Women's Switchback™ II Jacket is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 81.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed in the quality of this jacket. For the money it could be a good value. We expected more from the Colombia brand though. It will be an ok coat for our teenage daughter for a couple of years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality I own a Columbia rain coat. It's 12 years old but still looks. Rand new so when I had to purchase a rain coat for my college student it was with out a doubt an easy decision! I purchased this rain coat for her and she LOVES it! It's not baggy or oversized and is true to size. It's vented for the humid Va Beach weather. I am quite pleased as she is a college student and while living on campus I know she will need this! It is well worth the money and I know it's durable as mine still looks brand new!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice jacket I had been looking for a rain jacket for a while, but didn't want to pay over $100 as I had seen in some other stores. The Switchback II was a great option, and on sale! It's really lightweight so it's perfect for summer, and I can layer under if needed for spring or fall. Flattering fit too, which is important. I didn't want a big boxy jacket. I'd recommend this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what my daughter wanted This was a purchase for my daughter. She is thrilled with it. She wanted a light weight jacket that wouldn't hinder her during sports and keep the Oregon drizzle at bay. Columbia always has our back (pun intended).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comforable length The jacket packs nicely for traveling. I like the way the hood packs neatly away in the collar when is it not raining. I choose white for visibility on dark and cloudy days.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A little different than what I expected, but still good. I bought this as a lightweight waterproof jacket to wear in the spring/summer when it's too hot, but you freeze if you go into a air conditioner building, or if it rains. I like that it is lightweight and can fold up into it's own pocket for easy packing. The material was a bit different than what I expected. It makes a crinkling sound when you move and is very thin. I think the term "shell" fits better than "jacket." I ordered the black color. In the website picture the zipper is black which makes it look very sleek, however the one I got has a silver zipper that doesn't look as nice. The jacket works well for what I purchased it for and I will probably get a lot of use out of it, however, if I had seen this jacket in a store rather than online, I probably would not have purchased it. I have a attached a picture of my jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Switchback II jacket Great jacket. Purchased for myself for our Alaskan cruise, but it was a little tight in the chest area. So my daughter used it and loved it. Sizing runs a little small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Jacket I LOVE my new Columbia Switchback II Jacket! It is very well made, it breathes and it is waterproof. The fit is perfect. Because I am a golfer, it is important to have good range of motion in a jacket, and I feel very comfortable swinging the club in this one. A winner!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, lightweight rain jacket. Great for travel. Bought the jacket as it appeared lightweight and I wanted a lightweight jacket for travel that wouldn't add a lot of bulk or weight to my suitcase...and it was exactly what I was looking for. Size ran true. Also, living in the South, it's perfect for when those regular afternoon showers appear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rain jacket! This jacket is really lightweight and breatheable but still keeps you protected for the rain. I love it!
Date published: 2017-06-23
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Rain Jacket Is exactly as described, light weight, breathable, waterproof. Not meant for very cold temperatures but perfect for rain in the summer, spring or fall. I love that it folds into one of the front pockets and can be zipped up for easy storage or packing for travel. Really love the blue color as well!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks nice I bought this for Spring rains in WV. Its light enough to run in but doesn't keel you dry if you are in thevrain for long. It was a nice same price but would but a nicer one next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great one! I love the jacket, very light though warm (for a chilly/ windy day) and easy to wash. Comfy and in style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is great! I got this product for my sister for her birthday! She loves to hike and loves camping. She uses it all the time for those rainy, muggy hiking days and says it is a really good use to her. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket for the price This jacket is really nice. Price was great (got it on sale). It runs pretty true to size.
Date published: 2017-05-26
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great raincoat I got this for an easy packable raincoat. Columbia runs a little big for me so.I consistently wear an xs. It's thin so it probably wouldn't keep you warm. I think its a great travel coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sharp looking jacket! I saw someone else wearing one and decide I had to have it! It is a nice jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect in Seattle Love this. Fits my wife perfect. True to size. Its light weight and keeps her dry on those rainy spring mornings.
Date published: 2017-05-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! Love this jacket. Perfect for sudden rain storm or drizzle. Note this jacket is meant more for protecting rather than warmth, so it will not replace all your jackets! Brought on every hiking trip since it is easily packable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket! Such a great rain jacket. Definitely does not provide warmth, it's super lightweight. Great for warm, rainy days. So comfortable and flattering!
Date published: 2017-04-30
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great simple jacket This jacket is great. It is thin so don't expect warmth. It it true to size so if you need room for layering maybe order up a size. I am 5'8" 175 lbs 36C / curvy body type and medium fit me but I opetd for a large so I would have room for layers but just wearing the large doesn't look sloppy so that is a plus. It has a nice cut slightly athletic so it isn't boxy on me which I like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for wet and dry weather My Daughter loves this jacket, she likes the stylish look. The color is great and she loves how the hood rolls into the collar. Great fit. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rain shell Style is sharp. The fit is excellent and the jacket functions as a rain shell should. My wife loves it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from product has amazing features I brought this for my mom and she loves it. She sad it fits perfect and is very comfortable good for a nice spring day
Date published: 2017-04-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rain Jacket Just today I used this jacket to ride my bike in the rain, and it worked like a charm. I bought size XL because I have a Columbia hoodie that XL, but I probably could have gone with a L. However, the size will be perfect for layering. The hood rolls up under the collar, which is a nice feature. The jacket really isn't made for warmth, so don't expect that. If you wan't to use it in chilly weather, you will need to layer.
Date published: 2017-04-09
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rain Jacket I loved the cut and fit but didn't care for the material. It was thin and clingy not like the previous jacket I had purchased.
Date published: 2017-04-06
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket Jacket is great quality and flattering fit. True to size. Would love it even more if it was lined
Date published: 2017-04-06
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Happy I was so excited to receive this jacket because of the crazy amount of rain CA has been getting lately and was terribly disappointed. First, it was too small, so it left no room for layers. Second, the collar was abnormally high and uncomfortable. The overall workmanship of the jacket was of perfect quality but the way the jacket was cut was weird.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from favorite jacket This has become my favorite jacket. It is nice quality, he hood is a good size, the design and look is very nice. I really recommended. I'm 132 5'2 I got a small.
Date published: 2017-02-24
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Okay. It's okay. It's extremely thin! So I recommend wearing a sweater underneath it. I wear a small, I'm 5'2, 130 pounds & this jacket fits me a little large. Would of wished it was a slight tighter.
Date published: 2017-02-24
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice lightweight coat This coat is a great lightweight option. Living in Florida, we often have warm rain where I do not need a thick rain coat. This coat (in pink) is colorful and functional. The fit is a bit oversized as one would expect with most outerwear. If you want a slimmer fit, you may want to size down. I take an extra small regularly so that was not an option, but the extra small fits reasonably well.
Date published: 2017-02-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cute and stylish Stylish and love the collar. I got the white and it is snow white. Pockets too and hood tucks away out of sight.
Date published: 2017-02-05
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very thin see through material I usually wear a medium but I had to buy a large after reading the reviews. I bought this jacket color in white and it's completely see through. The material is also extremely thin. Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket, lightweight, fits true to size This is a very good jacket, overall. It's very lightweight. The fit is great, slightly slim around the waistline, which makes it look more fashionable than other rain jackets. I'm 5'4 and 115 lbs, I got a size small. It fits great with just a t-shirt inside. It's also roomy enough to wear on top of my winter bomber jacket. I recently wore this jacket to iceland in December, it kept me dry for most of the time in the rainy/snowy weather in the Nordic country. However, it can't withstand serious rain for extended periods of time. I wore it on a 3-hr hike in heavy rain, my inner winter jacket got wet by the end of the hike. Nevertheless, I would recommend this jacket to those who are not looking for something that's absolutely waterproof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Raincoat I bought the yellow and, because I commute to work on my bike, I like the visibility. I also really like that it does not have a mesh lining and packs nice and small. Plus you can roll up the hood and not have it in the way of the helmet but it's there if you need it. Another great product from Columbia!
Date published: 2016-11-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from In Love I bought this jacket in the mist color and I love it. It's lightweight but warm, you call roll it up and store it in virtually any bag. The hood zips into its own pouch when you don't want to use it. The only thing was I found the arms to be a little long, the cuff hitting me at my thumb joint instead of up near my wrist. I'm 5'5" and 135 pounds, I bought a small and it's perfect.
Date published: 2016-10-21
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice jacket, but too big! As the title states, it's nice, but too big. I normally take an XS, but after reading other reviews about Columbia jackets running too small, I decided to get the S. Wish I got the XS. I'm about 5'4", 110 lbs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Thanks Columbia Affordable shipped to my house within 7 days. Thin material yet the sleeves are a bit long but, I can manage because it have velcro round the wrist to adjust the fit. I am 5'4 weighing around 158. The jacket I ordered is a medium, fits perfect roomy enough to fit another hoodie under the jacket . THANKS ! Can't wait to wear in the RAIN.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice light weight windbreaker I was looking for a waterproof light weight wind breaker to wear in warm weather. Nice fit & quality. Would recommend.
Date published: 2016-09-27
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice jacket with a nice feminine cut I ordered a medium which is my usual size in Columbia clothes but this jacket sizing runs a size smaller than what you would usually buy. I am a 36C and this jacket is obviously too tight under the arpits. And I tried it on wearing a thin tank top! The material is not totally opaque but I don't care about that. Has a nice feminine cut. Well made, I got the Hot Coral color and I love it. The sleeve length does run long; does have nice adjustable velcro on the wrist area. I like this jacket as it is soft and you stow it away. Strongly suggesting you order one size larger.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bright Orange This jacket described as Hot Coral is more like a BRIGHT ORANGE. It is pretty but way more orange than I expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! I have been waiting for a jackey like this my whole life! It's the perfect jacket for rainy days...Not for cold weather but definitely keeps you dry!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it The jacket is super light which makes it perfect for humid raining days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I purchased this jacket for a summer Viking Cruise on the Rhine. One day we had light rain and another we had very heavy rain. The jacket performed beautifully. I was not the least bit wet. Since it folds into it's own pocket I was able to carry it in my backpack for all excursions. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! Great fitting jacket. It actually has some shape not a box cut! Love the hidden hood. Fits to size!
Date published: 2016-07-27
Rated 5 out of 5 by from well-designed and lightweight I was looking for something to be prepared for unxpected wind or deluge with the least inconvenience. Inconvenienced is lugging around an article of clothing that is bulky, awkward and heavy that in the end was unnecessary. A rain coat capable of handling tropical deluge requires a functional hood, cuffs and zipper; very tricky to do so remaining extremely lightweight, and this jacket nails it on the head. I am very pleased with Columbia's attention to detail when constructing this very cleverly designed jacket that can fit in a handbag practically unnoticeable, safe and secured within a zippered bag that can never be lost or misplaced. The only detail I can find left out is hanging loop at the collar to not risk damage to the hood by sharp edges but its light weight puts no great strain on the hood. I chose the extra large size to accommodate a variety of clothing and allow additional ventilation so necessary here in a climate that is humid enough when it's not raining. I could have used some clues how to bag it but once I discovered the 2 sided pocket zipper stuffing it in was a breeze and really appreciate there is no separate bag to keep track of. One must remember that features to achieve an exceptionaly functional hood also increase the garment weight as well as production costs passed down to the consumer. Also expect some degree of fragility in regard to sharp edges and violent tugging of zippers. I chose this jacket primarily for function, quality of construction and ability to withstand moderate abuse worthy of full price and with so much accomplished at so little weight, it is a bargain.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jacket I love the jacket. The design is great. I am disappointed with the way it fits.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Meh I was so excited to get this light spring/fall jacket. It was everything I thought I was looking for but ended up falling short. First of all, its too light. I didn't think I wanted anything heavier but this is a jacket for a day when there is a slight breeze and its about 60 degrees, not windy 50 degree days. Second of all, (and this is my main dislike) it's a rain coat/ wind breaker. SO WHY WON'T MY STINKIN' HOOD STAY UP WHEN ITS RAINING AND WINDY!!!! This is the biggest complaint I have for this jacket. No matter what I cannot get that hood to stay up without holding it. This was really what I bought the jacket for and it doesn't meet expectations. Not sure if it is just the material or what but it is sooo frustrating! Wish I had a review like this before I bought it, so here ya go. I think this jacket could great if it was what you were specifically looking for but I just wanted to inform others of my experiences.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chic lightweight rain jacket I love this jacket! Its perfect for warm climates and brightens up a rainy day while still looking good as a windbreaker. Its very lightweight and fitted. This jacket is exactly what I was looking for!
