Women’s Bugaboo™ Interchange Jacket is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 289.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and functional I ordered this coat online and was pleasantly surprised when it fit properly. The blue on the shell is a lovely shade, and it isn't overly bulky, even with both pieces, so I don't feel like the Michelin Man when I'm wearing it. The shell is light on its own, with a detachable (I think) hood that is big enough to protect your head and face from all but the harshest of weather, and it's roomy enough to accommodate a bulkier hairstyle. The inner jacket is soft on the outside, while the inside is a reflective fabric designed to trap your own body heat to keep you warm, and it does so quite effectively; I have had to unzip in freezing temps just to let in a little cool air. Either piece can be worn comfortably on its own, but they come together like a dream. You can zip the two together, which means you only need to mess with one zipper when you're wearing it, and each piece has a series of coordinated hooks, loops, and snaps that ensure that it feels like one piece. I love this jacket; my body does not do well with extreme temperatures, and this coat lets me go outside and not have to worry too much about how the cold will affect my back. I'm even considering buying the pants next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy Coat purchased has a fleece jacket liner which is so warm. Love the quality of this coat. Perfect for those “snow days.”

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bugaboo Love the coat, nice and warm. Only issue I didn't like is the Velcro closures instead of snaps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable and handle different weathers Bought this for my ski trip and also because I'm tired of getting my coat wet with increasing rain recently. Size s fits perfectly. I'm 5'6, 127 lbs. Sometimes I fit a sweater inside and sometimes it's only my sports tank within. In either case it doesn't look bulky on me. I'm slightly OCD so have washed it three times now. No tearing was observed. The silver insulation layer kept me warm in skiing. My only problem is that they lower the price now which is 30 bucks cheaper than when I bought it...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good Jacket I got this jacket for my wife. Both of us were happy with the product. Its stylish and at the same time functional. There are enough pockets in the jackets and more importantly fits as expected.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from versatile coat This coat is very warm and is usually all I need. The zippered pockets are a wonderful safety feature. The lining is so soft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What we expected. This jacket is what we expected from Columbia. Wife loves it.
Date published: 2018-04-05
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great I love this jacket, specially because even though I order a S it was a larger so great for skiing and layering up.
Date published: 2018-04-02
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too big I have no problems with the quality, I'm a big fan of Columbia. The sizing for this particular product is off. I'm a small in Columbia & ordered such. It was way too big. I'm not even sure an extra small would have fit.
Date published: 2018-03-25
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I love the versatility of this jacket. I can adjust depending on the weather (which may be all four seasons in one day in NC). I expected more out of the omni-heat but it is still decently warm when wearing the inner and outer shells together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat Wore it for a cold morning, then sun appeared and was warmer. Still felt comfortable in the coat, no sweating, protected from the wind.
Date published: 2018-03-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A little bigger than expected but great warmth I typically order medium sizes in coats to accommodate for sweaters, but checking the measurements for this coat I decided to get a small - I'm so glad that I did, as the coat runs somewhat bigger and the small feels like a medium to me. Overall, though, it's great material and has definitely kept me warm!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great quality, but sizing not right Loved everything about the coat except the fit. I had even pulled out my tape measure to be sure I ordered the right size. The entire coat was too large, the sleeves were comically long. It stinks that sleeve length was not included in sizing. I had to pay to return an improperly sized coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool shopping I like this waterproof coat. It is so warm and weather proof. The size is a little big.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and Cozy I teach preschool and have to be outside with my students twice a day and some days it’s cold! This jacket has been great at keeping me warm while my littles go play! It runs a little large I think but it leaves room to add an extra layer if you need it! I love this jacket!
Date published: 2018-02-28
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great winter Jacket I bought this because I was in need of a good quality everyday winter coat. I also wanted something that was versatile and could be used year round i.e. rain jacket, and fleece for milder winter days. This fit the bill and has been great so far. It kept me completely warm on some of our coldest days. The fit was good for me. I am 5'2, 128 pounds and I have extra room to layer if need be. I like the length - covers my bottom; the arms are a little past my wrist, so this could easily work for a women taller than me. I am only giving it 4 stars because I have not had the jacket long and am not sure how the jacket will hold up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Economic and effective Ski trip to the mountains yielded 6 degree weather on the side of the mountain and I was very comfortable. Allowed for good movement and very functional. Would recommend again just as I would with most products from Columbia.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This coat is GARBAGE!! So, this is my third Bugaboo coat. The first two are still in use and good condition (1st one is 15+yrs old "Green"& 2nd coat "Pink" was purchased 5+ years ago). I decided to purchase another one, since I was so very happy with the two I still wear. I wanted to get a new color, so I ordered the black one. The quality of this coat is very disappointing. Columbia should be embarrassed by putting out such a poor quality coat. It has not kept me warm. The other two I own are large, the new large is way too big. The zip out liner sleeves hanged out past the outer shell sleeves. The features I love about my other two are missing in this new one. To get to the inside coat pocket, you need to remove the zip out liner...WHY! The first two have snaps up the front, new one has Velcro. I hate Velcro The zip out liners on first two have a nylon outer shell with a fleece liner. The new one does not have the nylon outside, its just a cheap fleece liner so I cant wear just the zip out liner in the rain/snow. This is promotes as "Three coats in one" and this new one is not. Its one coat with a fleece liner. The new one has no substance to it - i.e. very flimsy and the zip out fleece is of low quality, not thick to keep me warm. The new black Bugaboo will be designated to spring & fall. I just cant use it for winter. Wore it out today and the wind just cut through the coat and I was cold the entire time. The other two keep me warm, I cant see myself wearing this in the cold wind and snow. So Very Disappointed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bugaboo 3 in 1 jacket Nice 3 in 1 coat. Fleece inside jacket can be worn as 1 item. The outside shell can be worn as a rain jacket. When you wear it all together this is a very nice and warm winter jacket. It keeps you warm and dry even in a cold snowstorm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, sturdy and lightweight The jacket is thinner than you would expect given the warmth that it provides

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket for my teenager My teenager daughter loves this jacket. It fits her swimmers shoulders perfectly and allows her plenty of room to move without being bulky. Extremely warm even here in New England.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3 in 1 interchange I was expecting it to be thicker, but overall I really love the jacket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat I love Columbia jackets and they're my go to when I need a new one. This jacket is warm and comfortable. The only thing I wish it had was an inside chest pocket on the inner jacket. The shell has one, but with the liner in you can't access it without unzipping the two layers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchased a second time I bought this jacket a year ago and loved it then. It’s very warm in all types of weather. Wind. Wet. Frigid. Perfect. I lost this jacket in a housefire and loved it so much that I bought it again! Very versatile.
Date published: 2018-02-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I wore this jacket every day while I was in Europe recently. It was the perfect choice; warm but not a heavy piece of outerwear. I ordered a large because there was indication it fit snugly; probably could have ordered medium; but I prefer not to have tight outerwear, leaving room for sweaters, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warmth I had a Columbia coat for the last 20 years, and felt it was time for a new one. I really like how warm it is!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for winter I bought this jacket for winter, but its now working. I think it will good for summer cold time, or for sprinf/fall. I like cold weather, im not person who want to be at home, i like walking outside. When was 30-25 ° not too cold, but this jacket is working. My friend bought mans jacket, its really working for winter.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good jacket but don't like the color Really nice warm practical jacket but don't like navy color and the fleece is brown is not very nice. But in a different color then it would be a yes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and Cozy Jacket This is the best jacket I've ever had! It's so warm and cozy, I'll be going back for more in different colors. Excellent quality and beautiful style. Perfect for winter in California. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Ski Jacket I purchased this coat for my daughter to wear on our ski trip. It totally exceeded my expectations. It was 19 degrees and she did not get cold. This is our third bug a boo jacket from Columbia. Would definitely buy another one.
Date published: 2018-02-10
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not as warm as the older version I purchased this jacket to replace my 3 in 1 from several years ago and it does not keep me nearly as warm. The fleece is thinner and jacket not as wind resistant. Still a good quality product. Great company to deal with!
Date published: 2018-02-10
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful purchase, love it! The title says it all, true to size, warm and nice looking, good solid materials. Just wish more colors are available, and mix and match colors can be an option in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket This is my 3rd 3-in-1 jacket from Columbia. They never disappoint. This jacket is great for skiing and other winter activities. I ordered the Blush color and it’s beautiful in person, not to mention extremely warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jacket worked perfect for sking The bugaboo jacket was as described. I took it in a ski trip and it worked perfect. It kept me warm and fitted perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Winter Coat! This coat fits perfectly. I'm about 5'8" and purchased a medium. The sleeves are long and the waist goes far enough down to where I'm not worried about moving around and it riding up. The fleece layer inside is also incredibly warm on its own. I am VERY happy with this purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Baraboo jacket Love the light weight and the warmth the omni reflective lining gives.
Date published: 2018-02-04
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good quality This coat has some great features but was ultimately too big for me. If you like your jacket to fit loosely it would be a good jacket for you. Had plenty of pockets and was very sturdy but not made warm enough for being outside for long periods of time
Date published: 2018-02-03
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fit Just what I wanted, a quality, warm jacket for skiing on the coldest days. Plenty of room to move around but still fits comfortably.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat I purchased this coat for my daughter and she loves it! The fit and function are perfect and she was happy that the color of the coat matched the picture. (Sometimes they don’t.) We bought it in blue and she is very happy with it. The only thing she did say is that she wishes she would have ordered a medium in order to layer more, but she still decided to keep the small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome jacket I ordered this for myself. I wanted something warm but not bulky. This jacket is exactly what I was looking for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I wear this jacket everyday and it keeps me warmer than all my other jackets kinda spendy but it’s worth it
Date published: 2018-02-02
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this jacket! I had a similar Columbia jacket that is now 10 years old; the inner jacket is still beautiful but the outer one is showing some minor wear. I decided to donate it to a women's shelter and buy a new one. (Please don't hate me for not giving the NEW coat to the shelter.) This is an incredible coat-within-a-coat for cold weather. Comfortable, easy-care, and versatile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Love It! Fits perfect, I am constantly cold and this jacket ensured I was warm on the mountain. No complaints. The omni-heat is exactly what was needed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beware -- not true to size! I really wanted to like this Bugaboo jacket; I've heard SO many good things about this style over the years. I have a blue-plaid Whirlibird that's on its 3rd winter season and I get SO many compliments on it; I wanted another Columbia winter jacket. No size "small" Whirlibird jackets available in any color I liked, so I chose the charcoal gray Bugaboo with (what I thought was) a scarlet fleece underjacket, according to the website photo. My first disappointment -- which I might have learned to live with -- was that the fleece zip-in, zip-out jacket is actually a sort of awful rust brown. I mean, really, who puts charcoal gray and rust brown together and calls it good? But the bigger disappointment was the sizing. I ordered a women's small based on my Whirlibird, which fits perfectly. I am 5'5" tall and weigh 115 lbs. I put on the Bugaboo, zipped it and was instantly swimming around in it. The sleeves, notably, are HUGE -- really, both of my arms would fit in each (I actually did this). The sleeves are plenty long -- a slight plus, because I have long arms -- but the square cut of the jacket likely means, for most ladies, that you need to order a size down unless you are planning to wear three layers underneath. And, of course, not having to wear three layers underneath is the whole point of having a Columbia jacket. Compared to the Whirlibird, the fleece underjacket of the Bugaboo is very thin and feels flimsy. I like the puffier style of the Whirlibird underjacket much better, but that is, of course, personal preference. I've never seen the reflective OmniHeat technology used with fleece; it's an interesting concept and I'm interested to hear how well it works. So, the color (clash) and the sizing being way off simply combined to make this purchase an instant return. I've decided to wait to see next year's color / print versions of the trusty Whirlibird and get a new one when they're first offered (rather than waiting for the sale).
