I got the white one, the material can keep u cool, but you have to let the kid wear a shirt underneath otherwise it’s see through. It will be great for summer especially go to beach.

Good sun shirt — runs small
Bought a size L for my 10 year old and it fits fine. Glad we got the next size up. It’s perfect for going to the beach and hiking and not having to worry about reapplying sunscreen. Thin enough to be in sun and not get too hot. Agree with another reviewer that the branding down the arm is too bold and in my opinion distasteful advertising for a child. Other than that, this shirt performs great!

This hoodie is made of the same thin material like most of the Columbia t-shirts. It’s perfect for transitioning through fall and spring. My boys love the material and it gives you lots of layering options for cooler mornings but warmer days. Runs a tad bit small. It’s a keeper!!

Great Function BUT...
We bought these in black for a week-long paddle trip on the Main Salmon River. My girls wore them everyday. These hoodies helped minimize sun exposure and gave them another layer of warmth in the chilly mornings. They performed just as expected and - from a functional perspective - I would recommend them to anyone. However, I really resent the giant Columbia PFG branding down the sleeve, which kind of ruined a lot of otherwise great pictures from this trip. In retrospect, had I not been in a pinch finding kids' SPF hoodies at the end of the summer, I would have bought something with a lot less branding. Unless you are paying my kid to adventure, please refrain in the future from putting such blatant branding on children's clothing. It's not very cool for a brand to do.

Great purchase.

I bought this for my son and he absolutely loves it. He is constantly outside and on the water so this sun hoodie is perfect for him. The only complaint I have is that while the shirt fits him in the shoulders, the sleeves have to be rolled up because they go well over his hands.

Superb quality
I bought the hoodie style shirt because my son has cancer and needs the coverage, especially on his cute bald head. He’s sensitive to sunlight due to chemo. Since it’s summer and it gets real hot in GA; we needed a long sleeve shirt that was light weight, and something that protects/covers his skin. A perfect find and solves all those issues.

Perfect sleeve lenght
As a tall, slender female, I have a hard time finding long sleeve shirts that are fitted in the mid section and have sleeves long enough to cover my wrist (I'm 5'9" & 135 lb.). The Boys long sleeves fit perfectly!! The sleeve goes past my wrist bone & the waist & chest aren't baggy! Def recommend for the ladies!

LOVE It! Color is crazy amazing! Fits like butter and feels more like jamy's (pj's). But stays nice all day on the boat in the water and on land. I ordered a Girls XL and I wear a Ladies M or size 8. Beware of Snags
Although this is a great weight and long sleeve piece that is adorable on, my daughter wore it once and it looks horrible with all of the snags it got and she was just jumping on a trampoline! Ughh. Kids pieces need to be bulletproof from everyday wear and tear.
