Rated 2 out of 5 by Nottall from Sleeves are too long I love Columbia but the sleeves in everything of theirs are too long now. Small size in jackets make me feel like a little kid in the sleeves. 30 is a good length. If anything make XS in mens, we're not all tall.

Do if I wear it, I need to make sure the shirt or sweater i'm wearing is thick enough to keep my arms warm. Other than that it's a really nice jacket.

In additional to several winter coats (I bought the Rugged Parka this year), I have a few Columbia raincoats and at least one fleece. Previously, around this time of year, when it rained, I would layer a fleece with one of my Columbia jackets. Although that works, this year I wanted additional mobility, so I bought the Sherpa. The Sherpa is light-weight, but the inner lining keeps you warm and the outer shell will keep the rain off of you. I just tried the jacket in a light rain (without an umbrella) and you can see that the water pellets don't penetrate the shell.

The page claims it is Water Resistent...........But my Tag on the Coat says Water Proof.......We know there is a BIG difference....I will find out when it rains.

After trying on a variety of jackets at the store, this one was just the weight I needed and the fit felt perfect as soon as I tried it on. Didn't notice until I tried it on at home that unlike other Columbia jackets it has no interior pockets for sunglasses or whatever, which to me is a significant omission. I'm keeping the jacket but sorry and surprised it lacks that versatility.
