A jacket worth the money! I have always liked and respected the Columbia line and I was not disappointed with this item. The form, fit and function are of the best quality, the waterproof zippers function extremely well, and it takes little effort to change from layer to layer. Each layer can be used as a stand alone item or as an ensemble, easily and perfectly. I use it as a primary jacket for moderate weather forces. Rain sheds well, but as the tag says, it is not a waterPROOF jacket, it is a water resistant one and that it does very well. Awesome Shell I just got this jacket and can't brag enough. Let's start with Columbias excellent customer service. % years ago I purchased a shell and used it 3 years. I broke the armpit zipper. I contacted Columbia and they had me ship it in-free replacement :). I got a peak to peak and wore the heck out of it last year and this fall. I was skiing at the end of Jan./2012 and caught my sleeve on something and tore the shoulder/arm seam. I thought I was out of luck. Customer service told me to send it in to see if it would be warrantied. I did and to my suprise they covered me. They gave me full credit towards a new jacket. I would have had to wait until April for a ner P2P jacket so I opted for the Fast Three. Turn around from when I sent it to being back in my hands- 2 weeks.Was I ever glad I didn't wait. This shell fits great. With 4 exterior pockets and the inner pocket are choice for all your gear. Hood fits over my ski helmet no problem. I was out last week skiing and felt no moister or wind. This coat rocks. I would definitely reccomend this shell to anyone,along with Columbias excellet customer service it's a deal to good to pass by. February 15, 2012
NOT Waterproof I bought this jacket because I live in the Great NorthWet and needed a waterproof jacket that would allow me to stay dry while out in the rain for extended periods. This is not that jacket. I was hiking in the rain for about an hour and my phone and wallet, both in inside pockets got wet, not damp, wet. This jacket works OK in a light rain of short duration, however the outside pockets still allow the contents to get wet. I've always been a fan of Columbia Sportwear products but this one, using OmniTech, was a real disappointment. January 21, 2012
Not warm enough . When I where this shell in 30 degree temp. I feel cold. It does not keep me warm enough .I have to wear an extra layer to stay warm. January 17, 2012
Fast Three Shell Great shell, it does everything that you could ask for. The hood has a nice fit that keeps the weather out and still allows great vision. The zippers are a little stiff but that what you get with a waterproof zipper. January 16, 2012

Exceptional I wore this jacket for the first time on a snowshoeing trip to the Tilly Jane cabin on the East side of Mt. Hood. The conditions got fairly bad and I feel completely warm in this jacket during the trek. The next night we actually all laid in the snow to check out the stars and I was the only one not getting cold. Excellent jacket, very impressed! November 22, 2011
