Men’s Bugaboo™ Interchange Jacket is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 188.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile and Comfortable My wife and I have both used these jackets for over a decade and absolutely love them. We live in the south so the need to have extreme weather clothing is not common. However, when we go on our yearly trips to Washington, we know we only need to grab one jacket to cover us for everything.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not waterproof - does not live up to waterproof guarantee Bought a bunch of these jackets for work. Bought them because they claim they are waterproof. They are not. Tried to exchange them for credit, but was told the oils from the dogs we work with counter-acted the waterproof chemicals they used on the jackets. huh?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bugaboo Coat It’s like wearing a sweatshirt with a heavy duty rain coat over that is held together with a snaps. Not simply a winter coat so good for someone looking to interchange coats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect interchangeable coat I use the outer layer and inner layer separately and they are both awesome. Outer layer is perfect for rainy days and does a great job of keeping me dry and warm. Inner layer is great for fall/ spring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased Warm and dry. That’s what I wanted. Fits great. I bought a Large. I’m 5’9” and weigh 180#

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Value I bought this to replace the Columbia coat I have worn for 10 years. This coat works extremely well here in Virginia when the temperatures are in the 30’s and it’s raining. Also worked well when the temps dropped to 0. It blocks the wind very well also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket I got this jacket for my be who runs hot and didn't therefore have a proper winter jacket. When we had freezing temps and 6" of snow, he was at a loss and would not go outside! I got him this jacket and absolutely loves it. Fits him perfectly and keeps him warm. Color looks great on him too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile winter jacket I bought this jacket for my boyfriend. Its a nice, warm winter jacket, and since its black, its extremely versatile. He can take it snowboarding or just for going out. The inner detachable fleece is a plus. Great product overall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and tough Super stoked on this jacket. I went up to Mt. Baker this past weekend, it was raining consistently and I finally got to use my new jacket, it proved to resist the rain, wind and snow. It especially kept me warm but I was having to much fun to notice the cold. The inner layer can be zipped out which makes it convenient if you get to hot. The color looks just like the picture from the site and size fits good with just a light base layer or tshirt. I usually wear large tops I’m 5’10” and 180lbs , since it’s a ski/snowboard jacket it’s going to feel big but that’s normal, it’s good to have a solid range of motion. I definitely recommend this jacket for a day on the mountain and anyone looking for a good priced, quality and simple jacket for winter fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No better jacket My husband is always cold! In winter he will layer cheaper winter jackets. I bought this for him and he loves it! He is warm and looks stylish with one jacket (not like the StayPuff Marshmellow man-ha!).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice winter jacket! Fits true to size, with some room for inner clothes lining. Nice and warm, comfortable and attractive jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very versatile jacket I bought this for hiking. If you only want 1 jacket for a variety of uses--this is the one. With the hood it can function as all weather/rain/snow. You can wear the outer layer as a light jacket, the inner fleece by itself or wear both pieces for more warmth. I also used a different bugaboo jacket on a late spring trip to Alaska and it was perfect. On warmer days you could zip the fleece out and put in your backpack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from winter jacket My son Rob was very excited to receive a winter jacket he didn't have one all winter received it in January even his teacher told him rob you have a new jacket it seems very nice and he said it's very warm and my mom got it for me Christmas gift.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I ordered this for my spouse who is 6’3” tall, 165 lbs. He is a tried and true medium long, but we ordered him a regular length large, worried about the length of the arms. This jacket is more than long enough for his frame. He loves this coat. He spends a solid hour or more at a time standing outside during work and with a hat and gloves he stays more than warm enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Jacket Got this for my PICKY 12 year old son whom chooses in the state of MN to not wear a jacket:/ However, I was able to get him to wear this one since it is pretty light weight! Plus side for me is that it keeps him nice and warm too!
Date published: 2018-01-25
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great choice! It's hard to believe that something so light and so thin can be so warm. I replaced a very heavy and think 3-in-1 jacket with this coat. I was skeptical that it would work but the first day I had it, I took the dog for a walk in a windy 35 degree evening with light rain. The water ran off without soaking through anywhere, the wind didn't penetrate anywhere, and my hands (ungloved) were warm in the pockets. The sleeves are big enough to get a gloved hand through and the jacket is long enough to cover the midsection and the upper thigh.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality and Fit Purchased this for my husband (who will not do reviews). Fits very true to size. Has a bit of style to it - it's not a frumpy looking winter jacket. Warm without being hot for cold winter days in Maine. For below zero windchill days he does switch out and wear the inner layer with a down jacket since he works right on a tidal river. Other than that it's a great day to day jacket. He really liked the 3-1 aspect. Would purchase again though this appears it will hold up well for quite a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I do a lot of actives out in the very cold. This jacket not only provides warmth but has enough room for me to move around, without having to keep it unzipped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much needed upgrade After losing some weight, my old Columbia Bugaboo was way too big. Ordered the XL to start with, but felt a little big, replaced with the Large and it's perfect, that's why I noted that I think it runs just a little big. I'm 5'10" currently 230lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very warm and perfect jacket for winter I had sent in my old Columbia jacket to get my zipper fixed and was sent an e-credit gift card. I really liked the color and multi season use of this interchange jacket. It does run true to size as I bought a XXL sized one and the Phoenix Blue color is as it looks like on the site. I would recommend this jacket to anyone.
Date published: 2018-01-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality coat A nice warm but not too bulky coat. One thing to be aware of if you're shopping online, the interior of the inner fleece liner has a shiny metallic appearance. So unless you have it zipped up all the way to your neck, this shiny surface is visible. I'm not crazy about how that looks. Also the fleece liner, in my opinion, is not all that attractive by itself, compared to other Columbia interchange liners. But it's still a very nice coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this coat The Bugaboo 3 in 1 coat is excellent. Plus it has proven to keep me warm in the low winter temperatures. I would highly recommend this coat if you are looking to stay warm during the winter months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket Bought this for my husband for Christmas. It has been unusually cold this winter and he LOVES this jacket. Fits well and looks great on him!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Due to extreme cold weather forecast for this winter season, I purchased the Men’s Bugaboo Interchange Jacket for a family member as a gift. It is comfortable, stylish, and toasty warm! The design isn’t bulky and fits well in all configurations. Pockets are roomy and easily accessible. The breatheable waterproof outer shell sheds rain and moisture completely without trapping body heat and perspiration. It has been the perfect jacket for record setting cold weather this season.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really Warm I am 5ft 11in tall, slim guy and usually wear medium size tops. I usually never buy branded items and manage things frugally. I saw a $30 promotion reward when buying $130 or more. I bought the jacket for $122.50 after some discount auto-applied at the cart (bringing it down from $130). I had to add some random item to make it $130. It was the cheapest of the Interchange jacket but still over the maximum I was willing to spend. The jacket is really warm. The colour is vibrant. I bought the Phoenix blue. The outer jacket has a flap over the zip to keep water off from seeping inside. That is a good thing. But the flap has velcro - which is a bit annoying and can wear out. I would have liked to see some accented colours but it is okay. That is the best one can get in men's apparel. The hood also has some adjustments like velcro and drawstrings to custom fit it snug. The inner jacket with omni heat is much warmer than the regular Mountain Columbia fleece jacket. Inner jacket is more like a coat in terms of the fall and texture. The inner jacket does not have any crimps, or draw strings unlike the regular Columbia fleece jacket. The colour was mind blowing. Really vibrant but not gaudy turquoise blue. The zippers are thicker and wider to match the outer jacket. I miss the crimp on the sleeves sometimes, but the jacket length is such that you do not need a crimp or draw string at the edge to fold it inwards. I am frugal and don't tend to wear this by itself too often thinking it will wear out! But I did see inner jackets in Columbia stores unless they change the zippers. Overall satisfied but for the velcro flap over zippers of outer jacket. Price wise - cheapest among branded jackets. I still do think sometimes if for San Jose it was an overkill and if I should have bought a fleece jacket and a warm waterproof 'down' jacket (not rain jacket) - but then I can visit Tahoe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Outer Material Collects Everything I loved the look of this jacket. Received the black version and it fit wonderfully. I wear size Large and appreciate a little breathing room and this was perfect. Material on outer shell however collected every piece of dust, lint, fuzz, etc... So much so that within a hour or running some errands in it - the thing was covered. Looked like I had the jacket for 5 years instead of 2 days. Returning it. A lighter color may not have this problem as much but the outer shell is coarse, so it will pick up pretty much everything regardless of color. Very sad I have to find another coat. Looks and fit great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love love love this Jacket One of the best jackets I've ever purchased. Warm, water repellent and versatile. Haven't put it to the test on the slopes yet. Have a feeling it might be too warm when active. Did ok on a hike through Tahoe last year in the snow. Got a little warm towards the end.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love the three in one features Just got back from Blowing Rock North Carolina where it was 13 degrees that's cold for Southern boy but I stayed toasty warm in my coat. We spent the next day at the Biltmore walking the gardens that afternoon where I stayed warm again. The neat thing is when I get too warm I can always take off the shell and just wear the fleece. And when it rains I can I can just wear the shell or both. 100% waterproof. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm jacket, meant for REAL use, by REAL outdoor people This jacket is warm. It fits true to size (WHEW!). The colors are as presented in the color chart. This is a jacket meant for real outdoor use, it's not just a stylish jacket...it's made to keep a person warm when temperatures are very low.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket!! I have been wearing my jacket for about month now up here in frigid New England. It has been great keeping me warm in the 18° weather. I wish the sleeves were a little wider to accomadate extra layers but they still fit a sweatshirt lol. I would definitely recommend this jacket to anyone . A bunch of guys from work already hit up your store in Somerville, MA after seeing my jacket and talking about your great prices. Great quality with great prices!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Winter Jacket Great quality jacket. Inspected and took apart the jacket and noticed nice subtle features that show its high quality design. Features like cover flaps to hide zippers when the hood is detached, adjustable Velcro to modify hood size, little covers to hide zipper heads when the inner jacket is attached. Overall very pleased with the jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect jacket It has been some time since I bought a winter jacket, so I searched and compared many companies but decided on this one after much thought. The best features are the weight and breathability, I wanted a waterproof jacket that was warm and didn't leave me sweaty after extended use, and didn't cost $500 . This one has delivered this far, I live in North Georgia and so far this year we have only seen a week or two of 30-20° temps but last week we had the largest amount of snow fall in my life, 8" , laugh it up northerners but this gave me a great opportunity to test it out. Me and my 3 year old son played everyday for the extended weekend and the jacket kept me warm dry and not soaked. So far I'm extremely pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend this jacket

Date published: 2017-12-13
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice overall very nice, warm in the cold weather. The shell feels a bit synthetic, however the removable lining is comfortable and soft. the medium size feels slightly tight however the large would have been too large.
