Quick-Dry Shorts
I like to kayak, and these shorts dry quickly, which is important to me after getting off the water. They have convenient pockets and an easy to use belt, which also dries quickly. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was the white stitching on the blue material. They weren't pictured that way on the online photo. It is a minor detail; otherwise I like them very much.

Love theses quick dry shorts! The 6” inseam is perfect for a plus size woman with short legs. A size 3X fits like a size 24 on me. The light weight belt is functional & perfect for hiking. The side zipper pocket allows you to secure your ID, cash & credit cards. The main left & right pockets are good for temporary holding an item while inactive but a phone or wallet will fall out when you sit down. After 2 years of washing & drying theses shorts they have not faded or shrunk!!!

Good product, ok fit
I love the material and quality of these shorts, and they are the closest shorts I could find to fitting. I have a small waist and big hips and they ride up a little in the back. Overall, I like them, but I'm always looking for shorts made for more curvy girls!
FYI, I'm 5'5", 130 lbs, usually wear a size 27 pant and I bought a size small. With the elastic waist, I'm sure a medium would fit too however be a bit baggy in the legs.

These have a 6" inseam and given the light fabric, rode up between my legs when I walked. If you have skinny legs which don't rub together, these would be great shorts. The waiste cinches in, which is also nice. They just didn't work for me (now I know why they were on sale!).

Columbia Shorts
I love the Columbia shorts (or capris) as they keep you very comfortable while exercising via the wicking material. I generally buy up a size from normal jean sizing with Columbia as they fit just a little smaller. With the stretch waistband you could go either way and still be comfortable. My only critique is lack of rear pockets. The cargo pocket is fine for ID or a key but if you carry a phone you need to keep it sideways in a front pocket.

stretchy-wide waist with smaller leg holes
I bought these shorts in every color since they're light weight and cool. I compared sizes 1x to 2x since my waist-line is big but settled on size 1x because the waist is supper stretchy and my legs aren't very broad. I removed the belt since the elastic takes care of keeping the shorts up. The fabric is perfect to resist staining and I plan on wearing them to our local Phillies ball park since these are cool and comfy.

These shorts fit my 16W lower half very comfortably and casually. The color will go with everything. These are well designed to avoid degrading the fuller-figure, looser-skinned, older woman. Boomer women can confidently go out to play!
Specifically: great inseam length and cut; light weight as seersucker; belted waist emphasizes feminen silhouette; loops do not detract without belt.
The downgrade to "Good" for quality will upgrade to "Excellent" after the first wash. They are a little itchy right out of the box.

I love these shorts. They are a good length and very light weight. They are good at the moisture wicking and even though I sweat a lot, I don't look like I am. The only thing I didn't like was the size of the pocket you can zip. I wish it was bigger or there was a second pocket. I can only fit my car key in there and I would like to have a place to keep my cell phone secure as well. I ordered some a bigger size before and once I lost some weight, I liked them enough to order new in my new size.

I love the fit and fabric of this short. Comfortable and light for hot weather and in the water.
The only knock I have on the Sandy River Cargo short is that the cargo pockets are too small to be fully functional. Columbia - gals need pockets to put stuff in too! When fishing or with other action sports, our pockets need to be deeper and functional - I turned to the cargo short because of the horribly short front pockets in the Sandy River short. The front pockets in the Sandy River Cargo shorts are functionally deep enough that I don't worry about losing my keys! Now if the cargo pockets were a bit larger, they would be perfect. I have 3 pairs and plan on getting 2 more! Overall, the Sandy River Cargo short is a good, solid short that is very comfortable for summer and water sports.

Size 16, XL - bought the XXL
Normally, I wear a size 16, XL but I bought the XXL in this size since my measurements were on the edge for an XL (39" waist and 48" hips). I hated having to buy an XXL, but I do enjoy how it fits - roomy. I have an extra inch of room in the waist without the elastic expanding. I still have a butt in the back. The shorts are slightly flared out at the bottom. They end about an 1 inch above my knee. I am able to walk without the short bunching up between my legs as often.
The shorts washed well, They have a nylon parachute material feel to them. I assume it will help them dry faster.
