Rated 5 out of 5 by Rb160578 from These are not waterproof, my mistake! But they’re great as what they’re intended to be. I actually use these as yoga pants, or over the top of cycling chamois shorts. Baggy fit around the legs. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by sueboo from Quality vs size Quality is great. I wear a 10-12 size and purchased the large. Very tight in crotch. It’ll be okay but not as comfortable as I expected.

Rated 3 out of 5 by berry11 from Fit Really Weird I'm a 5'10" 150lb athletic build. On the chart I was a large. I got that and it literally fell to the floor. The waist was so big it wouldn't even stay on my hips - and believe me I have enough booty to catch onto. Returned for a medium. The thighs are a big snug so they fit better at the end of the day when they relax. The waist is still way too big, but at least there is a drawstring to save you. The pants are super comfy and I love the idea of them. I like to wear them, but need a long shirt to cover the bunchy waist where I have to cinch it way up to stay on. Love to travel in them. I just wish the thigh/waist ratio was realistic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SunnyGirl from Dont be afraid to size up I am 5'4 and 130 lbs. so I usually wear a 4. I ordered this in a small and I couldnt get them over my calf! To be fair, my legs are a little big for my frame. I sized up to a M and they are bigger in the waist and hips than I would like, but there is a hidden tie drawstring in the waist so it isnt really a problem. Good quality product and a steal on sale! Excited to wear these next summer. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by erriegriff from My new FAVORITE pants for hiking!! I love these pants! I am 5’9” and about 135 pounds. I purchased a medium in these pants; as soon as the other colors are marked down, I will purchase more colors. The material is thin and perfect for warm weather hiking. I do think the price is a little high @ the regular $55. For size reference, I fluctuate between an 8 and 10. They are comfortable with a drawstring to tighten or loosen. Way to go Columbia!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by LKey from My Go To Pants The weight of material is perfect for hiking in warmer weather into cooler snow covered trails. The lower leg is a little tight on my calves but loosened up after a bit of hiking. The drawstring worked well as the elastic waist stretched out after a few miles of climbing. I wear size 6-8 in jeans and purchased a size medium. Overall these are my go to pants for hiking trips. I have three pair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hiker26 from Great Fit I used these pants to hike on the smokey mountains during Labor Day weekend and love them! the pant are comfortable, durable and fit very well. I will be buying a second pair in another color. I highly recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bellawella from Great pants I ordered these in a small, because I am usually a size 6 (28x28), however the calves were too snug (I have pretty big calves). I returned them and got a medium though, which fit comfortably. Something to keep in mind is that these pants DO NOT STRETCH, they have a stretchy waistband, but other than that the material is thin, comfortable, and flowy as long as you get the correct size. They are great for being outside on hot days, as they shade your legs, but don’t trap any of the heat! I also like that you can tuck the ends into your socks easily if you are hiking in tall grass. I will probably buy more in different colors. I got mine in the color tusk, and I was concerned they would be see through, but they are completely opaque! Overall, great pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sar22 from Perfect pant! I am on my feet all day everyday and I am always on the look out for casual, comfortable, functional pants! I bought one pair and since I enjoyed them so much, I got another pair for myself and my mom too. They are comfortable for casual daily wear, or hiking and outdoor wear as well. I usually wear a size 6-8 pant and ordered a medium. They have a string to tighten the waist which I need to use, but they are just right in the thigh/butt area!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Coco79 from Great for hiking! Great sun protection while enjoying hiking outdoors. These pants are lightweight and cool, and dry quickly when caught in the rain. My favorite feature is the "jogger" cuff which prevents many things from going up my pant leg. I even lounge at home in the pants because they are so comfortable. xoxo

Rated 3 out of 5 by KN2020 from Girls with Muscle I love the idea of these pants and the versatility of them but unfortunately if you have quads these may not be the pants for you. The size I ordered was a M and they fit in the waist and the length is great but they are snug in the butt and thighs. A Large would look like I was wearing parachute pants and only MC Hammer can pull those off. Overall, if you have small legs then go for the purchase but if you have more muscle in your legs I would look else where.

Rated 4 out of 5 by NooneSpecial from Nice for lounging Like the fabric - washes well and is lightweight, great for warmer weather, and doesn't make noise. Would have liked some elastic in waist. Based on reviews elsewhere I ordered XL (I wear 12-14 pants and usually get L). These are huge in waist, so I probably should have gotten large, but too lazy to return.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Carissa from Cute but sizing is awful I bought a medium and a small both are terrible fits. The fabric is comfortable and breathable but does not have any give. I'm 5'3, 130 lbs athletic build. My waist is 32 (below belly button) where the top of the pants fit. My upper thigh is 22 in and right above the knee is 19 in and my hips are 37 in. The medium was WAY too big in the waist (even with the drawstring) but fit everywhere else. The small (my usual size) fit the waist but was TOO TIGHT on the upper legs, I couldn't even walk up the stairs because of the tightness and little flex in the fabric. I'm so sad because they look awesome :(

Rated 2 out of 5 by treegirl776 from Cute, but not functional I got these pants for a summer of working at 10,000 feet in a national forest. I've only worn them into the field once, and I don't think I will again. The material is not stretchy at all, which makes movement very difficult. I wore these on a day where I had to do a lot of hiking and climbing over rocks and trees and such. The lack of stretch made this very difficult and uncomfortable. I have a bigger butt, and it was tight there, but the loose waistband made the fit a little strange. I really had to use the tie on the inside of the pants, but I was still pulling them up constantly. Without the stretch, the pants bunched up around my knees so I had to keep pulling them back down over my ankles. I also had to pull them back up every time I bent over. The legs were a little short on me, almost like capris. I do have long legs though. If you're wearing these in the field, make sure you have long socks to compensate. The material is very light, so they'd be good for packing in on an overnight trip. I was disappointed to find that they weren't very breathable, though. I wore them on a 75 degree day (which I would not recommend). These pants are cute, but not very functional. They'd be good for a light hike or days you need to transition from outside to an indoor environment, but when it comes to intense hikes or field work, they're not the best. Mine are in Cypress, and the color is very nice! They feel pretty durable so far. Just the lack of stretch ruins it for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by BLong85 from Too small! Love the pants -- too bad they don't fit comfortably. Tighter in waist than I expected. And extremely tight in calves. Can't wear them. Must ship back. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mpkoulen from Silver Ridge Pull on Pant These pull up pants are so comfortable. I can wear them as a casual look or with a button up blouse to have a more dressy look. I originally bought one pair and liked them so much that I ordered 3 more pairs in different colors. Great pair of pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lovelife from The perfect pant I love these pants. There are so comfortable and stylish. I spend a lot of time outdoors, these pants cover me from the sun and keep me cool. There are light and very flexible. Add and nice shirt and the pants look great too. I can go from the outdoor to inside the classroom and feel dressed for success! Rated 4 out of 5 by Mary7yi from Baggy Bottoms and String The bottom half of the pants are quite roomy and not tapered and the draw string/stretchiness that holds them up are kinda big.

Rated 3 out of 5 by AliPendleton from Great pants - one major design flaw I purchased these pants specifically for backpacking trips, and while they are very cute and comfy, there is one MAJOR design flaw. The pants have a string tie in the front, making carrying a pack with a hip-belt super uncomfortable. I actually had areas on my hips where you could see the indent of the drawstring. If you loosen the string, however, the pants don't stay in place. I am 5'7 and 125 lbs with some junk in the trunk, and I've never had pants that literally fell off my body. Its super weird having to adjust them with a fully loaded pack on as well. These pants are probably good for day hikes, but I'll never taken them on a packing trip again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LittleMissAdventure from Wanted to Love These I like the pockets and the fact that these pants have elastic at the ankles (helps keep bugs and things out). I would normally be a size xs but the pants were tight around the calves so I had to buy a size small. I don't have big calves, so depending on your preferences you may need to buy a size up. The draw string is the only reason this worked for me, as they were quite baggy up top. They did not meet my expectations for a "trail" pant. After a single two day hike they already are worn looking. The fabric has puckered funny and appears to be starting to pill. Also, if you are using these for backpacking the round draw string is painful under a hip belt. I suggest switching it out to a flat ribbon style draw string. For how these pants performed I would not recommend them at the price they are. The quality just isn't there. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 1 out of 5 by RebeccaR from Hiking Pants I do a lot of recreational hiking in the Rocky Mountains. I wanted to buy a pair of light weight hiking pants. I tried these pants on and they did not fit at all. They were tight on my thighs and the pants did not fit correctly around my waist. I am 5ft and 115 lbs. and got a size small. I wear a lot of Columbia clothing and was very disappointed in this product. I would not recommend these pants to anyone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by DVA821 from I loved the look, yet not practical for hiking! I have a pair of Saturday Trail Pants and they are amazing! When I saw these online, I loved the tapered leg look. I had to reorder the next size up because the XS did not leave any room for my normal size calf. It wasn't until I tried to hike in them that I was really disappointed. It's already difficult hiking uphill, but when you pair of pants limits your mobility and keeps you from lifting your leg - absolute fail! I should have noticed that they are 100% nylon and no stretch. All products marked "active" should have some stretch in them to help you move outdoors. I wish the other pair that was $10 more was available when I purchased these. Super bummed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by tjnks from good pants for hiking really love these pants, comfy and roomy for someone with curves. they seem to run just a bit small but pretty much true to size. Great for hiking as the material is thin and moves well. the cut is fitted enough for hiking but still a relaxed fit.
