My only complaint is that the arm holes could be a little bigger. They feel a little tight with heavier clothes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by grumblefish from Worth every penny! Today is the first day out for my Ruby Falls Long Down Jacket. I commute by train, and temps were in the teens this morning with wind chills around zero, yet I was warm and toasty standing on the train platform and on my walk to the office. The coat is warm but not bulky at all. It is wide enough at the bottom to navigate stairs and the big step up onto the train car without unsnapping the rear vents when fully zipped, even though at 5'5", the coat reaches nearly to my ankles. The pockets are roomy and deep enough for gloves and my phone, and could hold more. My favorite part may be that the hood is appropriately sized and actually stays on my head without flopping backwards in the wind or falling over my eyes, but there is still enough room underneath for a stocking cap. I normally wear a size large in Columbia outerwear, and a large in this coat fits well, as expected. I've worn other brands of down coats, but always return to Columbia, and am so happy to see a full length coat back in the line up!
