Women’s Saturday Trail™ II Convertible Pant - Plus Size is rated out of 5 by 20.
Rated 3 out of 5 by justabean from Pants are great, shorts are great, convertable zippers a pain I really love the fit of the pants and shorts. The pockets and belt loops are great, and everything is very comfortable and sturdy. Except the zipper drags and digs into my legs. I wish I could get these exact pants as just pants. Rated 3 out of 5 by CassJ from Zippers too tight on the legs The quality of these pants is great, but when sitting, the zippers constrict my legs, making wearing the pants very uncomfortable. I can really only wear these on hikes when I know I won't be sitting down, not on canoe trips which is why I bought them. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by RKB16 from Staple in my closet! I cannot go on an expedition without these! I bought my first pair years ago and LOVE them! They wear well and are very comfortable. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 3 out of 5 by Duffs from I *almost* like these I really wanted to love these pants. I had to order them 2 sizes up from my usual pants size, but find I'm usually ordering up one size in Columbia pants anyway, so NBD. They have snaps, so definitely didn't want them tight (I'm 5'6, 235 lb, total apple shape -- snaps aren't my friend). I can live with all of this, because they are a great lightweight fabric, a good rise and length, and the color is versatile (I ordered Gravel, which is a greenish grey). My big issue is with the leg zippers, the ones on the mid-thigh where they turn into shorts -- umm, I think they used the same zippers in the size 2 that they did in my size 20! When I step up on something tall (so, like, a rock ledge hiking, or, say, a kitchen stepstool), I feel like I'm going to burst the zippers at the seams. Forget squatting to pick up something you've dropped or to tie a shoe. Even the car ride was very uncomfortable -- it squeezes so tight around your mid thigh that it feels like when you have a brand new hair elastic around your wrist before it stretches out to that perfect wrist length, know what I mean? Ouch! It's such a bummer, because otherwise these would be pretty great pants, and it's not like there are a ton of outdoor pants for heavy women like myself who like hiking and just being comfortable in warm weather. I kept them, because options are limited (and they were on sale -- full price I would have sadly returned them), but the second time I wore them, I unzipped the legs and wore them as shorts until I arrived at the trail. Bummer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jhink from Love Love Love I wore these pants all over Colorado. They are cool, soft and the ability to go from pants to shorts in seconds is awesome. I am going to buy another pair I love them so much. On my last day of my trip I had to wear different pants because these were dirty and I wished all day that I were wearing these. Buy them you won't be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by sumiimus from I'm happy I was a little hesitant to try these pants on because I had read that the zipper location on the legs have very little give and causes the fit to be off. I was pleasantly surprised with the fit and the quality. This was a good purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by pdavis from Wonderful Pants/shorts! I bought these pants as a cover-up over my bathing suit but ended up wearing them (as shorts) as board-shorts bathing suit when we went scallop diving. I love these so much, I am buying another pair. I bought them larger than I wear to fit over my suit, so now I will buy my true size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Schrodobaggins from Good Pants I bought these because Columbia makes larger sizes for women, hooray! Lightweight, comfy, seem to be durable so far. Little bit of stretch, which is always handy for scrambling. The drawstrings at the bottom are great for keeping my cuffs up out of the way. I originally bought a size 16 (my usual) but they fit really tight, bought these in 18 and they're pretty loose on me. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by Danber from Zippers cut circulation in legs Love these pants so much the material and stitching are great however I would not buy these again as many reviewers mentioned the zippers cut circulation in legs while sitting down or squating. Columbia please let me know when you fix this issue and I will buy another pair. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by MJGood from Should have read the reviews. The zipper at the knee is ridiculously narrower than the rest of the pant. Funny that I tried on a man's pair and the fir fine, but the ladies-- hopefully you don't have to sit for any length of time outherwise you will possibly have bruises. Gave quality and function 5's for I love the material and when you are hiking they are great pants, you just can't stop and sit. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 3 out of 5 by Slipstream from Hiking pant I'm Apple shaped and the size I normally wear to fit my waist is very very snug. The length and fit elsewhere is great. Order bigger for sure. It's better to breathe comfortably than to have an amazing fit thru the butt and legs. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Skyecat91A from Comfortable and light I do a lot of hiking and these pants are very comfortable and light weight. They feel very comfortable and easy to climb in. The zippered pocket on the leg is good to hold keys. The pockets are not deep to hold much.

Rated 2 out of 5 by jm12 from Great fit - until you sit down the zippers for these convertible pants are very inflexible and although the pants fit well in the waist and hips, as soon as I squatted or sat down, the zippers dug into my thighs. After one day of hiking and taking photographs I have bruised thighs and the pants will go in the 'never again' pile :(

Rated 4 out of 5 by Brats from What I was looking Lightweight, breathable, good travel pants. The zipper around the leg from the shorts fits a little tight so that when you're sitting its actually a little uncomfortable. I think an extra inch in length of the shorts might of helped with that. I find they come out of the dryer or suitcase quite wrinkled but seem to straighten out after a bit. I'm usually a 31" inseam so I was going to buy regular, thankfully they only had long in my size because with my hiking shoes on long is perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PokeAbout from Great Pants Pants are lightweight and breathable. They fit true to size with enough room to move (no waist bands digging in when you sit). High quality dual-snap and zipper at waistband. The snaps do not pop open when you sit. Zippers are a lower quality than I would have liked to see, but perhaps they will last. Time will tell. Bungees at bottom of pant legs allow me to cinch the ankle tight to keep the bottoms from dragging on the ground (aka...do not need to have these pants hemmed). Overall, I love these pants. I am going to buy more when they have the right size in the Cypress colour.
