OutDry™ Extreme is our first ever waterproof and breathable fabric technology constructed with a waterproof layer on the outside and soft, wicking fabric inside. Traditional raingear uses interior waterproof membranes which don't allow for air flow, and water-repellent coating that degrades over time. With OutDry™ Extreme, the rugged exterior is an incredibly water-tight membrane with millions of microscopic perforations that let water vapor escape through a wicking membrane directly fused to the shell.

The Titanium Outdry Ex Gold Tech shell is like breathable body armor with advanced evaporation and a fully seam-sealed construction featuring an attached, adjustable, helmet compatible hood. It also features underarm venting, a slightly dropped tail, adjustable cuffs and hem and a Light Rail zippers on the hand pockets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST EVER!! I absolutely LOVE this product!!!! I had been searching and searching for a rain jacket that didn’t need DWR and finally somebody created one. It couldnt be more perfect. Exactly what I expected and i couldnt be happier. PLEASE don’t ever stop making this product. And its made by Columbia- a company i already love! Even more so now. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awkward fit but great jacket Very, very waterproof jacket that hasn't let me down in 8+ hour days out in the rain. Only complaint is that the fit is a bit awkward, the body fits pretty narrow but the arms are massive on the size large I bought. Isn't too much of a problem but I have two other Columbia jackets that fit much more normally... Also I wish the under-arm zips had mesh or something when you opened them, instead of just a gaping hole. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sizing Inaccurate I originally ordered this jacket in size M pink. It came and it was so small I could not zipper it. I gave it to a friend and reordered a black in size L. It is too big--I have to roll the sleeves and could easily have four layers underneath. I kept it as I needed it for an upcoming bike trip. Just really do not understand how there could be such a huge difference in the two sizes. Also I have two other Columbia jackets and they are both mediums. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Women's outdry gold tech shell jacket This rain coat is the bomb! It's actually waterproof! Some rain coats say they are but they're not, but not this one - this one really is! I tested it a few times and I was dry as can be and it breathes too! I don't get wet from perspiration because this jacket does what it says and it breathes. Great jacket in my opinion - I recommend it for sure (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Water Proof!! I meant it this will stand up to rain going horizontal!, make sure you tighten all the open ends. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Protection No. 1 I really love how this (haute pink) shell protects you from the rain it truly is 100% wind and waterproof. I've purchased a few raincoats by different reputable companies only to suffer short sleeves or have the coat fall apart after 2 years. This one has quality stitching and flat seams throughout. I'm hoping this one stands up to the test! The sharp lines and pop of colour is an added bonus; it is flattering. If I had only one wish it would be that the shell was just a couple of inches longer in the back. But this Columbia shell will definitely be my go-to for spring summer and fall. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Returned it I wanted to like this jacket, but I returned it for three reasons. 1. I ordered the black, and it was not black. It was gray. It wasn't even "pale black." It was absolutely, positively gray. For those of us who prefer black, that doesn't work. 2. I wear XL because I like room, but this was like a tent, while being too short at the same time. I think Columbia's XL runs bigger than competitors'. In any case, it didn't look shapely when I tried it on like it did in the picture. 3. If it weren't for 1. and 2., I might have stuck with it, but as other reviewers have noted, it was very loud and crinkly. This OutDry technology might work better than the old way, but at a cost of texture and sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Women's OutDry Ex Gold Tech Shell Jacket I bought this jacket for myself, 5'7", 159 lbs. It's plenty roomy for layering, but I found the sleeves longer than I expected. The Velcro on the sleeve cuffs are adjustable, so I realized that on colder outings when I forgot gloves, I just let the sleeves down to protect my hands, and it was great! You are well protected from the elements with this shell, and the bright yellow color(stinger) is safe and easy to see, especially while walking the dog near the side of the road, or any sports activity that places you near busy streets. I Love this jacket, but I do think it is a little stiff and a little noisy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OutDry Jacket I love love LOVE this jacket, I have spilled so many things on this jacket in the two weeks I've had it and all of them have come out clean. I bought it without the Omni-heat technology yet it still keeps me relatively warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Newfoundland Rain Drizzle & Fog Purchased this for my Mom and she loves it in White. As she says, white is always the hardest clothing color to keep clean, but this material is very stain resilient. Easy to keep bright looking. She Loves it, and she says thanks Columbia. Made her feel young again :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Florida proof I work outside in the Florida during all seasons - which means hot and steamy. I also took this coat on a trip to SE Asia during the rainy season, so breathability without sacrificing water proofness was paramount. I really like this jacket. For me, it ran a bit large, and I should probably have returned for a smaller size, but didn't. In terms of functionality - the waterproof rating on this is great. And it's far more breathable than the plastic-y fabric would make you believe. I do agree with another reviewer that it's a bit loud, but for my uses, it's been great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from loud The idea is wonderful, breathable and guaranteed waterproof, but maybe they had to sacrifice softness in the fabric to achieve these characters? I so wanted to wear this jacket on my bike in the Portland rain but when I tested it out with the hood under the helmet, it was obnoxiously loud! Definitely louder than my Mountain Hardwear jacket, which doesn't breath well. It is cute, and I love everything else about it, though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Staying Dry and Comfortable in Portland Bought this jacket to prep for a rainy bike commute after just moving to Portland. After a full week of biking in the rain, I've stayed dry and comfortable with this shell. Pairing it with a lightweight puffer on colder mornings has been the perfect layering system. Runs a little small in the chest so if you've got some girls, size up!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks like you're wearing a garbage bag The pictures look far nicer. I got the black one. It really does look like you're wearing a garbage bag. Partly because it was so large, but also the color/material had the look of such. I normally take an XS, but after reading other reviews about this jacket running too small, I decided to get the S. It was HUGE on me! I'm about 5'4", 110 lbs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Runs small I had to return first order . Jacket does run small , the fabric seems thinner then should be . Clearly it's best to be able to buy in person if you can . Does not seem worth the money .
