Too small
I generally wear 7.5-8 and purchased these in an 8 and they were very tight and I had thin socks on. I’m going to return and order half a size larger.

as comfortable as sneakers
My last Columbia boots were super comfortable and long lasting but I still looked around quite a bit just to be sure I wanted to stay with Columbia. One salesman told me I was looking for "comfort like sneakers," and "you won't find those in a boot." But I went to the Columbia NYC store in hopes he was wrong, and found these. Waterproof, well-cushioned, and cute. The taller ones are similar but I opted for the shorty in the city. Not at all clunky like some competitors, even though I wear a 10. I rarely write reviews but wanted to send this because they're such a good find.

Love these boots!
I am so happy with these boots! Out of the box flexible and comfortable. I normally wear a 9 but ordered a 10 and they are perfect. Just enough room for a thick pair of socks. Like wearing super comfortable walking shoes, are toasty warm and good grippy soles on packed snow and ice. Comfort was rate just a tad lower - could use better arch supports. Perfect to slip on for walks and running errands. Great job, Columbia!

BEAUTIFUL STYLISH BOOTS BUT GET A SIZE BIGGER!
I purchased these boots in Nori/Daredevil color and it is a beautiful olive green. Love the laces! It does run small as I read from reviews, there for I purchased a size bigger. I am normally a size 8 in pretty much everything footwear but purchased a size 9 for the minx shorty III. It fits perfect with my boot socks and keeps my feet warm. Highly recommend these shoes, but SIZE UP!!!

Great and Lightweight
I purchased these boots a year ago for a winter trip to Iceland and they have held up very well. Made it all over the snow and glaciers without my feet getting cold or wet. I'm now using them to trudge through the slush and snow in Canada and am happy to say that my feet are, so far, staying dry and warm. The boots do run small, and I had to return my original pair for a set that was a half-size larger than my usual. (Originally ordered 7.5, 8 fit nicely.)

Feel like Slippers on!
Love them! I typically wear an 8 and ordered a 9 due to the reviews that they run small. The 9 fits great with one pair of good winter wool socks. They literally feel like I'm wearing my slippers out of the house. I'm ordering the tall ones in a different color for Christmas to be from my hubby.

NOT WATERPROOF
I'm so disappointed. Last year I bought Royal Canadian winter boots that had a little tag on the boot that said "waterproof". I wore them throughout the winter and they were definitely not waterproof. I had to get new boots this year and thought Columbia was a reliable brand. The boot has "waterproof" stitched on it. I thought for sure this one is the winner. I wore them for our first snowfall and they were so warm and comfortable but came back with wet socks. I gave them another shot yesterday and my socks were wet. I'm so disappointed. why can brands advertise as waterproof when they clearly are not?!

Not warm enough, or slip resistant for Wisconsin winters
I love how these boots feel and look. They are very comfortable. They do not feel very warm and I didn't feel like the tread was enough to prevent a fall.
I'm glad I got a 1/2 size larger so I can wear thick socks.

Way too good :)
These boots are incredibly comfortable and warm. I live in Indiana (very bad, cold winter), and going out in the freezing, snowy weather is such a dreadful thing. These boots are really suitable for trudging through the snow (waterproof) or stepping on slippery ice. It's also very good at keeping your feet warm. All in all totally recommend!

Exactly what I was looking for!
I needed a pair of winter boots that could serve as both boots for playing outside / shoveling snow as well as walks outdoor in the cold. These are perfect! They are sleek and not overly bulky, making them easy to walk around in. They have the comfort of a tennis shoe, with the warmth that comes with a boot...and they are waterproof! I typically wear a size 7 athletic shoe, and I purchased a size 7 in this boot. If I wear a thin pair of socks they fit perfect. If you like to wear thick socks or double up on socks, consider sizing up.

Bought these for my daughter who loves being outside in the cold. She loves these boots, warm, comfortable, and not big and clunky. I did follow some reviews and ordered a size up, it was a good decision. Now I’d really like a pair for myself!

Great snow boot
We got 8 inches of snow the day I got my boots. Wore them for hours, no wet got in and my feet were toasty warm. I wear size 8 and they were just right with a pair of regular socks. Happy with my purchase!

Great boots *RUN VERY SMALL*
Just exchanged the Ice Maiden II for these and I fell in love. They're comfortable and fuzzy on the inside, fashionable, and supposed to be great for harsh midwest winters. I will note that I am an 8 and the REI employees advised me to size up a full size. I'm glad I did. The 9 is very comfortable; the 8.5 was tight. Size up a full size. Great boot.

Warm, but size runs so small
Haven’t worn these out and about yet, but they are very warm. Not very supportive; more like a well-treaded slipper, so walking a long while in them may not go well, TBD. But they do run very, very small. I’m an 8.5 in most brands; I have 8.5 Merrell hiking boots that I wear with hiking socks without issue. Ordered these in an 8.5, and they were way to small. Had to go up to a 9.5 to get them to fit with just the thin everyday socks I had on. I’ve never worn a 9.5 in any brand. Not sure what’s up there; according to the size chart, these should be comparable to Merrells. All that is to say, try them on in store if you can before buying, or prepare to perhaps need an exchange.

Warm, Dry, Happy Feet
Brought as the one and only footwear for a outdoor trek to Northern New Mexico,
where it was colder than I expected (18 degrees F at night)
Very Happy with the boots - I had warm feet when I had to leave the warmth of my bedding to outside for the latrine.
There was some snow, some marshy areas, my feet stayed dry.
I believe the boots run small - I took a size over my normal shoe size.

Would give a 5 if not for incorrect sizing
I love everything about these boots, only downside is it took me ordering and returning them 3 times to get the right size, in my experience they run a full size small. I almost always wear a 9, occasionally an 8.5, and ended up with a 10 in these -- and that's not even really leaving room for thick socks.
With that said, I LOVE the blue color, they weigh essentially nothing compared to most boots, and they feel like wearing tennis shoes. They're a bit narrow which I like, I feel like so many snow boots are like wearing moon boots. Highly recommend, just order a size up!

Keeps your feet very warm
I haven’t had a chance to test out how waterproof these are since it hasn’t snowed yet, but I have worn them twice in some frigid weather and can truly say my feet were the warmest part of my body on those days. The insulation/omniheat combo is awesome. Based on other reviews I ordered a size up and they fit great with regular-slightly thicker socks. They also have some great cushioning in the sole. I have already verbally recommended these boots to many people, love them!

Comfortable
I am usually a size 8 or 8.5 in shoes and after reading the reviews I decided to go with a size 9 since I would also be wearing thick socks with these. They fit perfect! They are very comfortable, almost feel bouncy when I walk since it is well padded. They have good grip. Just got them so I will have to see how they are in cold weather and snow but very happy.

Comfort Game
I am always looking for shoes that are comfortable for walking, and it has been a challenge to find a comfortable walking boot that is also warm, and looks good with jeans or leggings. These fit the bill. I am in love with Columbia's Omni Technology, owning 2 jackets and gloves already. I'm so pleased with these boots, wore them for the first snowfall in Chicago on 10/31. Thanks Columbia for always living up to my expectations!

Decent comfort
Good fit, very comfy, and good flex.
DO NOT RECCOMENT FOR HARD SNOW CONDITIONS.
The boots I bought were not water proof. I got 5 hours of use and the first 3 they got my feet wet. The toes on both boots took on water.
Wear if it is cold out only.

Slippers with soles.
Really love these boots! Definitely run small, though. I normally wear a 9/9.5 in this brand, but the 10 fits me like a 9. Can't speak on how they do in water/snow, but that is not what I bought them for. They feel like slippers with soles. Very comfy and stylish. My new go-to city boot. Perhaps not a good option if you need a lot of arc support. I won't be using these in the -25 degree range that they are rated to, but I question if they would be comfortable when it drops that low. Perfect for a Denver winter, though.

Comfortable, Waterproof, great for winter hikes!
I bought these for winter hiking/ walking with my dog. I live in the PNW, so we don't get much snow, but waterproofing was a must. These work fantastic! They're so comfortable that feel like slippers and provide great support and traction on mud, ice and wet or frozen terrain. There was no break in period. I normally wear a 9, but bought a 9.5 which for better with the fur lining and winter socks.

Comfort, Lightweight, Stylish!
If you were ever on the fence on getting these, especially if you’ve been looking at them online.. please just take my word for it and grab these boots before they’re gone! I can’t tell you how LIGHTWEIGHT and COMFORTABLE the Columbia Minx Shorty III Boots are! They do run small, so you might have to go up a half or even a whole size.. but that’ll give you enough room for your feet to be cozy. And this is coming from a women who is wide-footed. You can wear normal socks with these boots because the faux fur lining inside keep your feet warm and dry, (not to mention how stylish the faux fur is peaking up at the top of the boots). These were helpful during the winter when going out to run errands and wrangling the kids during snow days, my feet were always comfortable and never hurt, even though having worn them for hours on end. The top of the boots hit mid-calf and did not restrict movement around my ankles like some heavy winter boots do. If Comfort, Lightweight and Stylish is what you look for in a boot, look no further!

Just got these in black, tried them on at home and I am very happy with this purchase. I got the shorty boot. It's very comfortable and I love the way they look. Still have to try them out on the next Polar Vertex to see if they stand out in the cold. But so far, its a great looking boot and I'm looking to purchase the MID too in different color.

Not waterproof!
They're cute as heck. The tractions is awesome. My feet were always warm (I live in Alaska). I didn't need anytime to break them in. But they are NOT waterproof, and that upsets me to no end. The photos probably don't even show how soaked they are (nor will my Columbia socks), but it's ridiculous.

Good snow boots
These are very comfortable, and warm. I bought them for winter hikes, and I think they'll be great in the snow. I did slip a little going down my ice-coated stairs, so I will not be using them for ice again.
I usually wear a 6.5-7, and got a 7.5. They're perfect.

Love the color!
I bought these as an addition to my snow boot collection, wanting something that was shorter and lighter for walking. Just returned from a snowy vacation in Leavenworth WA. Walked everywhere in these boots. My feet never got cold, and they were very comfortable for miles of walking. I bought my normal size and was able to wear wool socks with no problem. Even stepping in puddles and walking through snowbanks I my feet were never wet!

Warm but not Waterproof
I bought these for a January trip to Yellowstone. I liked the rating down to -25F and waterproofing. When dry, these kept my feet warm with the right socks. Walking a quarter mile on some snowy boardwalks (mostly packed snow) was just enough for my socks to start getting wet. The materials are waterproof but the seams are not. Thankfully I was prepared for that possibility and had ziplock bags to put my feet in for the rest of the trip. It got down to about 0F while I was there and with the ziplocks, I stayed comfortable.

Lightweight, but warm boots
These are great boots for the purpose I needed them. I traveled to the Arctic Circle. I needed lightweight boots that were warm, and these definitely fit the bill. Light enough and short enough to pack in the carry on. These are not tall boots, but they are exactly what I needed. My feet were not cold in the sub-zero weather and I walked quite a bit!

Stayed warm and dry in Alberta CA
I did lots of hiking in Alberta Canada (Lake Louise/ Icefields Pkwy/ Banff) in the beginning of January. Wasn't sure how well these would keep my feet warm as my extremities get very cold in the outdoor winters. I bought them online at a great price, and after getting them, I did speak with an REI rep. on the phone asking her about these (very helpful and nice). She said they should be perfect for what I needed. They were. The wind chill temps were sometimes in the -8 to -11 range, and I was mostly hiking in lightly packed snow. They worked great, stayed warm, dry and great on traction (though I wasn't on ice and the 1 time it was very packed snow and slippery, I wore ice cleats over them). I will say this, I wore wool ski socks, but the 1 time I wore my REI wool hiking socks, my toes got freezing. But I think that was because they were a little too tight in the boots and might have compressed my toes..... less is more. The only thing I wish they had was better arch and ankle support, but still very pleased. I bought 1/2 size bigger.
