Rated 4 out of 5 by ACSoltes from Black Turbo down I ordered this online so I was making a size guess. I did end up with a Columbia coat in 3X, but not this coat. It was to big and (no fault of its own) really not my colour. It was very well made. But just not right for me. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Boute58 from Feel like you’re wearing nothing at all... So light and thin ...it’s the first coat that I bought (I’m 60 years young) that I feel so great in it . Unbelievable my daughter, my daughter in law have bought each one also after trying mine . Thanks Columbia (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by MNRed from WOMEN’S VOODOO FALLS 590 TURBODOWN™ MID JACKET - PLUS SIZE Love this jacket!! Lightweight yet warm!! Great for cold MN winter weather. On extra cold days, layering works for extra warmth & no need for heavy coats. Down does shed some but what down jacket doesn't shed??! Upper inside pocket is perfect for carrying cell phone! Love the zippered pockets for my gloves! Hood is extra benefit for cold days. I have added a warm scarf around the hood for extra warmth when needed. Very happy with my "on sale" purchase!! Highly recommend this jacket. I have the lighter weight Columbia jacket (step down from this one) & love that one as well for temps 20's and above. Size wise, Columbia always runs small for me so I size up one size. Best plus size longer coat I have found!!! (Almost to my knees & I am 5'4".)

Rated 5 out of 5 by CourtneyF from Lightweight, but oh so great :) I had been searching and searching online and in-store for a new- warm, stylish but functional winter jacket. Something that was going to keep me warm but also not something too bulky. When I had seen this was available online, I immediately put it in my shopping cart, read the reviews, checked out the sizing chart and purchased it without hesitation. Living in Alberta, Canada our winters can be horrendously cold and this jacket has not disappointed. Keeps me warm without the bulk and I would 100% recommend. So glad I found this jacket :) (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Momwholoves2shop from My Favorite Coat Ever! This coat is awesome!!!! Its lightweight and easy to carry if you get too warm! Which makes it great for shopping, wearing to the office, and tailgating! It also fits just right! It isn’t too tight around the top section or the mid section as often happens with coats!

Rated 1 out of 5 by TheBlueberry from Not a winter coat We received the 590 in the mail. Never been so disappointed. Its very thin and lightweight and will not work for Ohio weather. It has no puff, no down and no fill. Might be ok for weather in the 50's but not anything lower and definitely not worth the $200.00 price tag we paid for it, maybe $69.00 dollars at most. Columbia needs to post rated temps the coat was designed for. Pending return.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Patricia33 from Favorite Winter Coat I love my Voodoo Falls coat. The length is perfect for keeping your hind quarters cozy, the hood is the perfect insulation for the grey matter up top and the weight makes it the easiest coat to take on, off and pack away for those mixed weather trips. I Love this coat

Rated 5 out of 5 by ecubed from LOVE this jacket! This jacket is AMAZING! Not only am I super grateful that Columbia makes jackets for plus size women, but the jacket is sleek, super warm and cute! Most clothing manufacturers scale up their straight size jackets in odd ways when making a plus size jacket--it leaves you feeling like you're swimming in fabric. But this one fits really well and I just love it! I only wish that it were a tiiiiiny but roomier in the hips. Lastly, it's super warm. Even in the chilly winters of DC, it keeps me nice and cozy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WarminWI from Love This Jacket I was surprised how light the box was with this and another jacket in it. After wearing it in WI winter for a few weeks, I couldn't be happier! I love that it is lightweight without the bulk. I would recommend this jacket:)

Rated 1 out of 5 by SuzyQZ from Not Ultra-Warm as advertized This jacket may be considered Ultra-Warm as described in California or Arizona on a “cold” 50 degree night. But it did not stand up to a 27 degree windy day in Minnesota. Since 27 degrees is considered mildly cold in a Minnesota winter, I knew this jacket would not hold up to the sub zero temperatures we expect in January and February. I wound up returning this jacket and purchasing the Columbia Lay D Down Mid jacket that is wind proof and waterproof for only a few dollars more that will stand up to a Minnesota winter. I think the warmth ratings are a bit deceptive. I wish Columbia would give temperature ratings on their products so people don’t waste time purchasing a jacket that isn’t warm enough for their climate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by IMNurse from Excellent product Very light weight mid length coat. Wind proof. I wear a light fleece jacket or sweater underneath. I put the coat on 2 minutes prior to leaving to trap body warmth and I am good to go for the Midwest winters! Only recommendation would be some sort of fleece around the collar for extra warmth. Highly recommend product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by PtboFan from OMG AH-Mazing This is the most incredible coat that I've ever worn. It's so lightweight, it's like wearing a little sweater - if you're inside. I walk the Trans-Canada Trail a fair bit, and this coat keeps me so toasty when I'm walking. The inside is lined with what looks like shiny foil - but I guess it must reflect body heat back to you because it is WARM. You do need to work up some body heat to get it "heated" so I don't pull this out of the closet if I'm just running from car to building. It works fantastic though, if you want to actually enjoy the winter, and not just tolerate it. I ordered a size up so I could wear a big sweater under it - but I'm not sure I'll be wearing a big sweater under it - I'd sweat like crazy! Enjoy!!! Rated 4 out of 5 by MKJ17 from Great light weight winter coat I received this coat as an early Christmas present and I love it! It runs true to size (which as a Columbia Plus Size jacket, that means a bit small in the arms and chest for me.) I have only had the chance to wear it in temps around 25F-30F, but it has kept me warm without the all of the bulk of a heavy winter coat. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the silky outer layer seems prone to snagging, and I'm a bit worried about how it will hold up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ohkicat from Nice winter coat We’ve had an unseasonably warm winter so far, so I haven’t had a chance to wear this coat yet but the fit and style is perfect for me. I wear a 2x (size 40F chest requires a 2x for me), and there is room to layer a sweater or sweatshirt underneath. I’ve only tried this coat on and I got very warm inside so I think it will work for my needs. I can’t wait for cold weather to try it out. I also like that the hood is not trimmed with faux fur. I returned a different coat because I didn’t like the faux fur around the hood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Adrienne from Loved this coat Because I wear a larger size, I was happy to find this coat was available and fit me well. I did think that it was a little too puffy for my frame and height overall because I am under 5'3" loved the omni heat lining! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Yummybacon from My favorite winter coat This coat is so light and warm. I bought it in black last year and wore it almost every day in the winter. Got it in gravel this year and it’s already a favorite. Lightweight and warm, this is the perfect coat for winter. I love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ashley from Voodoo winter jacket This coat is very light and easy to move around in. I’m not sure it’s meant for the -40 weather we get in Ottawa though as I still felt a bit cold with the wind. Other than that the coat is very good! Rated 3 out of 5 by KayW from Surprised When I first started wearing this coat, I thought it was too big! It does run bigger. I put a hoodie under it, took the jacket off and had feathers everywhere!!! I'm still plucking out feathers , why is that??? And I thought the OmniHeat was supposed to help with winter. It's a very lightweight jacket for a ridiculous price!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kerry from Love this coat! I originally ordered the XL but I found it small, especially the arm holes. Being 5’5” and around 173 I thought it would fit. The 1X is perfect. The hood is a great shape, and the large front pockets awesome. The quality is excellent, it is light as can be, yet cosy and warm. Perfect for our West coast damp and chilly weather. Excited to know I pack this easily for any trip. I highly recommend this product. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by lainievan from Warmth that keeps up with my day! Living in a particularly cold city- this coat is exactly what I was looking for. It moves with me from a cold car into a bustling mall, and back out again and I feel comfortable in both places. Somehow it offers a variable warmth that works for me. I intend to use it as my walking jacket in our extreme cold as I can tell that this coat will allow me warmth without overheating. I love the longer length (I am 5’4), and although it is a bit too roomy in the bust for me, that is normal for my body shape as I tend to be bigger through my shoulders and hips. The zippers all work smoothly and the inside pocket is perfect for my phone. I’m tempted to buy a second coat just so I have a replacement for the future. I definitely recommend it! Rated 5 out of 5 by tallgal17 from Great Light weight coat Very warm for such a light weight coat. I would wear this coat on days that are around 20 degrees with a sweater. Columbia jackets are my favorite over all the other brands. I really like the omni reflective lining. It makes coats so much warmer without the added bulk. It would be easy to pack this coat in a suitcase. This coat is longer than I expected, but still happy with it. The fit is very good through the shoulder, sleeves, bust and hip. Columbia also got the hood just right. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by pinky from Nice jacket I was deciding between this jacket and the short version of this. Both are very nice, but I ended up going with the shorter one because it felt more comfortable. I'd say this one fits smaller around the waist than the short version. This jacket is unbelievably warm. I don't have any worries about how this will handle winter in Toronto. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by PaulaPA from Good Quality Light Weight Down Coat I really enjoy this coat for I've ended up using it for, rather than what is is advertised as. I bought this coat 3 months ago thinking it would be the ultimate warm down winter coat, that would be my go-to when temperatures hit freezing and when the snow finally came down. I quickly realized after spending some time wearing this coat around town, that although stylish and simple, needs to be layered under in order to provide extra warmth. I love the length (It hits right above the knee for me at 5'5) and I love the simplicity in certain details, the inside pocket for my phone and my wallet, the hood, and the being able to cinch the ends when it gets windy, but this coat is just not as warm as advertised. The omni-heat is a nice touch, it looks cool (and sounds cool) but I am still cold if I expect that and the light down to keep me warm without an extra layer underneath. It's a great jacket for running around on chilly fall/winter days, especially in the rain, but if you expect it to hold up to freezing, or minus freezing, weather without layering up, you'll be disappointed. I would recommend this jacket as a good every day coat that will keep you warm in mild winter weather. Overall, quality is good, design is good, style good, fit is great, I just would prefer more down and a heavier weight for the price I originally paid ($200).

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jessie28 from Light but would not recommend for winters. I am from Chicago and was hoping that this would be the jacket to help come December-February. Although I am very loyal to the Columbia brand especially since they have very great quality for what you pay for I was not impressed by it. Pros would be that it's fitted and very light weight which makes it great for travel. Also pockets! Cons are that it simple doesn't keep in heat. I have to wear a jacket shell to keep warm. It's great for possibly 45 degree weather, but since we can get negative temps I wouldn't suggest this if you needed something to last you through the winter especially if you live in the Midwest.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bunstar from Good Value for Light Weight Mid Thigh Jacket I normally take a 1X to 2X however the sleeves in this jacket run somewhat snug. I ordered a 2X and returned it for a 3X. The sleeves are a bit long but fit much better than the 2X. I will now be able to layer clothing whereas I could not with the 2X. I wish the jacket was raglan cut.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Tee32 from Does not hold up to standards I live in Chicago and I brought this coat for the cold winters. Unfortunately the jacket did not hold up to standards. The jacket is extremely thin and does not keep you warm. There is not much down. The jacket is so thin that when you pinch it to see how thick it is you can feel your finger at the other size and hardly any down. The feathers constantly come out of the jacket. I am extremely displeased with the jacket. The Omni heat does not keep you warm. I had to wear a fleece and a thermal underneath the jacket and I still was not warm. The fit is good. However the jacket is not that long I am about 5'7 it only cover my bottom and that's it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Justles from It's functional The coat I purchased would be functional, however, at the cost I would have preferred the cuffs be more 'finished' like what the mighty lite coat. I'm disappointed in it enough that I haven't taken the tags off and will most likely return it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CaroD7 from Perfect coat for winter activities. First off the hop.......Thank you Columbia! It is difficult to find decent quality Plus Size active clothing, especially outer wear. We do many outdoor winter activities, skiing, sledding, skating, hiking, which are not enjoyable without the proper clothing. For 3 years, I have worn your Mighty Lite coat. I have worn it practically every winter day (I have broken the zipper and it has been poked with branches too many times). I loved it, and I have worn it out. The only challenge was standing still in the cold (-20 to -30 Celsius). I started to feel the cold then. The omni heat is great when you are moving. Still works when you are standing still but not as effective. I just received the Voodoo Falls jacket today! It fits a little loose, that is great for layering. I am hoping that the combo of down and Omni Heat will eliminate the chills when I am standing outside watching my son take his ski lessons this winter. I live in Canada. The Voodoo Falls jacket in Plus Size (or any size?) is not offered on your Canadian Shopping web site. I had to get a friend to buy it for me. Can you please keep selling plus size and please offer ALL your great products to Canadians as well? Keep up the good work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by YooperChick from In LOVE When I ordered this jacket I promised myself I would write a review because there weren't any! I was nervous because of this but am SO glad I went ahead and ordered it! This jacket fits very true to size! That being said, I probably could not fit a super bulky hoodie underneath because it fits to perfect. So, you may want to order up if you tend to layer. This goes down mid thigh to me (I'm 5' 6) and is super flattering! It is lighter black than the picture but its still black. I love love love this jacket! It is super lightweight and warm!
