Good shorts for water These shorts are a bit tight at the hip and the velcro fly is not the best. Otherwise they are a sturdy material and comfortable. If you are only going to get one short this year go with the Columbia Drain Makers. I bought those and these and I prefer the Drain Maker more. July 27, 2012

Skinny dipping? I really like these shorts and I have two pair, but be aware the grey verision is the closest thing to skinny dipping. Very see through when wet. July 18, 2012

One of my fav board shorts The fit is really well. I do like the bottle opener and hook (for key ring ect.) in the leg pocket. I have to agree with everybody else on the fly, the velcro needs some improvement. May 9, 2012

velcro fly is laughable at best you guys missed the mark on this fly closure. you have a fly opening of about 4.5 in. with a piece of velcro maybe 2 in at best, come on, really! put a zipper or something. July 30, 2011

So close yet so far... Shorts are good, material is good, look and feel are good, but one important flaw. There are 2 small 1/2" x 2" strips of velcro holding the fly closed. The upper one holds just fine as it is also held by the waist tie, but the lower one pops open just about every time you move. Bought these because I thought they looked cool and comfortable, but nothing is cool and comfortable about walking around with your fly undone all the time, or constantly checking out your own crotch to ensure it's not. How to measure

Neck: Measure at the base or thickest part of your neck.
Chest/Bust: Measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.
Waist: Measure around natural waistline, allowing tape measure to sit comfortably.
Sleeves: Start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder to the elbow and down to the the wrist. Round up to the next even number.
Inseam: Measure from the top of the interior leg to the bottom of the ankle.
