Winter gloves
The overall quality is excellent, but with someone who has thicker working fingers, and like me, small hands, the fabric is a bit to tight. Overtime, the gloves do loosen up and when being used, they don't hinder any winter project or activity.

So good, I gave them away
I purchased these gloves to wear during down time in between Search and Rescue training's and missions. IN the cold, wet NW climate, it's tough to keep my fingers warm. These gloves were doing the job well. Nice fit, great insulation, good mobility. I was supporting one of our tracking K-9's on a training and came across a homeless person who looked cold and had no gloves. I stopped and spoke with him. He noticed my gloves from Columbia. I ended up giving him my gloves to try on. Once the gloves were on, I asked for him to keep them. He tried to thank me, I told him to thank Columbia. Columbia has been a huge supporter of SAR in the Portland area. I will definitely buy another pair!

If you are buying these to keep you warm in the mid-west, your better off looking elsewhere. I stay in Wisconsin where during winters it drops below 32F quite frequently. I bought these thinking they would keep my hands warm while snow blowing...
Thought the quality seems to be nice (except they have unusually long fingers) but the main purpose seems to be defeated. After about 10 mins outside (around 20F), my hands were frozen. I had to go back inside the house and get my thinsulates.

Overall a very good glove. Fits true to size. My only critique is that I have noticed my fingertips getting pretty cold while the rest of my hand stays warm. Other than that a great product.

Solid Gloves
The polar vortex gave me a good chance to test these out. When the temps were in the 20's and the windchill around zero they kept my hands warm. When the temps dropped below zero and wind chills were -30, they did not. I had to put on a thin pair of gloves to wear underneath and then I was fine. I wasn't expecting them to keep my hands toasty when it got that cold. It took 20 minutes before they got cold in the extreme weather. The waterproofing is good as the gloves were pretty much dry after snowblowing.

Big hands
I generally buy men's gloves because I have big hands and the women's sizing is so off. These fit perfectly. They feel a bit bulky but after moving my fingers around a bit they are fine. These were bought for snowmobiling in New Hampshire.

Warm and Dry
I went skiing a few weeks ago when we had one of those cold snaps. I wore some wool gloves to go get my skis from the rental. Granted these are my day to day go to gloves. The wind was so sharp and blowing ice dust. The wool gloves were no match I was freezing and didn't think I was going to make it back. I used the Tumalos the rest of the weekend and remained warm and dry throughout my trip. these are a must have for any cold conditions.

Size is wrong ... variance in size between left and right glove
I am small, 5'7", I am not large. I ordered men's size large gloves. The left hand almost fits ... tight, but could live with it. The right glove cuts off the circulation in my fingers.I have no idea if these gloves will be warm or not, they are unusable in their current condition. The size is ridiculously inaccurate and not even similar between left and right glove.If you normally take a large glove ... I typically fall between a medium and a large ... then you will need an XL at a minimum.If you have large hands, DO NOT BUY THESE GLOVES, they will not fit.
