Women's Zenith Vista Jacket is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 55.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable product I have had this product for a bit over 3 years now and it is still warm! I am a dogwalker who is outside all day and this jacket has kept me super warm throughout the years. Whether it is raining or snowing, I am dry and warm underneath! The jacket looks amazing on also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Purchase Love this jacket and get many complements on it. It says "winter" but I live in Wisconsin so that is not true. It is a great Spring and Fall jacket. Love all the pockets. Love the sleek fit. Very stylish.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great looking coat but short on warmth! I wore this coat on a cold day in Seattle with temperatures in the mid-30s in rain and snow. The good news is it stayed dry but the bad news was it didn't keep me warm at all. I believe the silver lining, which looks like aluminum foil, is for communicating with aliens rather than keeping in heat. It's a great Spring coat NOT Winter!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from FANTASTIC Travel Coat! This was a PERFECT coat for a recent 3 week winter trip to Europe - Waterproof, warm enough, didn't wrinkle, and looks nice enough to throw over a dress in the evenings too. The sleeves run a little long, and the body a little small. I WISH there was an inside pocket, but otherwise, fantastic coat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my new coat! I was looking for a longer raincoat to wear that was both functional and attractive. This one fits the bill with nice lines, while at the same time being dry, warm, and cozy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tailored with cool features I had my eyes on this jacket for a while, and after a sale I decided to get it. I'm so glad I did! This jacket is sophisticated, good for cooler (but not cold) temps, and the coolest part is a zip pocket on the left arm where you can store credit cards or keys (or a smaller sized phone). I've received a lot of compliments on this jacket, and highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not a winter coat! I was slightly disappointed when I first received the coat as I thought it would be of a much warmer variety. I guess I misread the description! However, while this coat might not be appropriate for a -25C day, with a polar fleece underneath, it is up to most winter weather. So, all in all, an excellent purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Jacket!!!! I bought this coat to wear with dresses, and to the office daily. It fits perfectly, and is so comfortable! I read lots of reviews that the coat is not warm, however, for the central Oregon weather it works perfect! If your looking for the perfect jacket this is it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not meant for northeast winters This coat is an unexpected surprise from Columbia. It caught my eye as I left the store after fulfilling my mission to find a gift.Tried the coat on,it had a "tailored" fit after I zipped and buttoned it up without using the belt.I wanted a "trench coat"that wasn't traditional in material,or design.LOVE the assortment of pockets even the men don't get with a trench, bonus. When in California, Oregon,Washington, this coat will work during the winters. In the northeast, with those low temperature wind chilled days,I will be wearing something else.Especially if I am outside, and not just in and out of a car. Four stars since I have no idea how well the materials will hold up as I wear the Zenith Vista.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from the cloth Pills and catches lint! It is such a shame that such a beautiful jacket pills all the time! I love the style and it is really warm but unfortunately after only a few uses, it started to pill and catch lint. :-(

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rain Jacket Pretty good, stylish rainjacket. It's not that great for very cold winters. I am 5'6" 125 lbs. The S is a bit big, so there's room for me to wear multiple layers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best travel coat I am in love with this coat. It fits so well in my suitcase when I travel from warm to cold and back again. The lining heats you up quickly when its cold and remains thin and fitted. Love, love, love.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ZENITH VISTA JACKET I bought the Black Jacket size Small - I am 5'9" 130lb. The jacket fits me PERFECT. The fit is true to size and I can wear a layers under it. I look smashing in it, even if I do say so myself :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice Jacket I received this jacket in December and have already worn it too many times to count. The appreance of this jacket is very nice, I always get compliments when wearing it. It is a great layering jacket, and although I do not live north with harsh winter I still can agree with other reviewers that this is not a winter jacket. It also is not a full trench coat, but pairs nicely with a pair of boots, together providing full protection. Thus far it has been able to provide great protection from the wind and the rain and overall I am more then happy with this jacket. I originally purchased this jacket in black and plan to purchase the font grey as well, it would be nice to see more jackets offered in the color navy as it is a classic color.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Short trench, not functional Let me start the review by saying I love Colombia products. Anything with Omni-heat keeps you ridiculously warm. I was looking for a warm raincoat that I could wear in the fall/spring. The dimensions quoted for the Small were up to a 38" chest (I am 36") and it seemed that it would fit. Wrong. It left barely an inch for clothing and I needed this to work for over my work clothes or a sweater. I love the stand up collar, but it was just too short and stopped higher above the knee than I wanted. I need something to keep out the rain since I walk to work and unfortunately, this wasn't going to cut it, so I returned it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a winter jacket For some reason, this jacket is grouped with winter coats. I should have paid attention to all the reviews that said this is not a warm coat, but then there was someone who claimed it was very warm. She must have been reviewing a different coat. It is only 45 outside, and this coat is not even warm enough to wear in this weather. It is a pretty coat, perfect length, but the high collar does not fold down. Good for wind, but uncomfortable. Also runs a bit small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best. Coat. Ever. I can't believe some of the reviews for this coat not being warm?!?! This is one of THE warmest coats I've ever owned! EVER! And I live in Western NY where lately the temps have been in the negative digits! I don't feel a thing with this coat on. I love the higher collar for cold days, I love the cuffs inside the bottom of the sleeves (keeps cold from shooting up my arms) and best of all I love the fact that you don't feel like you have a big coat on. You can move around without it being annoying. If I had to say one not so good thing, it would be that the hood is a little big...but that is usually the case with any coat I buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jacket, Hood is a little too large I absolutely love the style, Fit and feel of this jacket. I get a lot of compliments. My only complaint is that hood is a little too large and covers my eyes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a winter jacket This jacket is incredibly stylish, but is not warm. I moved to Minnesota for college and needed a winter coat. I expected the "winter use" and Omni Heat feature to keep me warm, but this jacket is just an average rain jacket. I was arguably colder in it than without it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Different definition of 'winter' After looking for a trench coat, I finally found this one! I was able to try on a L at a local store location -- the silhouette of the L fit me better, but was too snug across the shoulders, so I ordered the XL. My observations: With the XL, I have extra fabric below the waist, so the jacket silhouette isn't as slim as the L; I carry my keys in the pockets and noticed the bottom buttons puckered up with the weight; This will be a great coat for Minnesota spring and fall, but not for the winter weather here; With the XL, I'm able to wear a fairly thick, acrylic sweater underneath. Like a couple of reviews, I found the sleeves to be a bit long, even with the cuffs adjusted. And even though the 'omni-heat' lining runs through the arms, my arms did get cold. This jacket fit my needs as I was looking to replace mid to light weight jackets and eliminate a couple of rain coats from my closet. I think it would be great for a mild winter climate, just not Minnesota.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice jacket but unable to shorten due to materials. I really like how this jacket looks and fits. Where I have an issue with this jacket is with the construction that prevents the sleeves from being shortened. Since I am not very tall, any jackets that don't have a snug band around the wrist have to be shortened. Unfortunately the materials used in this jacket prevent it from being shortened unless the sleeve are cut off a few inches up from the cuff and then re-attached with a seam further up the sleeve. My tailor even tried to open the sleeve at the shoulder to removed length and could not do so because of how the lining was attached to the jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Investment Purchased several years ago at full retail price; still have jacket; best in all seasons; chic, sophisticated, so plain and simple yet elegant and full of quality and it shows when you wear it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a cold weather coat This coat is stylish and has a great tailored fit. I bought it as a warm winter coat that would still be stylish enough to wear to work. THIS IS NOT A COLD WEATHER COAT - especially for the winter we're having. It's perfect for a spring/fall rain coat, but I don't think it's appropriate for cold winter days. It's very thin and light and should be advertised as a rain coat. I was disappointed as I thought it would be warmer and $250 for a rain coat seems expensive for what it is. I ended up returning the item b/c it's not what I was looking for. But, if you're in the market for a seasonal rain coat, this one is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice mid-season jacket Very flattering and nice mid-season jacket. Not super warm, though warm enough to be fine in 40+ degree weather if you aren't walking far. VERY waterproof. Sleeves are a bit long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is amazing Exactly what I have been looking for!! Looked and looked for a basic classy jacket that I could dress up or down. This is so much fun to wear with dresses or jeans and great feel being light weight and classy!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from NOT WARM I, a normally overheated menopausal woman, just wore my coat for the first time. It is overcast, 46 degrees and no wind. As I walked the outdoor shopping center I became cold. In spite of wearing a sweatshirt under my coat, my arms were cold as if I were wearing a sleeveless coat. The coat is well sewn, lightweight and has deep pockets. I intend to look into Columbia returns policy as I need a warm coat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product looks and functions great. Love this coat. Looks great, quality is great, keeps me comfortable in rain and cool weather. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the sleeves were a little long and I couldn't tighten them enough to shorten them. Wore it all over Mexico and looked great even in the evening in Mexico City. Great pockets on jacket if you don't want to carry a purse at times. Got lots of compliments on coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Travel! I bought this jacket for a study abroad in Ireland. It rains a lot and it has kept me dry everyday this week while others looked soaked around me! If you want a rain jacket that is more sassy and sophisticated and keeps you dry, then you need this jacket!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rock solid The construction of the jacket is top-notch. But, for the price, two details bother me. First when I button the cuff to tighten the fit the coat pulls at the button -- there should be reinforcement to the button area so the fabric folds and lays nicely. Second, the belt should have a innerfacing so it is stiffer. When I cinch the belt the fabric folds over. These details would have made it a more-polished city coat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Women's Zenith Vista Everything about this jacket is great. The rain rolls right off of it. I love that the hood has a lip on the end of it, because it helps to keep the rain off of my face. The little bungee cords to tighten the hood around your face are awesome, great feature. I was unsure if a medium was going to big enough because I usually take a large in jackets, but they did not have a large in stock, so I went with the medium. It fit perfectly. I can't wear anything too bulky underneath it, because it then becomes too tight. The only thing I wish was different, and that I am slightly displeased with is the length of the jacket. I thought it would be longer. It hits right above the knee which leaves a gap between where my rain boots end and the jacket starts. When it is raining that area becomes soaked. All and all I am pleased with the product, and I got express shipping, and received it right before a huge storm. I am so happy I did! Because of where I live, I am outside everyday walking, so this jacket is a perfect addition to my life!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Hard/Looks Good I'm tall and this jacket fits well. It looks better on than in the photos. I like to tie the belt behind. I do need to add a fleece liner below 45 degrees, but it has kept me dry for two seasons now. The pockets are excellent, there's even a handy wrist pocket for MAX tickets. This was well worth the investment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute but not warm I thought that this coat will be for the winter season. Unfortunately you can wear it and stay warm only when the temperature outside is in 50s and high 40s. The length of this coat is way above your knees.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So glad I bought this coat! Functional and super cute. I had bought a similar jacket from another outdoor brand (rhymes with ForthNace) and sent it back and kept this one. Not only does this one fit better and look more stylish, but the belt (rather than the tie on the other one) stayed cinched nice and tight and the Omni-Heat really does help keep you toasty warm. I do think it's just a tiny bit roomy - I think if I had known I might have gone with the x-small. But then again it allows you room for some layers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat I purchased this coat so I would have another jacket to wear to church with nicer clothes or an everyday jacket in wet weather. I have worn this coat quite a bit & I've not had problems with it. It is comfortable & it keeps me warm though I have not worn it in weather colder then 40 F yet. I bought a small it is a little big in the waist but it allows me to wear layers & it has a belt to cinch in if necessary.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Northwest style, function, and fit to perfection! This fitted raincoat gives a more refined look for the pacific northwest weather. Columbia is focused on the details that make a difference. Pockets everywhere, with zippers too. Deep hoods and sleeve length that fully covers. Thank you for understanding our needs!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from At Last I've Found It! I've been looking for a winter coat that is both slimming and warm. Usually I could only find one or the other. Columbia's Zenith Vista is my preferred winter coat. I found that the sleeves were a bit long (reaching my knuckles) and a little loose. It hinders when the cold wind shoots up my sleeve but that is solved with a thick sweater or gloves. It's perfectly warm and looks great!
Date published: 2012-12-29
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Jacket for Pacific NW Winters This jacket is just what I have been searching for to get me through the rainy cold months. I felt too warm walking the rainy streets of Portland in a ski jacket, but too cold in a waterproof shell. This jacket is the perfect mix of waterproof protection and light insulation and the mid-length a bonus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great for traveling purchased this coat to wear in professional work environments. Do a lot of air travel and car travel to see clients. Jacket performed excellently in snow, ice, wind and rain as well as light enough for the plane ride. A little big even over suit jacket. Looks better in person.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Omni Heat Works I wanted to wait a few weeks before I wrote this review, so it would hold a little more meaning. First off, its a very nice jacket, flattering and comfortable. Not bulky at all, and even with a Medium (my standard size) I can have a sweater or even suit jacket on underneath. Speaking of, it looks very professional. I live in Seattle, and can tell you, it repels the water nicely and the hood has great coverage. I also just spent some considerable time in the midwest, where it was much colder, and where my body was covered, I was very warm! I was worried, esp when the wind chill dipped, but I did OK! You should def check out this jacket if you are looking for a more professional, yet warm, rain/cold jacket. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dry in Seattle Just moving to Seattle I need a jacket that would keep me dry and wanted something that didn't look like I was out for a hike. I am sooo happy with the Zenith Vista Trench. The water beads up and rolls off and the reflective lining keeps me warm with out the bulk. The hood is large and has a a bill that keeps the rain off my face so I don't need an umbrella in most rain falls. love it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Oregon Trench Coat This Trench is the perfect blend of fashion and function. It looks good buttoned up or open over business attire. It is very waterproof, lightweight and warm. The best part is the hood. I had to order the XS vs. S for the length of the sleeves. My only concern is that it may be too warm with the omniheat lining.
Date published: 2012-10-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cute and functional Warm and waterproof, but nice and trendy! While the coat itself is pretty warm, it has enough room to layer underneath. The zipper hidden beneath the buttons is a great design. Love this coat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dream coat! This is the coat I've always wanted but never could find til now - warm, waterproof, has a hood, looks good over both casual clothes and dressy outfits, pairs equally well with pants or a skirt. It's tremendously figure-flattering, and changes personality as easily as fastening the hood on or taking it off, wearing with the belt or without. I'm tall with long arms so the extra sleeve length is the final touch of perfection for me. I was almost tempted to buy two of these coats so I'd have a backup if the first one ever wears out - I never again want to be without it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great coat ... but not as warm as I expected First, the things I love about this coat: I do love it. The Zenith is comfortable, looks great, and it's my everyday coat during the cooler months. The versatile styling is perfect for me -- I can wear it in the field with my camera, photographing wildlife, and then it's dressy enough to wear out to dinner. I love the coverage for cold and rain (below the hip). I don't understand why more women's coats aren't made in the anorak style. They just keep you drier than waist-length jackets -- and when I'm out photographing, I don't have to worry about the coat riding up when I'm moving around for shots. The removable hat is a useful feature, and it turns the coat into a more elegant trench if you remove it on dry days. The hat itself has adjustable elastic to keep it on your head during heavy winds. And it works. The zip pocket in the left sleeve is so useful to me. I often stash extra memory cards in this pocket when I'm out shooting. The reason I can't give this coat a 5-star review is because the degree of warmth and waterproofness was a bit misrepresented by the employee at the Seattle store. I bought this as my primary winter coat (I wanted warmth + waterproofness) and was concerned about how warm the Omni-Heat reflective lining would be. I had the budget for one winter coat and was looking for a multi-purpose style. The salesman said I would swelter without any sort of layering underneath. So, I bought it to fit, without leaving a lot of extra room for a fleece or sweater. I guess I just don't reflect back enough body heat because there is no way I can stay warm in this coat without layering. I bought a thinsulate vest to wear underneath which helps. The degree of warmth might depend on how warm you tend to run. On warmer winter or spring days, the coat is a bit too warm for me. On cold days, it's not quite warm enough. I was also told the coat was waterproof. I asked specifically if it was "water resistant" or "waterproof"? The salesman told me, waterproof. The first squall I got caught in without an umbrella, showed the coat to be quite water resistant for a length of time -- but not totally waterproof. After a walk in the downpour, the rain stopped beading and started soaking. To be fair, the lining stayed dry, so although the exterior was soaked through, my shirt wasn't soaked. It works in average rain you'd encounter, but doesn't repel water like a slicker would.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new favorite jacket! I love love love this jacket. It is stylish and very figure flattering. It is warm and not bulky. It is exactly the right length, I get compliments whenever I wear it. The sleeves have buttons at the cuffs and I used the tighter setting. It give the sleeves a nice shape and looks very tailored. Love love love.
