Men’s Hexaholic™ Down Jacket 4.5 5 21 21
Cool Coat This product is amazing. I’m a United States Marine station in Quantico Virginia. I bought this Jacket to mitigate the brisk fall and winter season. Recently, we had some chilly morning here in Virginia and I had to dawn my Hexaholic jacket. Immediately, I noticed the high quality of the jacket. It kept me so warm; I had to take it off to cool down. Furthermore, it fits great. I’m 6ft 5in tall and it fits like a glove. Great product. September 20, 2012

To Hard to Explain Although I bought this jacket a litttle late to give it an extensive review, this is what I have to say. It has gotten warmer now, so will not have a chance to test it completley, against the brutal cold her in North Carolina, whre the weather is insane. I have no doubt that it will hold up to the expectations that I have for it. Just putting it on was an experience. I became so warm that I had to take it off. I have previously bought the Shiver me Timbers jacket from Columbia that is better than the winter jacket that I had held on to for 7 years, without the bulk. This little light jacket kept me warm almost as much as my former jacket. I am 5'8 and about 175 pounds and run cold, especially in the Winter. I had the experience of wearing it in low 40 degree weather, with rain and wind and it was incredible. I have also bought a host of other clothing including the Fast Track Omni Heat cap, three fleece vests for my wife, and have been happy with the quality of their products. They are excellent in design, quality and they look great. I am looking forward to the winter, so that I can try my Hexaholic out! I have no doubt that it will meet all of my expectaions. Their service is excellent, they are friendly, and stand behind their products. Returns are easy even to the point of wearing their prodcuts our for testing. Thay have no problem taking back their clothing as long as you don't abuse it. I Will continue to buy all my clothing from Columbia, especially for the winter months. Orerall I consider them a one stop shop, for all you gear! May 13, 2012
Hexaholic Great jacket, the only problem is that the hood doesn't exactly fit so close to my head. It has a tendency to stay really far back even with the elastic pulls pulled tightly. Be careful when you buy the jacket because the colors that they have pictured on the zippers don't actually come like that. I ordered the black and grey with the orange zippers and none of the zippers are orange, apparently it was a picture flaw! Be aware... January 31, 2012
Warm AND Stylish I love this jacket. I'd been looking high and low for a quilted jacket that would satisfy both my functional and (minimal) style requirements. This does both. The first time I used it was skiing last week on Mt. Hood. It was clear, but very, very cold and windy. With just a fleece vest and a base layer underneath it, I was quite comfortable. It's got a ton of pocket space including a mesh internal cargo pocket with a big opening. My ONLY complaint is that I wish there were a way to roll and stow the hood when it's not in use. January 19, 2012
my new jacket This is the lightest, warmest jacket I,ve ever owned. I've been skiing at -20 and was warm as toast. I highly recomend this jackiet. January 17, 2012
Not what I was expecting I wanted a good warm down jacket for winter time. After an extended research on the Internet I bought the Columbia Hexaholic jacket based on the good reviews it had. This is a light slim well build jacket and a very good looking one. I took it on me for about two weeks or so but only when driving to the office and short outside pauses and it felt warm enough. But... today I went in the park for a 1 hour evening walk. There were 3 degrees Celsius outside, as my car indicated. No wind was blowing. I was wearing a long sleeve cotton t-shirt, a medium thicked sweater and the jacket. I was freezing all the time. I could not believe this. I was expecting steaming coming out from my jacket with all this technology it incorporates. But no, I was cold. It felt particulary cold in the elbows zone, along the sleeves and around the neck though the zipper was fully pulled. It was like a felt the cold through the stitches. I just thought about that, maybe I was wearing something wrong, maybe I was underdressed. But I dress like this all the time, with other jackets, and I never felt this kind of cold along my arms. So, my conclusion is that this is light jacket for over 5 degrees celsius temperature. No way you should spend even a medium cold winter in this jacket, maybe only if you wear multiple layers under it or if you have an intense activity to generate heat. And as I write this I realise that the hexagonal stitches are the main issue to not be able to resist cold: they generate too much stitched surface and less insulated surface. Practically, you get islands of down insulated areas surounded by lots of doubled stitches where there is no down and no protection. And you can feel this. The hexagon may be a force of nature in terms of resistance and minimum consumed material but this has nothing to do with designing a jacket where it generates longer stitched lines than the square, as Pythagora teached us. I now have to look for another winter jacket to buy. This time it will be a havy one. January 15, 2012
Husbands Gift This is a very nice down jacket. I gave it to my husband for Christmas. I was a bit surprised that the hood is not removable but he doesn't seem to mind. The zipper does not open up from the bottom either, which again my husband doesn't mind. He said that the coat fits well, even w/o a 2 way zipper, doesn't bother him when he sits. The jacket is warm and light weight and comfortable. I'm glad he likes it!!!Now we'll see if it makes him ski faster. :) January 13, 2012
Great purchase Very light weight, great style and for how thin it appears it is incredibly warm. (and it doesn't make you look like the Michelin man) January 10, 2012
Very warm Bought this coat for my grandson who before this could never find a coat he liked or would wear for very long. He loves it and has worn it everyday since he received it. January 10, 2012
Jacket Went Above My Expectations This jacket is like the description says, a solid, wintery jacket. The down keeps me comfortably warm and the outer fabric is wind proof that has held up so far in this Wisconsin winter. The only negative thing I have to say about it is unless you have it zipped almost all the way up, I feel heat being lost out of the neck of the jacket, but with a neck gaiter, you don't even notice. In regards to the appearance, my sister told me that I looked like I was a soccer ball, however, with how warm I was I didn't care. Order one size larger A previous e-mail said that the jacket was too tight across the shoulders. That person is right and you don't have to be a body builder to have that opinion. December 30, 2011
Decent Jacket but Really Not As Warm as the Hype The jacket fits well for my 175 5'8 person, but does not leave adequate room for layering. Would be nice if the hood laid down a bit more as it kinda sticks up. Too heavy for backcountry use. The biggest issue I have is that the Omni-heat is not functional as designed. Most gear manufacturers would know that insulation is what keeps you warm and body heat is what heats it up, providing a barrier with the outside air. The Omni-heat reflective material as placed on the inside of the jacket actually reflects the heat back to your body and away from the insulation, thereby allowing the insulation to cool faster by radiating to the outside air. It would be much more functional if it was on the inside of the outer shell fabric, reflecting all that personal warmth back at ya. As it is designed, I figure you lose 5-10deg of warmth. A scientist/gear head would certainly help! December 14, 2011
I like it I like it, nothing more to say. December 12, 2011
Style I thought I would like the jacket, but I ended up returning it based on style. My 12 year old son said the hexagon pattern looked feminine. My wife said it was a good deal. I wanted them to say it looked great. The stiching pattern and color pattern was not what I wanted in a jacket. November 30, 2011
great jacket great style function and excellent fit. I'm 6'7" and the 2xlt was perfect . November 19, 2011
That's all for winter It looks great, fits well and super warm jacket. I love this goose down jacket. It's unexpected jacket. November 11, 2011
Quality in spades-a serious jacket! With the Hexaholic Down Jacket from Columbia you get quality and innovation in spades. Columbia jackets tend to fit tight especially across the shoulders ..they seem to be sized for wimpy ski bum teens not grown adults who pump iron so size up a notch! That being said this is an excellent jacket and the tough rip stop nylon, and Omni-heat thermal reflective lining give it an edge over most every other brand. I am planning to wear this jacket on my trip to Bratsk Siberia....it's that good! November 6, 2011
SUPER WARM AND COMFY! This jacket is definitely for cold weather. The space blanket like material inside called Omni Heat really warms up as you move. I am glad it had armpits vents. I also really like all the ways you can adjust the jacket to fit better. I have received a lot of compliments on the jacket already. October 22, 2011
Superdopefresh This jacket is awesome, sleeves could be about and 1" shorter but with gloves on that might not be an issue. Buy it if you haven't already won't be disappointed. October 17, 2011
just perfect The jacket is perfect. It's not fluffy as most of the down jackets I've had. The Omni- Heat thermal reflective technology keeps you warm but not sweating. October 12, 2011
