the zipper opens by itself This jacket would be adequate except the zipper opens by itself from the bottom. It is amazing that a coat at this price won't even stay closed. The jacket is also very heavy. January 30, 2012

Good jacket I love this jacket. The only issue I had was it did come with a rip in it when I got it but I got that fixed.It fits perfect. The only thing is it is a little annoying sometimes if I want to keep it on in the car or when I am doing something while I am sitting it is pretty stiff so it feels funny.I read the reviews about the jacket fitting too small. a little disappointing A LOT of money.The zipper split the first time I put it on.The thumb hole split on the third time I put it on.The sleeve attachment snap ripped off on the the fourth time I put it on.I guess I didn't realize that I had to treat my very expensive new coat with kid gloves. Nowhere near as good as my Titanium I shopped around for a few weeks trying to decide on the right coat. Have loved Titanium coats in the past, and thought this would be similar but even better because of the Omni-Heat. I was disappointed. I tried to wear the inner jacket alone like I always did my Titanium one and froze. I guess if I wanted to wear a huge Parka everywhere I could be warmer, but was hoping the inner layer would keep me as warm as my old one. I am always cold so like to wear a smaller coat everywhere and then add the other layer when necessary. I am returning the coat. Hope I can find something where the inner layer will be warmer, especially for $300 bucks! December 9, 2011

Good Purchase I purchased this jacket to replace my last columbia jacket that lasted 10 years. The size zippers help customize the jacket to fit you and your size. Its already snowed and rained since I have had the jacket so I am pleased with the continued quality columbia offers. November 28, 2011
Great Jacket I am glad I read the reviews. It is a great color...but runs small. I usually wear a small but ordered the medium. It is a good fit but could be a little roomier for a medium. I have not worn yet. Bought for cold weather to snow blow and for up north visits. I don't ski and I hate winter. This jacket will keep me warm! November 25, 2011

High quality but be careful of the sizing.... The jacket is fantasic. Very nice cut and feels great. The only complaint I have so far is that I purchased the XL because I'm somewhat chesty and even the XL seems to run a bit small.With all of the zippers unzipped it fit's ok, but with them zipped up uhm yeah, snug. Great coat, but small front pockets My daughter is enjoying this coat. It fits great, she loves the color, thumb-holes are nice, and it's been very warm. The only fault we've noticed is in the two front pockets; she can hardly get her whole hand in it. I guess the design with the side slimming zippers took the pocket space. November 14, 2011
Adjustable Fit is AWESOME I love this coat- perfect for casual wear or on the Mountain. The 4 zippers around the garment are perfect to adjust the fit to make it accommodate the amount of layers I am wearing under. When I have alot on i can un-zip them all, or when i am just wearing the shell i can zip them all up for a more snug fit. It's also a neat idea because it seems like it could adjust to fit any shape of women. Nice Work! November 10, 2011
Not enough quality for the price So far, I'm pretty disappointed with this $300 jacket. Already, the thumb holes are getting bigger and coming unraveled and I have only owned it a little over a week. The hood is not quite large enough, and the zipper has already come apart from the bottom once and luckily was fixed with a rezip. It is warm, but not quite as warm as I expected. Wind comes through pretty easily even while wearing the hard and soft shell together. The tag says made in Vietnam. I am not impressed. I had hoped this would have been a good investment in a high quality jacket that would easily last at least 5 years. Obviously, I was wrong. November 9, 2011
Should have bought sooner! I love this coat and should have bought it sooner. I purchased this coat to replace my older Columbia coat, which I had for 12 years. I was hesitant because of the price but it is worth every penny. I love the two layers and all the pockets. I find it runs true to size and love that I can unzip the extensions for a larger fit. Awesome and beautiful Jacket! Moving Tucson to Indiana I knew I would need a warm jacket. I got this jacket in blue and it is true to the picture! I have tried both jackets on together and it was comfortable (not too cramped). I also liked how slimming it looked unlike most jackets of this size. I have only worn the white under jacket outside so far since it has only been in the 30's. The jacket is great for outside (breaking the wind and keeping me quite warm despite being 30 degrees) and inside (when work is cold because they are still on A/C). It also is easy to clean, my daughter got jelly on it and I didn't notice until 1 hr later yet it came off easily with water and a paper towel! I love the hole in the inner sleeve for your thumb. It helps keep your hand warmer and the jacket from moving too much. Finally, the length of the jacket is amazing because I don't have to pull it back down like others that ride up. October 22, 2011

This was good. Everything else warmth is Columbia that I already knew and trust. I am loyal fan of columbia clothes and equipment. This was good to impress her with. She says it's warm when she wore it to chill night. We live in Portland Oregon. But we moved here from Los Angeles California. Sunny to Chilly and she needed a good clothes. Great Coat! There is only one drawback that I would mention, and that is the extension zippers on the back and front; they are too stiff. They tend to jab into you when you sit down. Otherwise the design and features of the coat are great. Well thought out. October 12, 2011
Bugaboo Tech Parka I think the features the bugaboo tech parka offer are amazing but I ordered a XL and it is almost too small. The columbia coat I have now is a M so I thought this would be plenty big but was not really impressed with size when it came. In the last few years they must have changed the way the sizes run.
