Rated 5 out of 5 by Lyndsey from Please bring these back!! Best casual cotton pants ever!! I really wish Columbia would bring these back in every color. I have worn out every single pair that I've owned and have searched the internet high and low for any stragglers out there. I did manage to find a pair, but would love to see these come back so I can restock. It is so hard to find cotton pants that are so perfect. I do not find the polyester and nylon comfortable at all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jaime25b from My favorite pants I bought a pair of these about a year ago, and have been wearing them at least 3 days a week since. I love these pants: they fit well, look nice, and are very comfortable. I just purchased 3 more pairs, and am looking forward to wearing them everywhere. I just wish they came in more colors...

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lgill from fits well except pant legs These pants are comfortable and look good on except for the pant legs from the knee down. They are way too baggy. I kept mine but I think most would send them back because they are so large at the bottom.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MNColumbia from Very generous in sizing I own 6 pairs of Columbia pants all in the same size. I ordered these in the same size as the others and they are very large. I would order a size smaller than you usually do in Columbia pants if you choose these. Because these were so large, I ended up returning them and picking out a different type of pant, however, the quality looked very good - a thicker, durable pant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LauraLatte from The Road to Rock pants totally ROCK!!! I had a different pair of Columbia pants and they finally needed replacing after six years. They are no longer available, so I decided to try these pants. I absolutely love them. The fit is nice and they are made from quality material and are made well. They are very comfortable and will work in both hot and cold climes. The only issue I had was the regular (which I usually wear) were way to long. I wound up having them altered and the length is perfect. I would definitely recommend these pants!

Rated 5 out of 5 by JessiYB from Stylish and comfortable These pants look good and are very comfortable. I ran into my usual problem with length. I ordered the regulars and they were way too long. The short length would have been too short.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Meeg from Perfect Field Work Pants I work outside in South Florida on an almost daily basis and needed some pants that were durable enough to handle walking through thick brush/palmetto/thorns and these pants are fantastic! I've already ordered another pair. Besides function, they look great too. They are comfortable cotton with a little bit of stretch to allow for maneuverability. I was concerned about how comfortable these pants would be when they get wet (as that's also an almost daily occurrence) and they are still just fine and dry out fairly quickly. My only complaint is that the rear pocket didn't get sewn correctly so there is a hole in the bottom. But I wear these pants constantly and don't want to waste the time to send them back and will probably just sew it myself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gilareporter from sturdy pants for most occasions I tried these on in one of the stores and loved them, so ordered two more pair on line. I love the colors they come in and I love a pant that is canvas instead of nylon to wear hiking outdoors and this fit the bill. Great pants!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by MegRoJo from Comfortable & Flattering I bought all three colors for work. They fit great around the waste, through the hips, and legs. I am fairly tall (5'9"), so the length is pushing the "feeling to short" length. I will never dry these. Too risky. Other than that, these pants are wonderful. I wish they came in more colors. I would purchase more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LoveColumbia14 from Too Short, Color not what it appears I was excited to receive these pants, I tried them on as soon as I got them out of the package, only to be disappointed! First I was under the impression that the Kettle color was more of a Khaki instead of a Green. In addition, based upon the reviews, which was why I had decided to purchase them, I thought the inseam would be longer so when I would wash them I wouldn't have to worry about them shrinking in length. I ordered a 12 which was perfect in the waist. I am 5' 8", which would have made them too short if I were to wash them:(

Rated 5 out of 5 by DeeDee1212 from My "Go To" Pants! These pants are so functional, I've owned 4 pair for over a year! Two in regular length for my very active, work-shoe-wearing job, & 2 in short length for home. They are holding up beautifully! The loose leg is great for movement & yet the seat/hips fit perfectly! I've found that by letting the pants finish drying hung up, they look almost new still. I'll be ordering more shortly, because I happily need a smaller size! Columbia, please KEEP THESE PANTS COMING,

Rated 5 out of 5 by CatLady007 from Great All-Around Pant Columbia did a great job designing this pant - especially for curvy women. With a smaller waist to hip ratio, I often run into the problem of pants designed with a clown waist, but this pair only has some extra room, which could accommodate a variety of waist sizes. The boot cut of this pant looks good with clunkier shoes like clogs, boots, and dayhiking shoes. The fabric is a nice, medium-weight weave that can take a decent amount of abuse. Great for work and play. Columbia deserves kudos, too, for developing a range of clothing that fits a number of sizes well. It's refreshing to find good, well-made outdoor clothing for larger sizes. Thank you! Would just like to see, maybe, a large wale, soft corduroy pant in the same fit category.

Rated 4 out of 5 by fishchick from good for everyday The fit is somewhat large, especially in an extra small. I wish the leg cut was straight not full. Aside from that there is plenty of room to move. The would accommodate long underwear without restriction which is nice. Good all around casual pant. If they made it a more slender cut I would buy a dozen.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Nata7 from The legs are too baggy. The waist fits true to size but the legs are too baggy. Makes you look like a sack of potatoes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GTJacketGirl from Great casual pant This a great pant for the office (easy to dress up and down) but also very comfortable if you need to move around a lot. It's a fuller boot cut if that makes sense, so it has some tailoring but still roomy that the back doesn't come down when you're working. All the Columbia quality you expect!

Rated 4 out of 5 by NanciOregon from Love the fit; the color: not so much The waistband rides exactly where I want it to be on these pants. The color, on the other hand, not so much. I ordered Kettle. It looked to be a darkish grey on the website. When it arrived, it sure looks khaki to me!! I was not happy...I have khaki pants, but they fit so good I kept them anyway. Fortunately, I found black ones on sale, so bought them as well. Columbia has big issues on color. More on that when I review the fleece AND the top I ordered.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Hokila from Woman's road to rock pant The leg width is way too big. It's shapeless. Poor design. Need to mail back and return. Just worthless with all efforts.

Rated 2 out of 5 by frosted from Don't buy the Black Color I love most of my Columbia Sportswear, but this pant was a disappointment due to the color. It's a LINT ATTRACTOR. I washed the pants to soften them up with other dark colors. White specks appeared everywhere afterwards. I have no idea where they came from. A second washing couldn't get rid of them. Fortunately, I only wanted these to wear at home. The fabric is also stiff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kelly72 from Sturdy outdoor work pants or casual wear I wear these pants when working outdoors and also to the shooting range. They are very functional for both. The look and feel of these pants are also very nice. They are great when you don't want thick heavy Carhartts on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beth14 from Love these pants! Having a curvy figure, it is very difficult to find pants that don't gap in the waist. These pants are fantastic! I wear them to work and at home. They are very comfortable and relaxed through the hip and leg. I will definitely buy more in the future!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Laine from Runs very large I usually wear a 2 in Columbia's pants and shorts, but these seem to run at least a size big and they aren't offered in a 0. If you don't know yourself to have looong legs, get it in the short inseam. I'm pretty bummed about needing to return these, they seem to be of solid construction and a nice rugged material. I need a good pair of pants for out in the woods and these are just too big on me, I'd end up getting stuck out there tangled in briers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mari62 from Great Pants! These pants are a little large on me; however, the shape is perfect and the quality is good. I loved that I could order them in short length. I almost never can fore go hemming pants I buy, but I did not have to hem these! That said, I wore a 14, have been losing weight, and I'm finding other brands of size 12 pants a little large too... So, they seem true to size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fatdog from Fun, Casual I love these pant's. For me it's nice to have a casual pair of pant's instead of jeans. They look gook if you want to dress them up a little or just a sweatshirt. I also like the heavier fabric. Cute style. I sort of wish they had a little higher rise in this same exact style. But , I still love them!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by ricaM from the fit was perfect and I usually have a hard time finding pants that fit since I'm tall and slender They fit perfectly. I do wish they had them in different colors other than grays and black. The only thing I would like better is if the leg wasn't quite so big as my legs are skinny. They'll be great for casual wear and hiking. Very nice looking panst

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Road to Roc Yes, I simply love the pants, they look great, fit great, feel great! My only deal with them is THE POCKETS! Ya, I know, I'm 'suppost' to have a purse for my junk but that simply doesn't work for me. It's got to be on my person because if it's not there's no telling where I will be while my stuff is somewhere else entirely. The pockets are short and when I sit contrary to decent posture, stuff falls out (which is worse than a purse) so you win a few you lose a few. I really don't want to lose any so I ask, "Please Please Please!!!! Enhance the Pockets???" Overall and if you have a purse, these are great pants, they look good, fit good, they are sturdy and durable, almost rugged, still light enough for summer. I needed black and they are black. happy happy happy! I'll make it a point to sit correctly in these!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Breakthread from Good pant for cooler seasons These pants are true to size, though the kettle color is more washed out than in the picture. The fabric is much thicker and stiffer than the Willowdale pant, but the pockets/crotch fit well. The Regular inseam is perfect for average height (5'6") and looks good over shoes without dragging on the ground. This may not be the pant for the trail, except for cooler months (especially in southern California), but I can see getting a lot of everyday use out of them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NaturePhotographer from Please don't discontinue these! I'm a wildlife photographer so need something in neutral colors that is hard-wearing but stylish too. I bought one of each color in my size (2/short) and went to restock and I notice you aren't carrying them anymore. PLEASE continue with these pants as they are about the only good pant like this on the market! I searched all over for Chinos or Cargo pants and can't find anything I like apart from this pant. I'm 5'3" and the Short is still a little too long. The legs are really wide too so I feel a bit frumpy wearing them. Importantly, the two buttons and zip are really LOW quality. I wore one pair a few times and BOTH buttons came off due to very poor cotton. It just disintegrated! This short of pant should have a STRONG stud button like jeans and a much stronger zip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BeccaLC from Road to Rock shows off that boulder. The pants are super comfortable. The waist is a bit small and the legs are a bit long but they work perfectly. I was expecting a looser fit in the booty (they're for use in a conservative Middle Eastern country) which makes them less than ideal for my trip but great for outdoor stuff around home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Missy73 from Casual Work Pants I just started a job that doesn't allow me to wear jeans so i went searching for a nice casual pant. I went looking at a few local retailers and tried on every brand and style they had and nothing fit well. Then i remembered i had a couple pairs of Columbia capris that i just love and thought i would google search to see if Columbia had any long pant styles. I found these and took a chance on the "True To Size" Fit (nothing these days seems to really fit true sizes). The day they arrived i tried them on (both pair because i have had experiences in the past with other brands purchased that not every pair is equally cut) and to my amazement they fit perfectly!! I wear them every day now and love how comfortable they are. I even ordered 2 more pair the next day and am anxiously awaiting their arrival. Please continue to make Womens Road to Rock pant Columbia, i appreciate the "True To Size" fit!! The roomy hips and thighs are very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ch3llb3ll from better than expected Some reviews said these pants ran slightly small, but I found them to be just a tad big. They did shrink a little after washing/drying. I intend on ordering more, but I plan on losing a little more weight, so I want to wait because I may need to order a smaller size. I also appreciate the short length - it's perfect for me @ 5'4".

Rated 5 out of 5 by Karen68 from Women's Road to Rock Pant I needed to purchase pants for an archeology dig so they had to meet certain qualifications: lightweight, leg room, sun screen protected, and pockets. This pant met all of my requirements and best of all, it was a perfect fit. I ordered 3 pairs and going to order another 2 pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KaySea from Comfortable and durable I bought these pants in anticipation of a 5 day island backpacking trip. I didn't want to weigh myself down by packing too many clothes, so I just wanted a couple of high-quality pants that could stand up to several days of wear. These pants did just that. Upon first receiving these pants and feeling the material, I thought there could be no way that these would be comfortable, considering the heavy fabric. After trying them on, I was happy to say that my initial impression was dead wrong. Hiking in them, even after several days, was still very comfortable. While the material does feel rather heavy to the touch, they don't feel heavy to wear or hot either, just heavy enough for me to feel secure that they would stand up to whatever I would subject them to. They were perfect for spring hiking in the California Channel Islands. My only complaints are, as mentioned by another reviewer, the shallow front pockets as well as Columbia's sizing. The waist sizing, I would say, is true to size, but I am 5'1" and ordered the "short" inseam and still found them slightly too long. It's not a huge problem, I just roll up the cuffs a bit, but just slightly irksome. All in all a great pair of pants and I look forward to many more adventures in them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CaseyJ from Great Pants for Casual Work Environments Two things attracted me to these pants. One, I needed comfortable pants to wear with flats at work. Two, I wanted something a little more durable than khakis since I work in a laboratory. These pants fit the bill. I normally wear a size 8 pant but ordered a size 10 just because I wasn't sure how the fit would be. Other reviewers are correct... the leg is wide but after a cycle through the dryer they shrunk up enough to fit better all over. I am probably in between sizes with this style. One thing worth pointing out is that these pants are more like carpenter style pants with the fit. There is no definition around my butt at all but that is fine considering I'm just wearing them at work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DotP from Some things I'd like to see.... The pants legs are a little wide and the pockets are not very deep; not deep enough for a cell phone, nor is there an additional pocket. There is a 2 1/2 inch difference between short and medium. For me, short is too short and medium is too long, so I have to tailor. I like the stretch in the material, and the heavy durability of the material. There is another Columbia pant I really liked that had a small pocket with a botton flap below the right front pocket that is perfect for a cell phone. The pants legs were narrower. It seems that it is no longer made. The only thing I did not like about that pant is that it was not stretch material.

Rated 3 out of 5 by StenoK8 from Baggy The pants are just as comfortable as noted by other reviewers. I usually wear an 8 but fit in the 10 better. Even though I purchased the short length, I felt that they were closer to average length. The bottom is super baggy, almost giving a bell-bottom effect, which makes me look larger than I am. Glad I got them on sale, otherwise I would be returned.
