AMAZING SHIRT
Bought this shirt as a hiking shirt because I live in FL. It is truly amazing! I don't even feel like I'm wearing a shirt because it is so light and comfortable. I want to wear it everyday, but my girlfriend forbids me. I will definitely be getting a couple more of these. Thanks Columbia for a great product!

Great Shirt
I bought this shirt in black and love it. Works good for traveling, hiking and casual evening dress particularly with washed out jeans and khaki pants. The shirt is very comfortable, easy to wash and quick drying without wrinkling (no iron required). I'm a classic medium size weighing 145 lbs, 32" waist and 5'10" height. While the medium size works I've found that a small size fits perfectly without as much "hang" in the back if I wear the shirt untucked.

Silver Ridge™ II
I bought shirts previously from Columbia this style; shirt is very lightweight and comfortable. Only disappointment is that one sleeve was missing a button. I cannot return it from where I'm at so luckily a spare button is located on the inside shirt tail.

The Swiss Army Knife of Shirts
In a word - brilliant! I have several of these shirts and they are a staple of my wardrobe. Easy to care for - just wash and hang - perfect for someone like me who is on the go and hates to iron. I use them for travel and outdoor but also as casual wear under a jacket or sweater - with jeans or slacks. They are lightweight, pack and compress easily and tend not to wrinkle.
I have worn them in all seasons and they have stood up well to almost daily use. They work well in the heat and provide plenty of ventilation. The vented back allows for full movement. The roll up sleeve tabs are a great feature.
If I had one shirt, this would be it!
Just one thing I would like to see to add to the versatility, since I use these all the time in many different situations - some pastel colors.
This is one of those products you hope is never discontinued.

My Favorite shirt
After I bought the first one on a trip from Illinois to Florida I found myself looking in every store along the I75 corridor that might sell Columbia sportswear to find another. Now I own 4 and will probably get a few more. It's comfortable on a long drive and looks fantastic, great for Fishing, hiking or even at the office.

New favorite shirts
First, these definitely run big, I normally wear large shirts and they are a little loose and comfortable. I was swimming in a large version of this. Sent back the large, and ordered two of them in medium after seeing the quality of the shirt. Super comfy, extremely lightweight and cool, but also keeps you warm if needed. Great styling and fit (in the right size). I can wear these for hiking, kayaking, fishing, but also out on the town for the night.

My favorite shirts
I bought my first Silver Ridge at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary several years ago and now have 7 of them. They are so lightweight that I hardly know I have them on, and I even wear them at work in the library in the winter. Normally I wear an XL, but because of my shoulders and liking a loose fit, I buy 2XL in these shirts which fits great and gives me plenty of room to move. They are cut long enough that the sides don't pull out when I move like other shirts do nor are they abrasive. Having the pockets with the velcro tabs is also nice as is the ability to roll up the sleeves if needed. The neck is loose enough for me to button to help prevent sunburn on my sensitive sking. I love the shirts and have never found anything comparable for hiking or working.

Unparalleled performance
I knew this was a great product but had no idea how great until I took it through 4 different climates in 2 weeks. By itself with the sleeves up it is loose, comfortable, keeps you cool, and does not get wet. Roll the sleeves down and all of a sudden (can't figure out why) you are nice and toasty warm. Put a t-shirt on underneath and it works great as a 2nd layer on a cold day. This is how I started 1 leg of the journey. Later dumped the Silver Ridge and kept the t-shirt as the temp rose into the 80's. Jumped on a riverboat doing 30 knots and re-donned the Silver Ridge with sleeves down to cut the wind and keep me warm while everyone else was shivering. Layered 1 long- and 1 short-sleeve tee underneath with the sleeves down

Great Travel Shirt
Packed this shirt on three week trip to Europe this summer. Washed it in hotel sinks in the evenings and let drip dry in shower over night. It dried quickly and looked great with out any ironing. This is definitely a keeper for long trips.

Perfect shirt for the coast!
I took this shirt camping on the Oregon Coast in August. It rained a little while I was fishing, and I was totally dry and very warm. And I also took a few hikes along the beach and through the sand dunes which meant lots of very cold wind. This shirt stood up and kept my torso warm, I even started to sweat but I didn't get nasty and soaked. The shirt performed very well in every way it is advertised for, plus it looks very nice and I even use it for a work shirt.

Great casual and activity shirt
This is a great shirt for all occasions. Looks and feels great and is easy to pack for travel. Price may be a little steep but the quality is worth it. Highly recommended.

Don't have any fears buying this shirt!
The fit was beyond amazing. The texture of the materials over the body is just fantastic!. I use this shirt for my field work at very hot and humid environment (Costa Rica) and performs on every aspect: ample pockets, keeps me cool, and when wet, you don't feel it. Dries fast.....
I just bought 3 and planning for 3 more.

Silver Ridge II
Excellent expedition shirt. Cool in jungle climates. Will dry quickly. Comfortable nylon. doesn't wrinkle, looks good after a long hike or a wet dunking. Works well carrying a heavy pack or meeting an official.

Great shirt.
I have a collection of this Columbia shirt, several in most colors. They are comfortable, drape well, have handy easy to access pockets, and dry fast. I lead outdoor nature photography tours for a living and recommend this shirt to my clients. The manufacturer could save money by eliminating the inner strap inside the sleeve to hold up a rolled sleeve, as the sleeve stays rolled up nicely without it. I also cut out the hanging loop on the neck as I have camera straps and binocular straps riding there and it is a source of abrasion. These shirts are amazing in that the fabric never pills or fades. Eco friendly as they dry in a jiffy in the dryer
