Great shorts
These shorts are great. They provide great comfort and are very useful for guys ho like the cargo short style. The only down fall is the pockets may be a little to far forward on the shorts. If you're used to putting your bill fold in your cargo pocket then these may cause a little discomfort. If you put smaller things in the cargo pocket you will be fine.

These shorts are very good
I really like these shorts. They fit well. The length is perfect for my short legs-the hem is above and away from my knees. The waist buttons were loosely sewed, but 5 minutes with needle and thread took care of the problem. I would not hesitate to order more in the future.

This product is tough
I own 6 pair of this product in 2 colors. Their worn for hiking, fishing, everyday household chores, running around town taking care of erands, sporting events and socializing at outdoor barbeque get-togethers.
It's safe to say I live in them spring, summer and fall.

fits so good...
I really like these shorts and I've purchased them in the past, so I knew exactly what I was dealing with from the start. Not being overly tall, these brewhas really fit on the length compared to a cargo short. I have a slight belly (i'm working on it) and there's no substitute for the comfortable elastic waistband. I like them so much i bought two colors!

Men’s Brewha Shorts to replace my favorite oldies
Bought a new pair of Brewha Shorts to replace the ones I have worn for many years. They were also a pair of Columbia shorts that were comfortable and durable and lasted well beyond average wear.
The new shorts are comfortable and identical to the old ones except for color. Lots of pocket room to carry all my essential stuff: pen, handkerchief, small clock, knife, notepad, magnifying glass, and assorted gum, chocolate and miscellaneous items.
Highly recommend these shorts and expect to enjoy them for many years to come.

Same great shorts!
I had a pair of these shorts for years and loved them. They finally just plain wore out. The tag was still in it and just ordered the same ones.
They fit great. While they only have one back pocket, it's not a big deal. The front pockets hold everything you need. They are plenty rugged but stay cool. South Florida heat and salt spray don't faze them. This pair was a bit more green than it appeared on the screen but they still look good and a tad more classy than my last.

Only shorts I will wear.
I'm a little short legged and these are just the right length! They wash and wear without ironing. Have several pair that I have had for many years.

Good design, inadequate length
Ordered product on-line ... was VERY disappointed when received. Good looking shorts, stylish design, great pockets etc but the leg length is much TOO SHORT!
I wish Columbia made these shorts with a 10", 11" or 12" leg length.

Fabric was great and the fit was good.
Shorts were too short. Trying to find the Columbia shorts we bought last Year(111 XM 4662). (110 XM 4662) Can't find them anywhere. If you know how I can locate them, Please advise.

Great Product
I love these shorts. They are comfortable and have all intelligent pockets as I called them .
I have all colors and 2 set of ea. One for day wear and work around the house and the other to go out w friends movie , eat etc.
I have a complain.....NEED MORE COLORS......:)

Best shorts ever!!
I seem to have a hard time finding shorts that fit me in length. I like my shorts to come above the knee, and that is hard to find a comfortable pair of shorts with the right length on them. These are perfect, and Columbia is the only brand that fits me perfectly. I am a big kayaking and camping fan, and these shorts perform better than any other pair I own. The price is just a little bit more than I like to pay for shorts, but I absolutely think they are worth every penny of what I paid. 2 Thumbs up!!!

Not the old Cliff Lakes
I purchased these shorts as a replacement to the Cliff Lakes short. Basically the same short with one major exception... they removed 1 back pocket and now there is only 1. Of course the 1 is on the left side and I'm used to carrying my wallet on the right.
Otherwise, fit is good, quality can't be beat. Elastic in waste band if perfect for those hot days when your shorts just won't stay up.

Nice but not Cliff Lakes
I have been buying Columbia shorts for a very long time and wear them year round with only a few days a year I wear anything else. My standby shorts have been the Cliff Lakes and whatever was before them (Klamaths???). Very durable, billow pockets, single velcro closure, pockets in back, etc. THOSE shorts are much better for my purposes and I am extremely sad I will have to find another vendor to get something similar. THOSE shorts were heavier and had more carrying capacity. The Brewha's are nice, fit well, but I do not like the pull cord and trying to get things into the pockets with that setup. The pockets are not as full - so don't hold as much. They are not as thick as the Cliffs so I expect to wear thru them more rapidly - or rip them on a rock. I will use these only for show and not for function, which is fishing, hiking, birding etc. I still give them high marks because they appear to be nicely made and they do fit well. I may change my rating depending on how well they wear over the next year. Currently I have 4 pair of Brewha and 8 pair of very worn Cliffs.

Great shorts make great men
I like shorts with a hem that is further up than most makers of men's shorts provide. When the sorts extend to just above the knee, as do most men's shorts, they hang up when I sit. The brewha shorts are just right. I do question the zip pocket on the left back of the pants, since like most men, I am right handed and it is inconvenient to put my wallet on the left side (there is no right side back pocket). This is a minor consideration, however. Overall, the shorts are perfect for my needs. They are rugged, baggy enough to vent, and super comfortable. Shorter than I anticipated...
...yeah, you know those movies with the older hikers and they have shorts that seem like they only come not even halfway down the thigh? That's these. Was hoping they'd be a bit longer... quite a bit longer, actually.
Only bought it because of a promotion from my credit union and I needed some new clothes, and as a trial... it didn't pass.

Love 'em
Columbia shorts fit me better than any other brand. Thank goodness these have the button closure system. Won't buy a pair with snaps, because they never stay snapped. Anyway, these are functional and comfortable for those who spend a great deal of time outdoors.

Favorite shorts
I have a lot of this style shorts. These are my favorite for comfort, fit and function. I like the elastic waistband, belt loops, the pockets (there's one zippered and one elastic pocket in back). When my previous pair wore out after a few years, I specifically sought these out and bought two more. I hope these are manufactured for a long time to come.

Great Shorts
My husband wears a 37-38 and we ordered these in an XL based on other brands being a 38-40 and they were huge! We reordered in a Large and they fit perfect. He loves these shorts and we ordered 2 pairs. The return was easy. We called the company to ask about sizing (as the internet site would not access the size chart) and they graciously said they would pay for the shipping of the Large size pair of shorts! They are so easy to deal with and would recommend them and these shorts very much!!

Almost Perfect
in search of better hiking shorts - cotton, button closure, elastic waist, security pocket (zip) and Velcro flap pockets - I found this item disguised as "fishing" shorts. The only thing I'd change is put the outer flap pockets on the sides, not front of the leg. Otherwise, love 'em.

I've found the perfect pair of shorts
These shorts are ideal for me. The length and waist perfect for me. The loops make it easy to open the flap pockets. The right rear pocket is just right for my iPhone. I have three pairs and wear them practically all year long.

The Ultimate Short

Just About Perfect
Great looking and great fitting shorts. I don't fish, but I wear these all the time unless it gets really cold. My only knock is that the pocket is on the wrong side if you're right handed and keep your wallet in your back pocket.

Dad's shorts
My father was hinting around that he wanted a new pair of shorts, but couldn't find a pair except the ones that go past his knees and half way down his calf. He's also wanted cargo pockets, being an engineer by trade... Anyway, I found him these and he loves them! They fit his spec's, good fit, right color and plenty of pockets. The only think he wasn't crazy about was the right rear pocket wasn't a traditional pocket with a flap and button. Other than that he was completely satisfied.

Best Casual Shorts Out There. Period.
I bought 2 pair of these locally about 3 years ago and those finally started to fray at the bottom of the shorts. Decided to get 3 more pair just in time for my vacation and they simply do not disappoint. Easily the best shorts for the beach, fishing or just around the house - pockets make great kid trash catchers.

Bets of the Columbia Shorts
I own several different styles of Columbia shorts (except the Blood and Guts). These (the Brewha) have a more natural and relaxed feel right from the time of opening the package. The length and waiste are perfect, pockets galore although I would like and extra pocket on the backside right. Otherwise, when the colors expand, I WILL be purchasing more.

Fit fine
My husband wears columbia shorts and has gotten them for years at Kohl's but they no longer carry them. The shorts we just bought are not the same ones he always got but they are ok.. but not 2 pair for $80.00. That was a little steep. we will continue to search for his kind.

Fit women
Several yrs ago I bought a pr of cargo shorts for my husband.They didn't fit him or my son.I was going to return them however one day in a hurry I grabbed them and put them on. A little large but very comfortable and I loved all the pockets.The waist rests on my hips and a belt makes them a good fit. I have a very short torso,no waist,flat butt,long legs and womens' don't fit well.WXL too tight.Mens lge is a bit loose in legs and I need a belt but otherwise they are fine.

Zipper on rear pocket
Zippered left rear pocket makes it almost impossible to easily get my wallet (normal size) out of the pocket. Poor design!!!

The best all around short Columbia sells
Like some of the other reviewers here I was trying to find replacement shorts for the thicker more durable version that I bought like 8 years ago (so impressed they lasted that long given I wore them all the time). This is the closest model they have. I tried the Bonehead and the Half Moon as well. I am keeping one pair of the Bonehead but they do fit a bit tighter than the Brewha. The Half Moon is getting returned (don't like the mesh front pockets). The Brewha is the best style wise too. Looks good at the mall or 1,000 miles away from it. If you're the replacement short buyer, buy it in every color. I still want Columbia to make the older style people here seem to want, even if it is with the newer fabrics.

Good Job!
I was disappointed that you didn't have ROC shorts anymore, so I thought these might be the same thing as ROC's with an upgrade. Y'all outdid yourself! These are more comfortable and roomie and became my new favorite shorts within the hour.
I wasn't crazy about the elastic waistband when they came out of the box, but I love the comfort. Now I fit right in with my 5 year old grandsons. Could this be the newest in anti-sag technology? ;)

poor design
I did not like this style. the short is too short and flares out a little. also, when wearing it, it looks like I have the pants backward. overall, very disatisfied with the look. since it was cheap, I think i will use it when cutting grass or other utility works when i don't want to mess up good pants.

Found the at last
Picked up a pair of these a few years back and found them to be the most comfortable shorts i've owned. Tried to find more but had to settle for other brands that did not fit or funtion as well as these. Now i found where to get them from i ordered more than 1 pair so i now have years of supply. Men's Brewha Shorts
In short (haha) I love them but my only sadness is that I bought two pair to replace older similar Columbia brand shorts and they were made of a thicker more durable cotton. I am afraid that these won't last as long. I can't even remember how many years I have had the other shorts and I wear them all the time trough out the summer!
