Women’s Whirlibird™ Interchange Jacket is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite jacket!! Not only is it lightweight and lets you move, it is cute. I love that you can remove the lining, and I have even used the lining as lightweight protection without the jacket. You actually get three garments for the price of one with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm & waterproof I needed a warm waterproof coat for a trip to Iceland in March. It's hard to find winter coats that are water proof instead of just water resistant. But Iceland is really wet, so I'm glad I got a good warm water proof coat, and this one did the trick! In snow, rain, waterfall mist, and everything in between, this coat kept me dry and warm in Iceland. I am now hooked on the omniheat lining. It's amazing! It keeps you so warm without overheating. The inner coat on its own is sufficient most winter days for warmth (and I live in Colorado!), but both coats together work even better. I love everything about this coat. I am 5'5" and 150 pounds and I usually wear a medium. I tried both the medium and the large and the medium provided no room for layering underneath. I got the large so I could wear sweaters and layers beneath and I'm glad I did. With proper cold weather layers, the large size fits great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Comfortable jacket This jacket is fantastic. I bought and returned 3 different ski jackets before landing on the Columbia Whirlibird due to high standards, and this jacket is a keeper. Lets start size: I'd say it runs a little small compared to other clothing brands. I am 130lbs and 5'9. I normally wear a small or a size four but in Columbia I am a medium. This jacket runs consistent with other Columbia jackets so if you know what size you wear in Columbia stick with it. The sleeves are long but it is a good thing! No one wants their wrists exposed when you lift your arms. Quality: The jacket is the best quality out there. Everything is comfortable. The zipper isn't junk like most jackets. The fabric you can put your thumb in at the sleeves is very soft and silky, thumb hole is optional of course. great quality overall. My only complaint is that with the interchange the interior goggle pocket and one other pocket are hard to get to because the interchange is zipped into the shell. But, love this jacket. Also if anyone from Columbia is reading this it would be nice to see this jacket in more solid prints. Most reviews i read about this jacket prior to purchase were about the prints/colors. I got the Geowhite which is more subtle than the plaid but still a little manly. Overall great jacket though

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kristin P. I loooooove this jacket! i have owned Columbia jackets in the past and this is by far the best yet. It is super warm and comfortable and yet very light to carry around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another excellent product from Columbia My last winter jacket was a Columbia that I bought over 15 years ago, so when it got dropped in primer and ruined I turned to Columbia again and found this really cute jacket online. I went to a store and tried it on and I loved it. It's super warm, even if I only wear a t-shirt under it and I'm in the Northeast! I have quite a tall torso so finding jackets that are long enough for me and have sleeves that are a good length can be hard but this jacket is a perfect fit in both of those areas. Love the thumb holes in the jacket lining and the zip-out liner will be really nice in the spring and fall. I really like the plaid print of the fabric as well, all of the colors are really nice, bought I bought the green one and really love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Women’s Whirlibird™ Interchange Jacket I recently purchased this jacket and love it! We had temperatures below zero and it kept me warm. The jacket does run a little small. I typically would wear an XS and purchased a small which fits me perfect.
Date published: 2014-01-15
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fit too small I was excited about this jacket but when trying it on, it was too tight under the arms and a bit snug on the bottom. If I went a size up, then it would be too long in the arms and a bit bulky. I tend to like the drop shoulder more as that fits me better. Can Columbia please make an omni heat jacket like this one but with a drop shoulder and a little longer in the length? That would be great! There weren't many drop shoulder jackets to choose from this year in my opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome jacket I purchased this jacket for my move to Alaska and I have to say it was worth every penny. I don't even need extra layers to stay warm the crazy weather here. Its comfortable, warms up very quickly with the omni-heat feature, and keeps me dry no matter whats going on. It does run small. I'm usually a Large and bought the XL to have room for chunky layers. Considering I don't use the layers, its pretty formfitting. It's also very easy to disassemble the jacket just to wear the shell or inside which I've done several times with no trouble. I love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Perfect Fit As very petite person it's hard for me to look for jacket that fits me well and also for an ideal style . I found not only a great fit for sports like down hill ski but also could use it on a daily basis 'cause it really keeps me warm. It also comes in layers and both layers are quite stylish. I also commend Columbia Sports Wear, I return it day after Christmas and it was delivered to me the very next day. I just couldn't believe it--how impressive is that!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great The outer jacket runs a little larger for the arms. But I'm petite even in height so that may have been the reason. Other than that, great warm Jacket for a Minnesotan, 2014 starting as one of the coldest years we've had. Wore the inside layer with a different jacket to go night ice fishing, great warmth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this convertable jacket!! No snow means I haven't actually been able to put this jacket to a full test, but I love the fact that it can be worn so many different ways. The zip out jacket is fantastic and I've already received many compliments on the red color. Fits great, very warm....would highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really like it This jacket looks very nice and keeps you warm from cold and raining weather. It is three in one. The inner one is also comfortable.
Date published: 2014-01-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's as good as they say it is I am always cold. always. Living in Boston, MA with the new England winters we get, I am forever in a search of a quality winter coat that won't break the bank. I found it in this jacket! I am 5'3" and 120 pounds. the small fit great, because you don't need much room for layering. Plus, I wanted a fit that was flattering, and not bulky.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this! I ordered this for my ski trip this year and I loved it! It kept me warm and dry all day long! I'm glad that I decided to go ahead and order the XL. I typically wear a L, but figured it would be safer to order a little bigger than to end up with something too small. The omniheat in the inner jacket is perfect and I'll wear that one separate from the rest of the coat now that I'm home.
Date published: 2014-01-06
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Jacket EVER This jacket is by far the best jacket I've ever owned. The omni-heat works just the way it's advertised and came in very handy this cold winter out here in Colorado. From now on I will only purchase Columbia omni-heat jackets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Jacket I'm in love. I'm 5"4, 150lbs, large chest and the medium fits just right. There is not a lot of remove for bulky under layer. Very warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun with Layering in the Snow I live in TN. The layers of this jacket suit me well. Fits well and love the ability to unzip the two layers to suit the weather.
Date published: 2013-12-29
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Jacket I'm 5'11" and a size 6. I ordered a medium and it fits perfectly. The arms are longer than most jackets but it works perfectly for mine. I just got the jacket about a week ago but it has been incredibly warm even for our -10 South Dakota weather this week. The liner looks great to wear on its own and keeps you plenty warm for those warmer winter days. The jacket is nice and light too. I'd definitely recommend this coat for others.
Date published: 2013-12-29
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Arms are very long I am 5'4" tall and wear a size 10. I ordered a size large since the reviews said this coat runs small. Unfortunately the sleeves run very long - they hung all the way to the tips of my fingers - so I am returning it. If it wasn't for the sleeves I would have kept it. Very cute coat, nicely fitted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from warm, comfy and waterproof!! I bought this jacket for my snowboarding class but also wear it during normal days. It rains a lot during winter in Portland and this jacket is really warm and waterproof so it's great for the weather. Totally would recommend it.
Date published: 2013-12-21
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exactly what i hoped for I'm 5'2 and 58kgs. This jacket fits well. It's not as slimlined as other jackets around, but that hard when you're a smaller size. The inner liner is super warm, and can easily be used under other jackets. I wore the 3-in-1 skiing yesterday, and found, at the end of the day, though snow made it between the 2 layers (I didn't zip the liner in), I didn't even know about it. Was completely warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HOLY WARM Even when its 75 degrees out I am wearing a jacket I am just never warm. However the entire time I have been wearing this jacket I have not felt cold one time. The jacket is amazing, I love everything about this jacket. It does run a little small. I normally would wear a Medium but wanted to go with large so I could wear hoodies underneath it. Im glad I went with the large because it fits just right wearing regular clothing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Coat is nice and cozy. Coat is warm; Omni heat works very nicely. Color white gets dirty. Love the thumb holes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Investment This jacket fits perfect, and is great for the constant mood swings in Arkansas weather (12 degrees one day, and 60 degrees two days later.)
Date published: 2013-12-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice jacket! I got this jacket in the purple and really like the looks of it! It is also very warm. I feel like it's a little snug in the armpit area when I wear a thick sweater/sweatshirt under it, but otherwise fits great. The only thing that would take it from 4 stars to 5 stars is to make it longer! Shorter jackets are tough in MN - we need to cover our butts! :)
Date published: 2013-12-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT for MN winters This coat is awesome! Great for the extreme cold that we get during MN winters. I had an Interchange coat as a kid and the only thing that has changed has been for the the better - the Omni-Heat® addition is fantastic. On more "mild" days (think 20°F and feels like 10°F or so) just the "inside" with the Omni-Heat® layer is enough! LOVE IT!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm I found the product to be what they say it is; very warm and a good fit. The thumb wholes take a bit of getting use to but I find that I like them now. I wanted something I felt was going to keep me warm and I have not had an issue of being cold with this jacket...too warm at time but the underarm zipper and the ability to remove part of the coat do well in fixing that issue. I would rather be to warm than to cold so I am very happy with my choice to get this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and Warm I bought this coat for my wife right before a stretch of the coldest weather we've had in 40 years. My wife thinks that 60 degF is too cold, so when she was able to go outside when it was 10 degF and not be cold, I knew this was a good coat. It looks great, very well constructed and the omni-heat liner keeps the coat warm without being bulky (which my wife loves). All in all, a really great coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Jacket I wanted to get a great quality jacket for winter and my father, who has a Columbia product, recommended I look on your website. I wanted a three in one because DC winters can be so unpredictable; lots of rain, lots of snow, or a mix of the two. This jacket will help me get through the winters here no problem. The jacket does run a little small but with the Omni liner I'm not so worried about wearing a sweater. I've already worn it with just a long sleeved shirt in 30 degree weather and been plenty warm.
Date published: 2013-12-12
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jacket but SMALL!!! OMG! I should have trusted the reviews. I wear a size 12 and that would be FITTING. Size 14 more relaxed. So I bought this size L jacket which says 12-14. It is snug. If I gained weight - that would be the end of me wearing this jacket. If I use a thick sweater - it would not be comfortable.... Then the SLEEVES are long! I am 5'4". I'll probably exchange it for an XL but wondering how much longer will the sleeves be.... uuugghh!! good product but PLEASE create it using EXACT size measurements. I have not tested this out in the cold ( it is 18F today) since I am planning on returning this but wearing it in the house - it is VERY VERY WARM. There are no issues about this product being able to handle the cold.
Date published: 2013-12-10
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jackets (3) I love the Jacket (3 Jackets), but it runs very small. In all other clothing I am a true size large. I wanted to reorder the next size but it isn't available, then again the sleeves would probably be to long. I'll use this one with just a shirt under it.
Date published: 2013-12-10
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Soft, Warm and QUIET This coat is great for the freezing winter. It's not slick and noisy, like many ski coats. The insulation is very soft, but doesn't make the coat look to "puffy." I love it!
Date published: 2013-12-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Columbia = Quality I knew when I purchased this online that it would b a great value and it is. The site warned me that it runs a little small so I ordered a larger size than I usually would for my wife and it fits perfectly. She wore it as soon as she went out after opening the gift. You can't go wrong with Columbia.
Date published: 2013-12-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, snug, very warm Great jacket! I fit a medium coat, this coat is snug, I love the thumbholes. Keeps all the cold air out. I feel encased in a warm shell. Much lighter than a cheaper coat. Worth the price.
Date published: 2013-12-06
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super warm Using it to go snowboarding and though i haven't yet, I can already tell the jacket will be incredibly warm. it's a bit snug, so if you want to do a lot of layering, I would recommend a size up; however, the coat is so warm, I doubt you would need to wear bulky layers!
Date published: 2013-12-04
Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a great Jacket. I love this jacket! I hate being cold but live where it can get below zero a lot during the winter. This jacket keeps me warm and isn't too bulky. I also like the bottom of the sleeves where you can put your thumb thru... that provide extra protection from the cold air going up your sleeves. I like that I can use just the inside layer on days that aren't to cold but not warm either and still be comfortable. The only complaint I have is the sleeves and the length are a little long and wish they had a petite size ...seeing how I am only 5'1'' otherwise I like the fit and I wish there would have been more colors to choose from.
Date published: 2013-12-03
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket Like fit and warmth. The sleeves on liner are good for keeping the cold out. Quality is excellent and price is reasonable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Very nice product, good quality. I had to exchange it for a bigger size but overall just what I was looking for. I do recommend.
Date published: 2013-12-02
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this coat I normally wear a large but ordered extra large because I like it a little roomy. However, the extra large is too tight unless you are wearing only a light T-shirt underneath. That is OK though because the coat is very warm. I also found the arms are about an inch too long for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wish i hadn't waited so long I have wanted a jacket just like this for about 12-14 years... i know that sounds crazy, but my brother received a columbia bug-a-boo as a christmas gift in college. i always wanted one just like it. of course time passed & i couldn't justify spending the money on myself. luckily, i happened to need a much warmer coat & decided to go for a whirlibird since it is protected with omni-heat. i am completely in love. i wear it all the time.... as far as fit. i am 5'1" with a size 6 waist & 34C chest, so i got a medium. the outer layer is just a little large on its own but the under is perfect & together it all fits just right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Cold and Rain Season Coat Upgraded my old parka to this fabulous interchange jacket. Much less bulky than I expected and allows for easy movement. So much easier to just slip on this warm jacket than layering fleeces, vests and shells for our daily doggie walking. The waterproof feature was a must in our climate and did not disappoint. Love the sleeve/thumb option--don't need my gloves as often either. And the plaid pattern was a hit! Many compliments. I just love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Coat This coat is so warm. I have never had a coat that is this warm. It is all that they say it is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice and Warm Coat was very comfortable in 20 degree weather. Loved the thumb holes. Only issue is that when both coats are together you cannot get to inside pocket for goggles without unzipping. Would like to see a loop hole to put a ski pass through as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Living in the desert it doesn't always get cold but when it does it can be very cold. I am so glad I ordered this jacket it is amazing. We are having our first winter storm right now and it keeps me so warm. I get the next size up because I like to be comfortable and not confined by a jacket. The length in the sleeves is perfect for someone who is tall like me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love my jacket Just love my new jacket. It holds me warm and dry. Even without gloves my hands don't get cold so fast, because of that little detail, in the sleeve. Basictly is it a year-around-jacket. The only minus is, that the sizes are on the small site. I'm working in retail and I need to recomment a bigger size for my costomer and that's not a good thing, no woman will go a size bigger. So please think about that, when you design a new stil

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I absoloutely love it! We live in the cold climate of North Dakota. This jacket is just what I need. I can use it separately or with the liner on the cold days. It is light weight so I don't feel bogged down. Fits great, looks great...I've had many compliments and I haven't even had it that long!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very warm and comfortable. Would highly recommend this coat! I wear just the jacket in chilly weather and when it's snowing put on the outer jacket. It's perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! I love, love this jacket. It is so warm! I wore it to a soccer game in Pennsylvania with 40 mile an hour winds, hail, and 30 degrees. It worked perfectly. I got a small (I am 5 '4" and 120 lbs) and it fit perfectly. It fits well - not bulky, and is very cute! This is definitely the jacket that I will wear all season!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps you warm! I hate the cold so I thought that the omni heat technology would be perfect, and it is. This jacket keeps me warm and is a very nice style! Not too bulky like other jackets and still keeps me warm, so bring on the snow New England!
