Women's Carson Pass™ II Jacket - Plus Size is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bicycling coat I bought this jacket for my bicycle commute in Minnesota. It works great as a wind blocker and for keeping me warm. I like that is lightweight and when I'm not wearing my helmet, the hood is quite cozy. I am very happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Warm Waterproof Jacket Ever! I have been so happy with this jacket and how it is both warm and waterproof; perfect for the Pacific Northwest winters. The first big test for this jacket was when I wore it to an outdoor event in January in Portland where it rained hard on us for 90 minutes. I wore this jacket, rain pants, and waterproof boots and did not get wet or cold. Since then, we have had numerous cold, wet days and the jacket has been great. It looks dressier than typical winter jackets, so I can wear it to work and to events after work. I ordered a size larger than normal after reading reviews that said it would be good to do so, but I ended up returning that size and getting my normal size. I like how it's warm without a heavy feel to it. Keep up the good work, Columbia Sportswear!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mineshaft coat The coat runs a little small, however it's very warm. The faux fur unsnaps whenever I drape my purse across my shoulder. I was looking for a less bulkier coat because my job has me behind the wheel of my car every day. Otherwise a good buy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not very warm I had high hopes for this coat. It fits well and seems to be well-made. With the belt, it looks attractive. However, I find the belt more of a nuisance than anything else and usually don't wear it. There is some nice soft, warm fleecy material around the collar which feels good and warm around your neck when you zip it all the way up. I like the hood. It's not as heavy as most winter coats, so I don't feel weighed down when wearing it. I was concerned about the zipper because I often have trouble with them and I had read some other reviewers that the zipper was a problem, but it seems to be a good quality metal zipper and works. The only trouble I have with it is at the bottom when I unzip, it doesn't quite want to separate so that the coat opens. I have to jiggle it a bit. I've had the coat about a month now, and we've had some cold days here in Minnesota. This coat really hasn't been that warm. The reflective lining technology is supposed to use your body heat to keep you warm, but it really doesn't do much. My old Land's End Squall Parka is warmer than this coat. I was truly hoping for it to be warmer. It's adequate, but on cold days I am not completely warm and toasty in this coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bombshell coat I bought this coat last year in 2016 and have been wearing this coat everyday. It's nice and the blue color is not to light or dark. I've been getting many compliments on it. This is a coat not a jacket. I wear this with short sleeves and have been warm. I am definitely gonna order me another one so I can wash this one. Great coat and I recommend this to all the women. It's stylish and all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Winter Coat I bought this to wear in 20 degree and lower temperatures with snow. It was amazing! The Omni Heat really works.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Cold! Too big! Poor Functionality When this arrived I was stoked, I desperately needed a new coat after ten years of service from my old Columbia jacket. If I hadn't had any other option than this jacket after needing it during a freak foot of snow I would have returned it. After a thorough stress test I can attest to the following; Runs very large, I felt like I was wearing a belted dress that was still too loose than a jacket. I hate the rib knit cuffs, in a good soaking they get drenched and water just creeps up your wrists and it's the worst. It also results in itchy wrists when wet. This jacket is not warm, for all the hoopla. I find myself having to wear multiple sweaters with this jacket just to stay warm, which what is the point of the bulk? Pocket technology is also a dud here--they are kangaroo style pockets so if you want to keep your hands in your pockets, well again for a waterrproof jacket this is a Miss because , your hands just get soaked. All jackets should have pockets on the sides. It's 2016, we should have figured this out by now. Had I realized this jacket did not have side pockets I never would have purchased it. credit where it's due, a lovely color but in retrospect I wish I would have gotten it in white, wearing dark colors after dark isn't safe. This last gripe though is on me. Trying again for a positive--excluding the cut, size, lining material, pockets, ribbed cuff issue, this jacket is very well made.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from warm Bought this for my daughter who has to walk from a parking ramp a few blocks (in Minnesota). She wishes the coat was 5 inches longer or at least do not cut the scallop out of the side as the wind get up the side. The arms are much warmer than the omiheat that she had before

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect coat except!!!! The coat was perfect and it keeps me warm the only downfall is that the fur on the hood is very matted and it looks like a raccoons tail I've been told lol. But besides that I love it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Coat!! I bought this coat as a Christmas gift for my mother on Black Friday. I was very happy for the cost savings but was anxious buying online for obvious reasons (fit and appearance). She had complained that she couldn't find a decent looking coat for a larger, older woman. So, I ordered online and held my breath...she is very hard to please and had tried on some Columbia coats at an outlet (at my request to gauge the sizing):). She was not pleased when trying on coats in the store; the arms were too tight, didn't fit right, etc. but the online reviews led me to believe that this one just might be right for her. Her coat arrived and I held my breath in anticipation she would like it and she DID!! A BIG win for me to buy for my picky mother!! The arms were great (she has very large arms) and the fit was just right!! She loved it and I am a hero in her eyes!! She adores it and stays toasty outdoors. Very pleased with this coat for warmth, looks, and fit!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, functional coat I'm very happy with this coat. It has all the right pockets and zippers and is incredibly warm, yet lightweight. I find some of the Columbia fits are a bit snug for my apple shape, but this one has a standard plus size 1-3X fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CARSON PASS™ II Very comfortable! So warm, especially in the low 20 degrees. Great to pull up the hood and also have the jacket cover below your hips. Love, love that Omni heat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm yet not bulky I previously bought an Omni-heat lightweight jacket and was very impressed, so wanted to find a winter jacket with that product. I tried on many but most where very bulky. This coat is not, yet it is warm and has been "tested" in the sub zero cold and wind MN is currently experiencing. It is stylish, longer length so keeps me warmer, and I've received many compliments on it. The weight is comfortable and I can walk around a Mall with it unzipped and not roast to death. It does run small so I would suggest ordering the next size up. I highly recommend this coat!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great jacket!! I needed something warm other than a puffer jacket and so far the Omni heat & fleece hood are awesome. The fit is great in the arms, I find some to be to short, but the sleeves actually come right to the bottom of my wrist! Fit everywhere else is great. Belt is in perfect spot. Only problem is the faux fur trim. It looked Nothing short of a dead squirrel. It was Matted and flat out of the bag & even worse after a wash! Not close to the full fluffy picture. Pretty annoying for the price but was lucky I had another trim I could switch it with, I'd be embarrassed to wear with original trim. Other than that I Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Toasty, warm & hard wearing I bought this coat for my daughter who is up very early to feed the horses in West Virginia and let me tell you it can easily be 5 to 10 below. She needed something that would keep the wind, rain and cold out! But something that would allow her to move freely. This coat is all that an more. The Omni-Heat™ thermal reflective lining is amazing and she doesn't need to wear lots and lots of layers to keep warm. The design gives her the freedom of movement that she needs to look after the horses in the cold and wet! The coat is also breathable and so she doesn't get over heated! She loves it! Thank you for this quality product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from runs true to size based on reviews, I sized up to a 3X and it's way too big. I am an 18-20 with big arms, but the 3X is just too enormous even with a big sweater underneath. So this is going back and I'm ordering the 2X.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shoulders are shaped too round and runs large I received this coat and was disappointed in the size and shape, although I believe the quality to be excellent. I wear a size 2x-3x so I ordered the 3x, but it is too large for me. The bluebell color and the overall weight and quality of the jacket is impressive, but the shoulders are shaped a bit like Stretch Armstrong's, being that they are very rounded and the excess material there doesn't seem to be completely necessary. The jacket fits me well in the waist area, but the shoulders are way too roomy. I don't like the belt and think it would be too stiff for daily wear. On the other hand, the fake fur and the sherpa in the hood are very soft and comfy. I will be sad to send this one back due to the overall quality, but the shape isn't for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Moved to Colorado from Florida Needed a good coat to help my FL blood stay warm during these winter months. So far I am completely happy with this one. I stay warm while still being able to move around comfortably and also bend over and reach the ground with both hands. Its light weight but still cozy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Size The coat is great! Love that the hood is attached. The only problem for some who would buy a 1X thinking it will fit a sz18, it might not if you are a fuller 18. I'm a fuller 16, the fit is perfect. Not tight and not loose. Also, the coat looks thin, but the thermo-tech really works. Great Buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb coat If you're like me and read every review you can find on a product before ordering online then please don't second guess yourself about this one. This coat is beautiful, sporty and feminine. I usually wear between 1X to 2X in coats. I ordered the 2X and when I tried it on, it was as if it had been tailored for me. It's quite roomy without looking frumpy. I'm 5'3" and it falls below my behind and also has a two-way zipper which I love. There are pockets hidden inside and storm cuffs with a nice hood which you can tie back. I ordered the black and it's more of a charcoal color but it makes it look richer. It certainly isn't cheap but worth every penny in my view.
