She is 10 and the arms are a tiny bit long, but I am sure she will grow into it, especially with arms that can get even longer as needed. She says this coat is super warm and can wear it outside in layers and be great. She did a 3 mile hike in 40 degree weather and said it was the best ever.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mhenry from Mid-weight active jacket for snow fun! The good news is the jacket runs a little big, which should give us up to 3 seasons with it for our daughter. The Omni-heat lining was not immediately to the liking of her though, as she likes things "fuzzy." Cured that with matching a fleece underneath on colder days, which quickly gets taken off once she starts running around as the jacket provides good warmth and nice resistance from winter winds.

I Love the fit plus it keeps her comfortable and warm. We live in Washington so it doesn't get too cold. But, for skiing we plan on layering with a Columbia fleece hoodie. That should do the trick!

The coat seems warm, but she hasn’t had the opportunity to wear it in cold weather yet (October was very warm!). She can’t wait to try it out in the snow!

It is not as thick/bulky as many kids' jackets but still appears to be warm. Waterproof is necessary here in the NW and the cute pink color matches the Columbia waterproof tennis shoes we just bought her. The outgrow means that it will last her a few seasons for sure.

I can always count on Columbia winter wear to be water proof, warm, and easy to move around in. When it's cold, dressing in layers can make snowboarding or sledding very difficult. But the material used here is very movable. Great product! Thanks!
