Women’s Saturday Trail™ Stretch Pant - Plus Size is rated out of 5 by 31.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Linds05 from Great in all areas except length These pants are extremely comfortable and easy to move around in. As suggested by other reviews, I did size up one from my usual Columbia pant size and they fit well. My one complaint would be the lack of availability of the long length in larger sizes, as these run just a tad bit short in comparison to other Columbia pant styles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TravelQueen from 5 Stars for Saturday Trail Pants True to size and description. Fabric quality is excellent. No skimping on details, design or workmanship because of the plus size.....thank you! Took 2 pairs to Hawaii....that was all I needed; rolled up to capris and down to pants, as needed. Easy wash and dry. Thank you Columbia! Can’t wait for additional colors to come out!

Rated 4 out of 5 by OutdoorJen from Great pants- Definitely size up I had to size up 1 from my normal Columbia pants size, mostly because of the structured waistband. I appreciate the pockets and good quality. Definitely recommend!

Rated 3 out of 5 by CarolMontana from Not the same sizing as the capris I'm 5'8" and 200 lbs.I love the capri's. I'm currently in the 18W. The capris are great because they are cut generously in the thighs and knee. I first ordered 20W in these pants - baggy all over. Reordered as 18W. These fit in the hips but are bordering on tight. The legs are very tight and the material is thin. It is very tight in the knee, you can see every buldge in the knee. I have straight thighs -thick but no bulges. I'm not keeping these. There is a huge sizing difference between 18W & 20W. These need more room in width in the legs. The pants that convert with a zipper are even worse - leg width is awful. These don't shrink.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SurferMellie from Great but runs small I ordered the same size I wear in other Columbia pants but these run a bit too small. They fit in the waist and thighs but the caves and in seam are an uncomfortable cut. I returned and ordered one size larger and they felt so much better. I may need to get a belt but it is better than the feel of the smaller size. The material is great. Like the belt loops and the ability to become capris. I wish the pockets were deeper AND wished they had cargo pockets. Overall I like them and will buy more for my Alaska trip.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MandyWho from Runs small I get that these are supposed to be more of an "athletic" fit, but that shouldn't also apply to the waist measurements. And there's not enough stretch to compensate for it. These are going back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by KVDB from Idiot Designers Whoever designed these pants has clearly never met a woman above a size 8. These pants make no sense in a larger size and can't possibly work in larger sizes. Good for you for trying to offer additional sizes, but it was done with such horrible execution that I won't be trying again. After 5 failed attempts, clearly Columbia does not know what they are doing with plus size clothing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KJ44 from My new favorite pants These pants are amazing. They fit just right - I like the choice in lengths, the belt, the stretch, and the straight (but not tight) leg. Seriously my only disappointment is that when I came back to order more they don’t have any more in black in my size/length.

Rated 3 out of 5 by KTMO from Very small Typically wear size 18/20. Got the Columbia Saturday Trail II knee pants which I love, but have to size up to a 22. Ordered these in a 22 and can barely zip them so would need to go up another size to 24 (out of stock). Probably would like these if they fit. Not stuck on numbers and stigma of size, BUT I have to be able to know what to order, ya know? Weirdly off in size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by gardener20 from nice waistband, whisper light I like the shaping of these pants. The waistband is very comfortable. I ordered my normal size and thought it was a little tight. Returned it for the next size and it's nice and roomy, very lightweight which is what I needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gogojo from Exceptional Range of Motion Recently purchased these pants for my trip to Havasupai Falls. The stretchiness of these pants provided exceptional range of motion on the hikes, climbing ladders and scaling rocks. These pants dried quickly while wearing them and they are super light. These pants were comfortable and provided the perfect amount of support while hiking. They easily converted into shorter pants by rolling up the pant legs and snapping the button in place. Great pants, great stretch, great range of motion!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MarshaK from Good, flexible, comfortable pants! I own two pairs of these pants. I loved the first so much that when I lost weight I bought a new one in the right size. I love that these are offered in a short length. The are still a little long for me, but way better than regular length pants. I particularly like the styling of the loops that hold up the cuff when rolled. Only downside is that the pockets are so shallow! They are almost non-functional if you are doing a great deal of moving.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Suzzi from Saturday trail II pants, stitching issue, but great customer service! I love Saturday Trail stretch pants and bought them in a size 16W & 18W to wear base layers under in northern AZ this winter. Never had any problems with prior pairs I own except some pilling at the thigh area. The 18W pair however, had stitching coming out at the hem, thigh and pocket area. It was not seen by me until the first washing. I was going to return and was given authorization to do so.... however another trip came up and I needed them ASAP. Repaired myself as best I could by hand. These are great pants and Columbia was willing to take care of the issue no problem, but I could not do without them until the replacement arrived.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grumpray from Great pants for hiking! I purchased these pants for a hiking trip my husband and I took last weekend. It's hard to find nice hiking pants for my size, and as it turns out, these were even a little big on me! I waded through a little brook and was up over my ankles, and the pants wicked off the water right away! I was dry and comfortable afterwards! They're also very comfortable when doing a lot of climbing and walking, I would definitely recommend these!

Rated 3 out of 5 by MrsRam from Nice Pants EXCEPT Who designs a hiking pant with unusable pockets!!! Yes there are pockets but the zippered one is too small for anything but a pair of keys and positioned so it rubs on your leg when you hike. The other 2 pockets are for decoration only. TOO Shallow to put anything in. STUPID design though the pants look nice they aren't useful for hiking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by missorlando from First time wearing pants like this I needed something versatile, light and water absorbing/blocking for my trek through the Amazon. I found these pants true to size (very roomy in the rear which was great), and just long enough - I'm 5'10", 220 lbs. I appreciated the convertible roll up feature and position/type of pockets too. These pants should be worn in warmer climates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FloweredSteel from Good Pant The pant fits well and seems to wear well. I wish it had buttons instead of snap closures, but that's a personal preference. Some of the seams are in odd places and take a little getting used to. Stretchy material makes it comfortable. Overall good pant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KayakFan from Great Pants! I love how stretchy and nonrestrictive these pants are. They are definitely lightweight - good for 3-season walking/hiking but not for cold-weather use. I am pear shaped and prefer a bit higher waist and these fit perfectly - the waist band hits just a smidgen below my natural waist so they don't bind or bulge at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lilbloomer from Bought for group tour travel I bought these after researching all the water resistant pants I could find. I love all the features about them. The omni-shield was most important to me along with light weight for travel and of course comfort. They are so comfortable you almost forget you have pants on. My only disappointment is that they look nicer with pressing. Especially if you roll them up for crop pants. I am 5'2" with a 28" inseam so the 29.5" inseam for the short version is too long for me so I have to roll the cuffs up and the cuffs looks better when pressed. That matters when you are travelling with a tour group. Also I had to return the 1st pair because they were too large. The next size down fit perfectly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by wallie from The good, the bad and the ugly I really wanted to love these pants as much as I do my Saturday Trail capris, however it was not to be. The good: The fabulous fabric is comfortable and sheds wrinkles. The back pockets are deep. The length was perfect for me. The bad: The front pockets are virtually unusable: too shallow for a phone or small wallet. I wouldn't even trust my keys in those pockets. The ugly: I bought my usual size (20)which fits in the waist, just barely, but has very wide hips and thighs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BlackOlive from About Those Pockets... I bought a pair of these at the mall and loved almost everything about them, which was why I ordered a second pair. Weirdly, the pair from the mall fit perfectly and these fit loose. The first day I wore them I had a red beverage spilled on me and the liquid pooled in a fold of the fabric and waited until I sopped it up with a napkin. If I'd stood up it would have rolled right off. Brilliant. The front pockets are strangely shallow for how deep they are. I don't bother putting anything in them because they're not secure. Or maybe I'm assuming they were meant to be pockets. Maybe they're vents masquerading as pockets. Even my hands fall out of them. Awkward. At least it has secure rear pockets big enough for a smartphone. I don't like worrying that I'm going to sit on my phone and would prefer the front pockets to come up higher. Still, they do what I need them to - cover my body and keep me cool and dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tammy2017 from Comfortable and classic I purchased these pants for a trip to the Black Hills (SD) where I knew we would be hiking and possibly swimming in creeks or lakes. I wanted something that was light weight yet durable and could get wet but dry quickly. These were so comfortable for my plus sized body and kept me cool. On one day, I opted to wear my jeans and regretted them. They were too hot and bulky for even walking around a tourist attraction. I highly recommend. My measurements indicated I would require the size 20W Short; however, with their stretch, they were too large. The 18W Short worked perfectly. I am 5'4" and 215lbs. I don't typically like wearing the petite versions of clothes as they are often just a touch too short for my liking. These were perfect. Will definitely purchase through Columbia again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Ametha from Decent pants It feels like the proportions are a little off. I think I'm a pretty average plus size shape and I found the legs were too big and the waist was too small. I fit the size 20 in the leg width and length, but even a size 22 waist was uncomfortably tight. I think they need to adjust the proportions in the plus size versions - it's like they just scaled up the regular size which assumes the tummy is flat, just rounder in proportion to the legs. Gotta keep in mind that the stomach expands outward on many plus size folks :) Otherwise, I love the material of these pants. I thought the opening for the hand pockets was too deep and caused things to fall out, but the zipper pocket on the leg is awesome. I also love the way they roll up and the latch tucks in, but for buying a pair in the shorter length, I was slightly disappointed to find they became an awkwardly long Capri. The quality of the materials and stitching is great, but the plus size design is very poor. I want to love these pants, but they miss the mark.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AmberZoe from Awesome well-fitting pants These are literally the most comfortable pants that I have ever worn. I was travelling to Yosemite and knew I would need proper hiking pants. Columbia is the only one who actually made plus-sized pants. I was a little nervous that they would be very unflattering but they weren't. I ended up wearing them every single day as they were so good. They were even better than my yoga pants. They were both cool and warm (I don't know how that works but it does) and they dried very quickly after being completely soaked by the various waterfalls. Highly recommend.
