A good purchase There are many features I like about this jacket: Velcro over the zipper flap, large interior pockets, a lined hood, of course the goose down (very warm), reflective interior lining, and a water repellent shell to name a few. I would have like the hood to be removable, which would by default then added a collar to the jacket. This helps when the hood is down, protecting the neck area. That is possibly my only complaint. I like this jacket. February 20, 2013

down jacket the picture makes the coat look bigger then it is runs small got a xxl and its tight in chest area and arms . can only wear a thermal. may send it back February 4, 2013

warm and toasty I'm not much for lengthy reviews. The fact is it is an incredibly warm coat. It"s a little bulky but obviously so considering it is down. I feel impervious to the outside elements with the jacket. It's nice. December 27, 2012

Great fit and WARM I am 5' 8", 165 lbs with a 42 inch chest. A large fits me perfect. This has a slightly more tailored fit than most columbia jackets that I tried on. I wanted a "I'm not getting cold today" jacket and this fits the bill. Within a week of getting this I was outside in 28 degree weather, windy with gusts to 35 mph. Under was a very lightweight thermal T with a short sleeve T over it and I stayed warm. The wind did not penetrate this jacket. Columbia: Would be better with a removable hood. December 27, 2012

How to measure

Neck: Measure at the base or thickest part of your neck.
Chest/Bust: Measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.
Waist: Measure around natural waistline, allowing tape measure to sit comfortably.
Sleeves: Start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder to the elbow and down to the the wrist. Round up to the next even number.
Inseam: Measure from the top of the interior leg to the bottom of the ankle.
