Rated 5 out of 5 by Works just the way you want them too. When I first saw the price I thought it was a little on the pricey side but after having them for a few years I found them to be well worth it. Due to sun damage it became important to keep the back of my hands out of the sun. The problem was how to do that in a way that 100% covered at all time (something that doesn't wear off) but not getting in the way of doing things with my hands. These are it. I use them now for everything in the sun from mowing the grass to hiking and taking pictures. There has never be a problem doing anything with them on. The first pair I got have been used a lot and still in great shape, even the palms where I expected wear to show it has not. If you want something very light and 100% effective these are it. I have big hands and the L/EL fit snug and comfortable even after 8 hours on. August 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by great, functional gloves I've used a lot of sun gloves. These are comfortable, provide good "feel" when you are holding something, and the rubber knobs provide an excellent grip. August 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by beats putting on sunblock I live on my motorcycle and I burn real easy and don't like gloves all the time these are great you can't tell you have them on. I can ride all day and no burn great got my first pair at Bass Proshop better prices here August 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great sun protection I used these extensively on a 70 mile canoe trip. They were very comfortable and protected my hands. All the seams and materials held up great. August 4, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fishing Gloves I used these for salmon fishing and I like the gripping material on the palms and the light weight material. July 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by great tennis gloves I typically wear a ladies large. these were ok but loose for playing tennis. These were easy to sew up the sides and they worked perfect. The hand grips prevent slipping. Highly recommend for sports and driving!! Bought beige color. Will buy another pair June 9, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good, if they fit you. I intended to use these gloves to do field research on a river (sampling fish) and also on dry land (hiking out and collecting vegetation samples). I am female and ordered a S/M. I have a very typical small to medium glove size in latex and nitrile gloves and they were quite a bit larger than I would have liked--definitely too large to use on the river where things tend to stretch out. With that said, they're a great material and cover the right amount of my hands. I like that they cover my wrist plus a couple on inches, allowing my hands and arms to be protected all the way to my long sleeve shirt sleeves. Also, they cover my fingers just up to the bend in my knuckles, allowing great dexterity. I will definitely use them for hiking, but wish there was a smaller size for more slender hands. May 24, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Product I am a runner concerned about skin cancer. This is my 2nd pair of these gloves, this pair is the Fossil. Fit is better than the first pair. Ran a marathon with them and never bothered by them at all. May 17, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by sun gloves will keep my hands from getting to much sun while I am fly fishing just as promised great product April 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by CoolHead I'm a Charter Captain and always in the sun so these fingerless gloves are the best thing for keeping my hands safe from the harmful rays of the sun. Very comfortable and a dream to wear all day. I have 2 pair so I don't get caught with one in the wash and not have one on the boat. April 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by finally found right gloves looked all over and compared. tried different types, brands, etc. these proved to be the best of all choices. April 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by fingerless gloves great for protecting the back of hands from sun while driving and at any time outside February 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product I wear these while delivering mail in FL. Great sun protection and they cut down on paper cuts! January 19, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Too big I would have loved these gloves for keeping the sun off my hands while fishing, but even the S/M were very loose on me. It's a shame because they're well made as always and I liked the grip dots on the palms, they would be very useful. December 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Coolhead Fingerless Gloves I am a physical educator and outside the majority of my work week. I also spend the weekends outside as well. These gloves are so user friendly, protective and extremely comfortable. Thanks for a great product! October 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect These gloves are made for fishing...great fit and feel. Perfect! August 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very comfortable I bought these gloves because I felt like I needed the sun protection but dont like greasy sun screen. These worked perfectly. Very light and comfortable and I actually forgot I had them on a few times. July 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Must have I had reservations about getting these but had too because I don't like to put sunscreen on my hands when I will be handling baits and such and the need for sun protection won out. Boy are they great. I thought that they might hinder fishing but I fished all day and didn't even remember that I had them on. Your hands get the most sun exposure of any place on your body so please protect them and get some of these gloves. The only downside that I have is the same as everyone else. They should come in a bigger variety of sizes. June 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Must Have Love these gloves! They keep the sun off of my hands while fishing all day! June 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Fishing Gloves Great gloves for fishing. They fit great and I forget they are even there. May 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Coolhead™ Fingerless Gloves Use these fishing and they protect my hands from the sun and work well gripping and unhooking fish. March 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fine Task Gloves Great glove choice for me. I put them to work protecting my hands from long sun days fly Fishing. In season, I need a very light weight glove that allows me to tie knots, grab trout and keep UV rays at bay. As an ultra-light task glove, these 'Coolheads' fit the bill for me. January 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by good and fast ok I like the product December 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 Fine SPF products I am a runner with a family history of melanoma. I purchased coolhead fingerless gloves, freezer arm sleeves and Trail Dryer hat. The gloves and sleeves provide a noticeable chill on the back of my hands and arms. Harder to notice on the hat, but it does handle sweat better than most hats I've had. All great products. August 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by A warm weather must. I have this and the older model of these demigloves. The addition of the grip dots is a good upgrade. Grip at times with the first model could be a problem with big fish and long fights. I primarily wear them for sun protection. August 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by My cool head gloves These gloves were just what I was looking for to protect my hands from the sun. Not only did it protect my hands from the sun it keeps them cool and gives me a super grip on my kayak paddle. July 14, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Gloves missed the mark I purchased an Omni-Freeze kit that included these very expensive gloves. I noticed right from the get go that the technology was different than the other products. I don't feel the same cooling effect that the other products provide either. I wear these daily hoping there is going to be some magic but I've been disappointed. They do provide sun protection though. July 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by lightweight sun gloves A great glove to keep the sun off your hands while fishing or doing other water related activities. They provide protection while being able to use your fingers for tying knots. May 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great sun protection! These gloves were just as described. True to size. Wish the sizes could be divided a bit more. I bought the L/XL and was concerned they might not fit well. They are slightly small on my hands but work fine in spite of that. April 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Thin, lightweight, versatile Great for taking the chill off in a non-bulky package. These are thin, lightweight, and dry fast. Provides for a bit of added warmth while allowing for full dexterity of the fingers. I used them for running, biking, and driving. The grip dots on the underside took a minute to get used to, however. Probably won't hold up if snagged by something sharp, but stretch really well. March 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fishing gloves The Coolhead gloves are very comfortable...also cool...even in very hot fishing conditions. They are easy to rinse out if you catch a lot of fish and they get fishy. Great protection for the hands yet does not hinder hand functions. September 10, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice durable gloves! The Coolhead Fingerless Gloves fit nice, keep the sun off my hands, cut down on cuts from handling fish, allow me to tie knots without any hassles and clean up with just a quick soapy washing. August 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Coolhead Fingerless Sun Gloves These gloves are well made, two of the seams did not come together correctly in one thumb and one finger but I do not believe this will be a problem. I am a Bass fisherman and my hands are always exposed to the sun. These will keep the amount of burning I experience to a minimum. August 5, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the fingerless angler gloves... Bought these on a whim, hoping to find some real practical use for them bass fishing. Found them to be extremely light and comfortable, but more importantly, they were extremely dexterous during wet weather. The grip and hold on my rod and reel in the rain was better than expected, not to mention protective of my thumbs when handling fish... Great impulsive purchase! Highly recommended... July 23, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bought two! Wear these gloves when I am driving (one pair for the car) and one when I am hiking (one pair with my hiking gear). Great quality and very comfortable. When I reorder I will buy one size smaller to compare the fit. Wish the sizes came in S, M, L, XL and not SM and L XL. July 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent gloves I had been using the older style of glove and needed new ones so I got this new style. The material is lighter so it breathes better and still gives great sun protection. These dry faster than the older material. The fingers are shorter than other brands which is a major advantage for the way I fish (vertical jig with my finger holding the line). The fingers go up to the first knuckle whereas other brands go up to the second knuckle - I prefer shorter. I primarily fish crappie, and their fins shredded my old ones with the heavier material, so it remains to be seen how this lighter material will stand up. I'm an average 6' 180lb guy and the L/XL fit great. For big guys with big hands, they might be tight. July 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cool! Gloves do keep the hands cool when using trekking poles, sweat evaporates keeping hands dry, as well as protecting the hands from sun at high elevations. July 17, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by gloves I fish on the lake 5 day a week. the gloves keep the sun off my hands. July 10, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the glove I purchased the Coolhead Gloves and love them! So much so that I bought more for gifts. My only issue is they run big. I got them in the smallest size and actually have larger hand's but they were still roomy. Would rather they were a bit tighter. They work very well and I will get more. I hope you will continue to make them! July 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent fishing gloves gloves fit great and the textured palms are an excellent addition! Perfect for a sunny day on the water. June 15, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great lightweight glove Lightweight. Rubberized palm for good grip. Keeps the sun off with no bulk or loss of function June 11, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by LOVE'EM—Nice & Lightweight ONLY OUTDOOR ACTIVITY: I am an avid golfer (2-7x week, depending on time of year). Golf gloves make my hand stink (if i keep'em on the whole round). I bought these to golf with. I keep'em on pretty much the whole round and have no problem, no more stinky hands, and have good grip, and hardly notice i'm wearing anything. I was looking for UPF as last year was diagnosed with a melanoma, and have several other moles removed since. It's only June, in the Pacific NW, (not that many real hot days yet) so I'm not real sure on the cooling factor part of these gloves yet. My only gripe would be that they are a bit big as they only come s/m or l/xl, in unisex sizes, maybe if they were split into smaller for women and bigger for men, they might be a better fit ... or maybe add kids' sizes, that might fit better. June 11, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Gloves These gloves are like a second skin, cool, form-fitting but not tight. I use them for kayaking, paddle-boarding, and riding horseback. May 30, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by perfect solution I've been wearing Columbia long sleeve shirts, and while they are perfect for protecting the arms/torso, my hands still soak up the sun all day on the boat. Got these gloves so my hands don't age 20 years in a day, and so far I love them. They are light, do not restrict movement, keeps hands cool, and they have little rubber grips on the palm side to keep things secure. I don't consider my hands to be xtra large, but the L/XL size fits fine. May 27, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by blasted tag Pros: - silicone grips on the palm are great - cool and quick drying - excellent sun protection Cons: - no way to remove tags (which bite into your wrist) without damaging the gloves Depends: - I'd prefer the fingers to be a little longer. These only cover your knuckle, not the next knuckle on your finger like other gloves Question: - write up says UPF 30, list of features says UPF 50. Which is it? May 21, 2012
