- 1. Neck: Measure at the base or thickest part of your neck.
- 2. Sleeves: Start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder and down to the wrist. Round up to the next even number.
- 3. Chest/Bust: Measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.
- 4. Waist: Measure around the natural waistline, allowing the tape measure to sit comfortably.
- 5. Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips.

These are my favorite shorts. The tie waist means you need no belt. This multiplies the comfort whole sitting , squating, and driving. Comfortable casual and classic all in one.

Good shorts for the price
I currently order 2 pairs of these shorts with one more pair in the way. Overall they are pretty good, the material is cool and has a good stretch, and they dry almost instantly. The pockets are all a good depth and the comfort is almost unmatched. The shark colored ones are a perfect match to the website however the green ones seem to be a little different, more of a military green, a little lighter than advertised. The one thing that drives me crazy is that Columbia stitches on the large cardboard tag in the back so when you pull it off you are left with 4 random pieces of thread that don’t match the color of the shorts and are slightly difficult to remove. Overall these shorts are great from everything from swimming to going to the gym to lounging at a bbq, I recommend and have already bought again.

Perfect everyday short
Love these shorts. I have 4 pairs in the different colors. My new go to shorts for everyday wear. They stretch and move with you and are comfortable and breathe. Awesome for lounging, fishing, boating and swimming. Even dry quick after being wet. All around perfect great short!

Very versatile and flattering
Bought these for my husband, and he wears them all the time. Great for hiking, pool, beach, or just running errands around town. He has trouble finding pants that fit both the waist and butt comfortably, but the stretch fabric and cut are very flattering and comfy. The 8 inch inseam is a tad short for his liking (height of 5'8'') so the next pair will be the 10 inch.

Best shorts in the Columbia line-up
I'm going to have to edit my previous review of the Silver Ridge Stretch shorts where I said they were the best shorts money can buy, because that title now belongs to these hybrid trek shorts. These are more comfortable, have a better fit and cut are a bit shorter and most importantly are tougher. My wallet tore a small hole in the back pocket of three pairs of the silver ridge shorts but they were so comfortable that I overlooked that fault. No such issues with these, but you still get that soft, stretchy, material with the added bonus of quick dry. Like several of the other reviewers, I bought every color they had and if I could afford it I'd replace every pair of shorts I own with these. They're that good. Note that there is a drawstring on the inside waist-band that is not pictured in the product photos. You can leave them out if you want the board short look or leave them in if you want to wear a belt. Great, great shorts. 5-8, 185 and the 34s, 8' inseam fit me perfectly.10 inches would have come down below the knee.

Fit is great and the 8" length works for ,e. My height is 173cm and I dislike short with length going to the knee.
Material is vet comfortable and light, stretchy and dries really quickly. Would buy more if they made it in other colors.

Beyond Comfortable
Made the right choice in selecting this short with the warmer PNW summer weather setting in. They are extremely comfortable, even through the hottest part of the day. Just about the most non restrictive fabric one could hope for. The fit is right for me without being to baggy. The internal draw string is really nice and very functional, meaning, these shorts will stay in place all day. A really nice product that I have purchased more than once and would recommend without any hesitation.

Perfect summer shorts!
I bought these hybrid Trek shorts for a planned visit to the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee, figuring they would be lightweight & comfortable for hiking in the summer. Although I didn't get them before I left, when I returned from my trip I was eager to try them on to see how they felt & if they would have performed well for my trip.
The shorts were a change from the cargo shorts I typically wear in the summer, & they were perfect for what I wanted; a nice looking, lightweight pair of shorts that had decent pockets & could be worn with a belt or without, due to the front-tying cinch. I have other lightweight shorts, but none that have the option for wearing a belt, so I really liked that feature.
These shorts were incredibly comfortable & allowed me plenty of range-of-motion to move without feeling like they would need to be constantly re-tied, and it was great that I could actually have anything in my pockets without dragging the shorts down.
Overall I am very happy with these shorts & would buy them again if they are available on sale!

Great shorts
I wish I'd found these sooner. Really like the athletic fit. I can go from golf to dinner. Even a bike ride is comfortable. The best thing is the back pockets are on the outside. No mesh on inside back pockets to waffle print your backside.

Love these shorts
I love these shorts. The material is very light and stretchy. Since it has a drawstring they are great for running, hiking and wearing at the gym. They don't wrinkle and look great for days without washing --and the they pack very small. Highly recommend!

I ordered mine in zinc and love the color, made from a very lightweight breathable material. Also has an internal drawstring so a belt is not necessary if not desired. Great for any hot/humid event outdoors!
