Long Armed Lady This hoodie is long to begin with and the sleeves are longer than the body. I had my sleeves hemmed up a bit and a little taken out of the sleeves (too much room). Overall very nice quality, just had to do some adjustments. April 30, 2013

My Columbia Fleece is the best I am So Happy with my columbia Fleece , the size is a little big for medium but still looks great , I am a landscaper and allways working at the outside , it fills warm, cozy ..I recomend it absolutely April 4, 2013
Fits Large bought it post Baby# 3 for the spring. As per measurements provided I ordered an XL and inspite of being a large woman, I found it fits loose. Love the pockets and length but do not like the sleeve lenght. I am 5'2 and the sleeves are way to long. Need to get hemmed otherwise its perfect. April 1, 2013
Terrible Fit I have several Benton Springs fleece short jackets and love the fit and comfort. I fell in love when I first saw this jacket--with the plum color, the hoodie and the longer length. SO disappointed! I can't imagine who this coat is made for. Not only is the body much tighter than the short jacket, the sleeves are terribly tight and 6 inches longer than my fingertips. Cute and functional! I bought this as a little treat for myself. It's tapered fit is so classy, and the soft fleece and cuddly hood are very functional. I usually just wear this around the house to keep warm, but it's fitted enough to be dressy with a pair of nice jeans and tall boots. I would def buy again in another color or as a gift for someone. Very odd fit I really want a longer version of the full zip, but this item had to go back. The color was fine, and the fit was okay through the body (I sized up, having read the reviews), but the sleeves were very tight and way too long. I don't have large arms so I wasn't the problem. There was also no way to adjust the hood or fasten it, so that was a useless appendage. Hope you try again. March 25, 2013
not cozie I have a few Columbia fleece. I love the tight wrists and especially the thumb whole. This fleece had bell bottom sleeves. The wind could go right up the sleeve. Not what I want when I wear a fleece. March 24, 2013

love the style and fit I could only give this a good rating because even though the style, fit and workmanship were excellent, the material is poor quality. I was expecting polar fleece. Some reviews I read, before purchasing, said they didn't like the material either but I decided to order anyway because I did like the style. Now I know what they meant. I still kept the jacket. Flattering but not so warm Bought 2 of these Benton Springs Women's Long Hoodies - one for myself and one for my daughter. Love the shape- except for the bell like sleeves; which are 'extra long' as in other reviews - which really let the cold air in. I think that it is much more stylish than other similar fleece jackets, or 'sweatshirt' hoodies. This 'hoodie' is a light weight fleece. It has two roomy zip pockets - not huge but very useable. The hood is lined with silky fabric. The zip up creates a stand up collar , and the hood somehow stays folded up on itself, for the most part; so if you were to neglect to use it at the first drizzle, it will not be soaked on the inside. The hood is too big for me really and there is no way to tighten it up. The overall length is long . Sleeves and hem come down past my butt to my thighs at the point where my fingers reach with my arms at my sides. Definitely covers the gap area that we sometimes have with modern low cut pants, although it will not really be long enough to sit on the jacket and keep your pants protected. I am about 5'3", 115 lbs and bought a size Medium for myself. This gives me a loose fit with plenty of room for bulky layers. I could surely fit into a small, I think. The gap of the bell shaped sleeves does bug me, and I am considering ways to personalize the fit at the wrists. Perhaps some sort of velcro would be easiest for me, as I used to have a raincoat with adjustible cuffs, and this might do the trick. Actual sewing might work ( without cutting) to just add a sort of dart to take up the extra fabric. Overall plan to keep them, and enjoy looking more feminine. February 26, 2013
seems to b a nice product, but to big after reviews said it ran small i was so excited to get this in the mail, i read all the reviews before i bought and they said this jacket ran small so i bought a large, well guess what its to BIG, so now i have to return it, wish i had just ordered my reg. size instead of listening to all the reviews, such a hassle, not sure if i should reorder a smaller size...think i will stick to buying in the stores....thanks February 23, 2013

Glad I Didn't Buy it With My Own Money The fit is pretty good except the sleeves are four to five inches too long. The fabric is thin and seems cheap. Poor Quality I had high hopes for this fleece after reading the other reviews. I ordered the sea salt in an XS. (5'4" 110 lbs, 26 waist) The sleeves were too long but the waist was too tight and I found the quality to be lacking. (You could see my dark jeans through the fleece.) Great jacket! The length of this is about the same as a pea coat which is exactly what I wanted. I have a small child and carrying him often makes other jackets ride up. This one is long enough to keep me covered. I ordered a small. I am generally a small or medium and went with the small because you were sold out of medium in the color I wanted. I am very glad I got small because even on top of a sweater or sweatshirt if feels big....not big enough to warrant a return just bigger than I was expecting. I also have to roll up the sleeves as they are a little long. I am 5'6" and 120 lbs if that helps anyone determine the size of the coat. The hood actually stays on my head because the zipper zips far enough to keep it in place. This is great. I hate a hood that flies off in the wind. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and have enjoyed other Columbia items in the past as well. February 7, 2013
awesome hoodie women's benton springs long hoodie is wonderfully warm. I bought mine a little larger than I needed and I wear another hoodie underneath and it keep me warm on those cold winter days. benton springs long hoodie I own a couple different styles of Columbia fleece and saw the long on line. I had not seen this before and wanted to to try it. It is fitted perfectly and hood is large enough to cover my whole head and not fall back, wich is important here in Oregon were we get so much rain. The pockets are deep enough that stuff won't fall out and the length is great. The sleeves are a bit long but, that seems to be the style now. I would buy the bright red if it were still available...hint hint... anyway I think that anyone that trys in on will really like it and, it comes in a great assortment of colors. great idea I love the style of this jacket, however, as usual the top is cut for a tall skinny person. In my opinion, Columbia makes their women's tops way too long and they are getting skinnier and skinnier around the body. They don't make enough of their women's clothes in petite. Best Columbia Fleece Jacket yet!!!! Columbia found the only way to make the Benton Springs Hoodie better - make it longer. I love love love the longer tunic length which now covers your buns. Too tight! This fleece hoodie was chosen because it seemed to be what I needed for fall and spring chill, plus could be worn under a water-shielding outer jacket. The color was also appealing to me (surplus green). However, I could barely even pull the sleeves over my arms; and, those are the slender parts of my body! Good basic fleece After reading many reviews that said the sleeves were too long I knew it would fit me perfectly! I'm 6', so it is very difficult to find casual jackets with sleeves that are long enough. The fit of the rest of the jacket is a little large, but it leaves room for bulkier sweaters underneath. I highly recommend this jacket for taller women. I get compliments every time I wear it. The only dissapointment was that only the hood is lined. November 21, 2012
Wierd hood design I loved the idea of a LONG, lightweight jacket that ends at lower hip length. However, the hood design does not work. Off, it looks ok, but on, the hood is too big and bulky and attaches to the jacket oddly. Please offer a LONG jacket just like this with NO hood (so it would be more versatile seasonally) and with sleeves that end in elastic wrists, just as regular Columbia Benton Spring fleeces do, to keep out the wind. A slightly heavier fleece would be good. P.S. It is the longer-than-average sleeves of Columbia fleeces that make them a must-have for my long-armed family! We live in them all winter long in Boston. very nice and soft as promised. I really like wearing this jacket. it covers my backside with extra warmth and makes me feel fully dressed and together.A thin layer underneath is recommended, anything heavier would be too tight in the armpits. I just wish the same lining as in the hood would have extended to the whole garment for better draping. Sleeves are extra long and can be folded back for those people who don't like their sleeves to extend over their wrists. Thecomfortable pockets are importend to me. November 15, 2012

This hoodie is very slimming I love the longer length of the hoodie. At first thought it seemed too thin but very warm and good for layering, raincoat fits nicely over it. I am a size 8 and the medium fits perfect. The only adjustment I would make is the sleeves are 2 inches too long for me, I cuff them. How to measure
- Chest/Bust: Measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.
- Waist: Measure around natural waistline, allowing tape measure to sit comfortably.
- Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
- Sleeves: Start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder to the elbow and down to the the wrist. Round up to the next even number.
- Inseam: Measure from the top of the interior leg to the bottom of the ankle.
