits perfectly. Also, the length of the jacket is not too long or too short - just right. I’ve gotten multiple compliments on this jacket and its stylish designs on the pockets and back. The best winter jacket I’ve had! Thank you Columbia!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Jacket I live in Wisconsin, and this jacket keeps me warm most of the time. I'm usually cold, and this jacket keeps me warm most of the time. For me, it's great for late fall and most winter days. I wore this jacket all last winter (in temperatures ranging from about 45 degrees to -20 degrees). I'd say it's ideal for temperatures between about 20 and 40 degrees with just one layer under it (but who wants to be outside when it's colder than that anyway). It also keeps me dry in rainy/snowy weather. I don't like the two-way zipper (it gets stuck and doesn't always work). I really like the inside pocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great go to jacket! Really love this jacket. The outer fabric is a little thinner than I expected, but it's perfect for running errands, and taking walks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for northwest weather My 42" bust put me in the large category, while the rest of my measurements had me in the Medium category. I had no idea which jacket to get, so I ordered both. The medium actually fits perfectly! With the waist cinched in, there is enough room for some layering. If I am wearing my thickest hoodie underneath it feels a little snug when I sit, but I just uncinch it and it feels fine. I tried on the large and it was WAY bigger! It looked baggy and frumpy compared to the medium, the sleeves were annoyingly long, and the hood was hanging over my face. If you are between sizes like me, I suggest going to the smaller size. Otherwise, stick with your usual size and you should be fine. Don't size up for layering, you won't need to. I think the jacket is really cute as long as you get a proper fit. I like the silhouette when the waist is tightened, it's casual enough for daily wear but it is also feminine and can dress up easily. It looks really great with a short skirt and leggings/boots combo. I am very picky, so it was a struggle to find the perfect PNW winter coat but this is it! Winters here usually stay between 30 and 40 degrees in the daytime, and it rains most days. I wanted something that was waterproof and warm, but not too warm for our mild winters. I also wanted something long enough to cover my butt that looked good and wasn't too expensive. This coat met every requirement, except it did not come in black. I almost didn't buy it for that reason and I am SO glad I did! I got the green and it looks really nice in person. The material feels durable and the lining is very cozy. I have worn it in dry weather around 30 degrees with minimal layers and been comfortable. I have also worn it in 50+ degree weather without getting too overheated. It has kept me dry in rain. When I was out in pouring rain for an extended time I did start to feel a little damp but the inside of the coat felt dry and I didn't see any signs of water leaking through. You really can't expect to stay 100% dry in those conditions though, even with gortex and completely sealed seams I think you will notice some dampness. As a water resistant (not waterproof) coat, it does the job well. It does keep you warmer in dry conditions than wet though. You can't really tell from the pictures, but there are 4 pockets on the front. You have the 2 large pockets and then pockets behind them that you can put your hands in to keep them warm. I LOVE the large pockets on the front! When I run into a store to grab a quick snack on my way to class and then I have to hurry to my bus its really convenient to use those pockets instead of having to take off my backpack. They hold a lot too, I can fit a whole sandwich (with room) in one and a 1-liter bottle of water in the other. the zipper is tough metal, I can tell it won't break easily and it is nice to have the double zipper feature so it is not tight around my thighs when I am sitting on the bus. I am so happy that I bought this coat and I definitely recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super warm, cozy and cute! I used the measuring tools provided on the site when determining what size to order. I'm about 5'6, 135 lbs and I ordered a small. The small fits, its just a little bit large, looks almost like it should be a medium. Either way though, its still a really warm and cute jacket. Im happy with my purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and comfy Its nice and warm. I always go for function over fashion but this jacket meets both.
Date published: 2017-10-28
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice, warm Nice, warm jacket. I ordered the "gravel" but it is definitely green! I like the green so am excited but was expecting a gray coat. It does run a bit large through the shoulders, sleeves and waist, but will be good for layering underneath.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Warm Jacket...fraying on seams after 4 months. I love this jacket, it kept me so warm all winter. Sadly only after wearing it since December 2016 it seams have begun to fray as well as inside the pockets the material is getting worn like I've had this jacket for years instead of 4 months.
Date published: 2017-03-31
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Canvas coat I looooove this coat. It has the best hood I've ever worn. However, the fur lining (so warm!) is matted and worn on the lining on the part that covers your butt, which took only two weeks. The lining also sticks to my pants and causes the coat to ride up. (Replacing this portion of the lining with something similar to the arm lining would address both problems)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Casual look Purchased this jacket on sale. I thought the color was a brownish color when I ordered it, but it is a gray. I like gray so that was fine. I am finding that this jacket is the one I am grabbing first to leave the house. (I have many jackets) It keeps me warm which I love. Sometimes jackets keep the body warm, but not my arms as they use different fabric for the arms. This jacket, although different fabric in the arms keeps my arms warm too. I am very comfortable in the cold with this jacket. It is a casual look with a cute tab in back. The only thing I do not like about it is that it looks wrinkly all over. Even the hood looks wrinkled. But I like the look and the warmth, so I am over-looking the wrinkles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adore This Coat!! I bought this coat for myself as a lighter winter coat and adore it!! It is lightweight but very warm. The sleeves are longer (which I love) and allows for better movement. It is adorable and I love it!! I would have bought another color but my size was sold out already...and the cost was awesome for such a great coat!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My New Favourite Jacket I'm Australian and had to rely on Australian winter clothing for ages. Ever since I bought this jacket, it's the only jacket I've worn. It's so warm and comfortable. I'm 5'11" and the M just covers my bum. It's also big enough to wear layers underneath. I love the fluffy inner lining, and the pockets keep my hands nice and warm. The pockets are also nice and big so I can fit my phone, iPod, wallet, and hands in them. GREAT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product! I bought the one in purple and it fits me perfectly. The quality is surprisingly good in keeping me warm with a soft material in the inside.
Date published: 2016-12-29
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good enough I like the jacket. Its light weight jacket for fall/spring, but I'm using it in winter over a thick fleece. Love the style and fits perfectly.
Date published: 2016-12-28
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Jacket This jacket is awesome. It's thin but incredibly warm. You won't feel bulky in it. The outside material is water resistant but isn't slick and doesn't get cold. I love the double pockets in the front. You can wear this with a nice outfit or jeans and a tshirt. My only complaint is tiny - the jacket has a double zipper and it can be a little irritating to get them lined up correctly.
Date published: 2016-12-27
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!! This jacket keeps you warm and is not too thick.
Date published: 2016-12-26
Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT! The jacket fit very well! It's true to size and very soft from the inside! With most jackets i usually buy I need a separate sweater underneath to keep me warm but not with this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Jacket I love this jacket, it is nice and warm and the fuzzy fleece lined inside makes it real nice and cozy. Runs a smidge small but overall is a really great jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a girl wants..... Pick out a 3-1 and my daughter begged me to send it bs k. She wanted Prima. Sent it to her college dorm. She called me with appreciation for the coat. She expressed how it fit and look like a females coat. She's happy and so am I.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome coat I was really nervous with only one review and no input in the internet world about this particular coat. First off, the Indian Ink is actually not that dark, it's a slate grey blue, which is fine, it's still beautiful but don't expect a dark rich navy blue of any sort. Secondly, it's a lightweight jacket that keeps you INSANELY warm. I'm a busty curvy girl (5ft tall petite but 150 lbs, 34DD breasts,) it's really hard for me to get coats that don't make me look like a pigeon or massive at the top. Most sizes are not accurate either, I am a true M and this Medium fits me very comfortably with room for another layer (I was wearing a normal crew sweater.) It has a nice shape, feminine but natural. Thirdly, I personally don't like the quilted padded insulated winter coats, I prefer more rugged traditional materials. I LOVE this material, its not soft, it's sorta rough and smooth. It's similar to real military jacket materials, it's definitely wind and water proof. For something that feels this thin, you would never imagine how warm you feel in New England freezing damp 25-30 degree temps. My only issue with the coat is the sleeves are a tiny bit long but this is the Columbia way! All of their jackets and coats have long arms... which is frustrating. I don't understand why these outdoor clothing companies don't make a Petite section! I'm sure with a size Small the arms would've been more agreeable but then I would only be able to wear a t shirt under the jacket due to my chest... Bummer.
