Women’s Whirlibird™ Mitten is rated out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Deedy26 from Best Gloves for Problem Hands I have Raynaud's and my hands were always cold and my fingers were always purple until I started using Whirlibird Omniheat mittens. If I warm up my hands and then put on my mittens, I am good to go in Chicago's cold weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Han19 from Warm Have worn these gloves outside when it was 27 below [without windchill]. These gloves along with a glove liner kept my fingers nice and warm, although the thumb did get chilly. I like the wrist cuffs that protect you there as well. Am planning on purchasing a second pair soon. NOTE: These do run small. I am 5' 9" so have a bit larger of a hand, and the large glove was a bit tight on me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Krits from Warm!! My fingers are usually very cold all winter, but now with these gloves they are warm! Will buy again!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by mpp7 from But not for me I was hopeful that these mittens would keep my cold hands warm while dog-walking, but they were too tight and too stiff to do the job. Maybe for someone with long skinny hands?

Rated 4 out of 5 by CMKJ from The Light ones are not white I took the recommendations of the other posters and ordered a size up. I usually wear M and ordered L and they fit perfectly. Though I ordered the light ones, I thought they looked white. They are actually light purple. Not my style really but the quality is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DanStan from Kept me warm The mittens are great. They keep my hands warm and dry. When the wind was blowing hard, I did use hand warmers, but overall these work great! I got a medium and wish I got a large.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JeniJo from Will Be Very Warm I ordered these for when I have to shovel out during the cold North Dakota winters. I thought I had ordered large enough to fit my hands with glove liners inside, but they're a little snug. I don't anticipate this being a problem though and they seem that they will be warm enough without a liner. I can't speak for their warmth or functionality until it's actually snowing and I need to put them to good use, but they seem like they'll work great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by inky from works great I got frostbite as a child because I would sit and watch my brother ice skate and I couldn't do it...and my toes and fingers got frostbite....my mother worked and we were left on our own.... Anyway....these mittens really DO work and keep my fingers and hands from being cold. The technology traps the heat in and I don't need the hand warmer inserts you can buy to heat up your hands...thank you Columbia

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gale from Mittens I went with the larger size due to being on the edge and made the right decision. I haven't had a lot of opportunity to use them at this point but when I did I was much happier than wearing gloves which never seem to keep my hands as warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ALLI1129 from Great Ski Mittens I bought these for my daughter for her first ski trip. She loved them! She said her hands were toasty warm despite the frigid temps and likes that they went past her wrist and tightened up to keep snow out when she fell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lindalou12 from Warm and Toasty My hands get cold! These are warm. I bought a large because I read other reviews and that was the right thing to do. Once your hands are in the elastic is snug and they stay put. The cuffs are long to either put inside your coat sleeve or out and your wrists stay warm. I got these right when our weather was a little below 0 this winter and was happy they were delivered quickly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LKMW from Nice mitten, but runs narrow Liked the style and quality of this mitten, but the width is narrow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Llhess2009 from Great Gloves These gloves are great. Usually, I wear a large; however, ordered an extra large, they are a bit snug. I like them though - color is vibrant and they are toasty warm!

Rated 4 out of 5 by MrPink from Warm Mittens My wife's hands are always cold and she struggles in the winter. I got these mittens for her and they are keeping her hands warm. The only complaint is that they are very small. With other brands she wears a large so I ordered her the extra large and they are still a little too short so they don't fit right on her long hands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Goatherder from great warm mittens I bought five pairs of mittens for my grand kids. They loved them and they are very warm. They are all 10-13 years old, but I bought adult mittens since they seemed a bit warmer than the youth sizes I had purchased previously. All the mittens fit well and so far they have held up to the vigorous play of the grand kids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lesliejean from Warm mittens I have a condition that causes lack of circulation in my fingers. These do keep my fingers warm. Order larger than you normally would. I usually wear a medium but after reading the other reviews, ordered a large and happy I did. They fit perfectly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by aliq from Perfect cold-weather mittens These mittens are just what I need with the cold Chicago winter approaching. As someone who uses public transit to commute, I'm outside for extended periods of time, and often my hands are freezing after five minutes regardless of what type of gloves or mittens I have on. With these mittens, not only would my hands stay warm, if I put the mittens on after my hands were freezing, they would warm up instantly. I personally think the gloves run a little small, though. I have relatively small hands, and the mediums were snug on me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MJOB from Great Mitten My hands are always cold and saw other reviews about how warm they are, and they are in fact, toasty! I spent all day skiing in them without having to use hand warmers. I highly recommend these mittens!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Abby818 from Perfect timing These came on the eve of one of the many winter storms to grace the Portland area winter 2016/2017. I opted for a medium and I'm glad I did because I have long fingers. I'm so happy to have warm mittens for my raynauds! The best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DStone from Awesomely warm mitten This is the best Mitten I have ever owned. The little dots on the inside of this mitten keep your hands toasty warm. I have tried liners with gloves and gloves that were supposed to keep your hands warm. Nothing has worked until I came across these mittens. I highly recommend these for people whose hands get cold easily and have had trouble finding gloves or mittens to keep you warm. If your hands are cold when you put them in these mittens it only takes maybe 5 minutes to warm them up. I can't say enough good things about these mittens . They are awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WeatherChick86 from The BEST ski accessory I've ever purchased I have poor circulation in my fingers and am notorious for getting cold in gloves, so I opted for mittens. These mittens kept my hands WARM while skiing in CO in 4° air. I could not be happier with my purchase and would definitely recommend them, especially to women whose hands/fingers get cold easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LEoS from A guy's view This is my first pair of mittens since childhood. They fit well and keep, your hands warm. First use was the blizzard of 2016 in the DC area. The mittens kept my hands warm and dry. The pull tabs pull to since closed and also have a release pull strap. Yes I am a man who bought size XL gloves as they were out of men's mittens. Who cares, they work!

Rated 2 out of 5 by BeckJo from Not Warm Enough for Snow Sports These mittens appear to be well constructed with sturdy materials, stitching, straps, hardware, etc. However, they aren't warm enough to wear skiing, even at relatively warm temperatures (just below freezing). I'm returning them as they're useless for snow sports. Not what I expect from Columbia, a brand I'm usually pleased with.
