Women’s Midweight Stretch Baselayer Tight is rated out of 5 by 44.
Rated 5 out of 5 by OrygunVegan from Perfect for winter travels I recently traveled to Europe, in deep January, with only my carry-on. I bought these as my single pair of black leggings and I think they are great! They are light and pack up tiny. The silver lining adds a layer of warmth you can't get from normal leggings - I wore them in snowy conditions and otherwise cold days and was grateful; even if they are not bulletproof they were at least warmer and lighter than the alternatives. They also are quality; not at all sheer or see-through, and I didn't feel I had to worry about random snags. They breathe well - I wound up wearing them on an unexpected bouldering venture during the same trip; was a little afraid I'd be too hot from this was not the case. My only sadness is that of course Columbia doesn't make size petite so they are too long and bag up around the ankles. I could deal with this because they were being stuffed into snowboots, anyway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mardoer from Great fitting baselayer for tall women I’m a size 16 to 18 in pants and am 5’8” tall and often find baselayer tights too short and small. But I’m very pleased with these tights that fit beautifully in an XL and they are very comfortable. I use them for cross country skiing and they are perfect for that since I’m active. I was warm enough with an insulated tight on top of them. I also got the long sleeved mid weight shirt which again fits true to size for a size 16 top and it worked well too. In fact with a mid-layer over the baselayer top and the Omni-Heat jacket over that, even on a very cold day, I was too warm on top, which is fine! Easy to remove a layer. These would be great for travel as they are very light weight and thin enough to wear under jeans etc. Very happy with this set! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by KRK00 from Excellent Base Layer These base layer tights are lovely. They are light weight but very warm. The don't have any obtrusive seems to cause irritation under a ski boot. They are reasonably form fitting, but not super tight or compression style. I'm buying another pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FrozenMama from Great base layer These tights fit great and keep me warm while out skiing or just out and about. While they are a stretch material, they did not stretch out and kept their shape all day, which is a must for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ylebron from Very warm I felt that it works good but it works even better is you use them with a legging underneath than against your skin. It kept me very warm in 20 degree weather. Defenitly in my go to winter cloths.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mcsmith81 from Not bulky and heat-efficient! I like to be able to actually move when I'm on the slopes or playing in the snow. These are thin and warm, but neither clingy or itchy. I've got both the top and bottoms and was plenty warm when active at temps from 8 F to 25F. Started to sweat above that with just the base layer and ski pants. Thanks guys, great job with these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Micheleworksoutside from a wardrobe staple Thin and warm. I am almost 5'9 (150 lbs) and the mediums are long enough. Lined with the silver tinfoiily stuff. I can wear without a butt covering and it isn't too revealing. Also looks good with a skirt. I should have bought 2 pairs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Vivienne from Midweight Stretch Baselayer Tights The midweight baselayer seems to work decently at keeping me warm. My legs didn't really notice the low temperature (around 40 degrees F) while walking outside for a bit, except maybe for the cold wind. And it kept me warm indoors when the heat wasn't working well. Only issue was noticing it can be a little itchy with the reflective material touching your skin, but only once in a while. I wore it all day, and it made me a little itchy once or twice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Angie15 from Great I purchased these thermals for a trip to Yellowstone early in the year. I wore them under the Saturday Trail Stretch Pants on hikes and it couldn't have worked out better. They are thin enough to easily fit under pants, and stretchy enough for me to hike in two layers of pants without being constrained. I stayed warm in temperatures in the 30s while hiking, and hiking in snow. When it warmed up, it wicked away any sweat and kept me comfortable. I would definitely buy it again and highly recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mads28 from Great leggings I was concerned about buying online, but when they showed up they were perfect. The reflective material really keeps me warm and doesn’t feel any different than normal legging material. They are super stretchy (not loose) and fit very complimentary.

Rated 1 out of 5 by lizard85 from Disappointed Main reason for the poor review is the poor construction for the high price. I had these for 5 weeks and only wore a couple of times and the stitching between the elastic band at the top and the pant separated. I now have a 2 inch hole between the band and the pant. Very disappointing. Other reason, was I was hoping to wear as a standalone on walks with my dog, but they are not as warm as I was hoping for from a mid-weight legging. Regular knit leggings are warmer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CarolP from Great tights! I bought these to use as long underwear while I volunteered outside at Super Bowl 52 in Minnesota. They did not disappoint! They are thin and super comfortable. They were so comfortable I forgot I had them on. I love the omni-heat feature. I have boots and jackets with the "silver lining" as I call it, and they are all super warm. I specifically bought these because of the omni-heat feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kate1395 from Keeps me very warm! I originally purchased these for a winter trip to Shenandoah but found myself using them under my work clothes when VA got very cold weather. I work outside and these fit wonderfully under my clothes and kept me so warm and most importantly dry. Highly recommend! Great product for a good price. For reference, I’m 5’2”, 145# and size M fit great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Esther from Love the OmniHeat Feature I drive 35 km to work on rural roads so wear my winter underwear all the time. I can put these on at 7am, wear them all day at work in various temperatures and when I take them off in the evening, my underwear is NOT damp from sweat and I am not feeling chilled. I love them. In fact, I tried to buy some for my large husband but I couldn’t find any in his size. I also have a winter jacket with the OmniHeat feature and love it, especially when it’s cold & windy. Rated 5 out of 5 by ncarnley from Keeps you warm! I wore these for the first time yesterday as a base layer in 40 degree weather and raining. I feel like they really did help with keeping me warm. I do feel like they are a bit longer than other Columbia leggings I own. However, I do have short legs so that is normal for leggings to be long on me. I will more than likely buy the other color sometime soon.

Rated 3 out of 5 by TheBlackPearl from Good base layer This legging is really warm and yet also very breathable. However, the waist is very high, and the elastic band is sharp- it could be a lower waist for those of us that don't want to keep it folded down, and the elastic at the top could be covered and softer. Good materials overall, this is on its way to becoming an excellent product. Could we see a version in this fabric that fits more like a yoga pant waistband instead of a traditional tight?

Rated 5 out of 5 by YosemiteGrl from BEST EVER! I love these leggings so much I cannot express it with words. I wear them backpacking, climbing, hiking, camping, to work, under dresses, and to bed. I've worn them in below zero temperatures (with other layers) and on cool summer days. I own four pairs. Normally I order a Columbia size small, but I like the leggings in a medium just so the elastic waist doesn't cut into me- it does leave the legs with just a little extra space- but I like it that way. I also was initially frustrated that these didn't come with a "short" inseam since I'm 5'2" but because of the design it doesn't matter, they fit great. They are extremely durable. My first two pairs were purchased almost 4 years ago and while thinner than they used to be, they don't have a single hole. This is impressive because I wear them to climb and canyoneer and thus drag them over rocks regularly. These leggings are warm and stylish and extremely functional. You need 5 pairs, just like I do!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Manda12 from Best tights! I originally got the capri version of these tights and wear them all the time. I love them - they even held up when I was chased by a herd of cattle in the English countryside! Got a little torn and scratched, but they're still functional and warm. They fit perfectly. The full length is a little long on me - I got a medium because my backside and legs are a bit big, but I'm 5'4" so they kind of slide down and bunch up around my ankles. All tights that aren't compression tights do this to me. These are warm, very comfortable, durable, and just what I need to run/hike/paddle in the Southeast in the Fall and early winter. They also work great as a baselayer when skiing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by elletra from Not warm at all They feel like regular but good quality tights/ leggings. I don't recommend wearing them in frigid weather, but as a base layer for slightly cold weather is ok.

Rated 5 out of 5 by YoseClimber from I Have Four Pairs! These leggings are perfect for everything. They're light enough to wear around the house, under skirts, and to bed. They're warm enough to wear as a base layer for outdoor adventures. I've worn them in every weather condition and they have kept me toasty. I have worn them climbing many times and bushwhacking and they don't have any holes in them (yet). They're sturdy and attractive! The sizing is good. I am usually between a small and medium and was happy with the medium in this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Plantgirl from Stretchy, warm and comfortable! Love, love these tights! I work and play outside throughout the full Wisconsin winter. These base layer tights are my go to for keeping warm while active outside. They are extremely comfortable and slip easily under a pant layer. Love them and plan to order more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lyndsay16 from Feel great! These are really comfortable and don't feel bulky. They are plenty warm enough when you are being active like cross country skiing. Not quite warm enough when snowmobiling due to the lack of physical activity and wind from driving. Overall they are a really good buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by DJTCLT from Omni Heat I love the Omni Heat products. After purchasing ski pants with the Omni heat my wife and I have purchased full Omni Heat gear including base layers, jackets and hat. We are California skiers so the range of temperatures is wide and the Omni Heat keeps us warm without a lot of layers as well as not overheating.

Bright Plum XL, I'm 5'6" normally a size 18-20 in pants, they were really comfortable and stretchy and warm for a day in the snow (worn under the Anytime Outdoor pants), and did the anti-smell thing so I wore them as leggings under a dress the next day. I love the bright color too!
